It was peaceful.
Stars. They shone ever so brightly. Along with the moon, she glistened no matter what. The constellations shifted gently like trees swaying with the wind.
You enjoyed the stargazing. Nobody to bother you.
“Well, look what the cat dragged in!” A familiar yet…annoying voice. *sigh* Jax.
“Just when I thought I could have a moment of peace to myself… How are you, Jax.?” You asked to let go of the bad mood. “Pfft, me? Y’know I’m always fine.” His words oozed like poison. He lazily flopped on the soft, digital grass, letting out a deep sigh.
“…is this what you do in your free time or what?” Jax finally asked. You slowly nodded, mesmerised by the sapphire sky as it slowly painted itself. “Pfft, seems fitting for someone like you. An old lady who needs herself a walking stick.~” He joked, amused at your flustered state.
“Jax, I’m only 30! We have an 8 year difference!” You told him. God, he has to make everything so weird. Jax snorted and lay back on the grass. “You’re proving my point though. You’re stiff with jokes. Only old people do that.”
Damn he was right. You groaned in frustration and stood up. You moved somewhere else and hugged your knees. Jax watched you go with a confused look on his face. Did he take it too far or what?
He slowly sat down with you, looking up at the moon. You slowly shifted away from him, touching the grass. He had to say something. “…Y’know. You remind me of the moon sometimes.” That caught your attention.
You looked at him for a second. “There’s my doll!” He said at his ruffled your hair, holding you in a headlock. “H-HEY! LET GO! AHAH-” Jax further messed up your hair, taking your laughter as a victory for him. You sit there, looking at him. “…well. Finish off what you said.” “Said what?” “...”
He couldn’t bear to see your disappointment but…he couldn’t get close. Goddamnit. “..OHH! THAT? Pfft, I just said that to catch your attention.”
What a waste. You sighed, disappointed. You looked up at the stars glimmering through the sky.
Suddenly an arm was wrapped around your shoulder. Jax. Jax pulled you closer to him.
“Look. I said it to catch your attention. But I didn’t say it was false.”
Your face heated up. Heavily. “Are you SERIOUSLY blushing? I mean, hey, I’m pretty handsome myself.” He plucks the bow off your head and attaches it to his chest. “See? The most handsomest rabbit you’ve ever seen!” You laugh. He just looked silly.
“You just look cute now. Not saying you weren’t cute..I MEAN, I AM SO, SO, SO SORRY FOR SAYING THAT! I-I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT I WAS SAYING AND-” Jax sighed, knowing that your apologies just wouldn’t take an end.
Something. Soft. On the lips. He…kissed you.
“..Now shut up. I did that ONLY for you to zip it. Not because I like ya.” And he casually leaned back, fiddling with the bow he took from you.
Maybe he lied about not liking you.
