Summary: Zanka’s blind. Has been for years. Most of the Cleaners are oblivious to it, but everyone who needs to know is already aware (and Enjin Doesn’t Need To Know, RIYO—)

So, yeah, baggage there. But with Assistaff’s help his blindness is basically paperwork (it is not) so there’s no reason to tell Enjin. (Or anyone else.) Besides, their fearless team leader is busy training the new kid! No reason to bother the guy with petty bullshit from years ago. Honestly, I see both Hyo and Riyo suffering from feeling less than human but processing it in different ways. So far, Hyo doesn’t seem bothered by her inability to connect with others; she remains alone and takes whatever jobs come her way to keep herself entertained. I do believe a part of her remains curious about what it’s like to be close to other people while she tries to learn more about herself along the way. 

As for Riyo, she’s clearly bothered that she isn’t changing like everyone else around her with a part of feeling like the same cold assassin as before. She feels stagnant compared to the people around her, watching as they grow while she seems left behind, and doesn’t know what to do with herself. Riyo also wants to change, but she isn’t sure how to go about it.

Hyo and Riyo have spent most of their lives being treated as objects, and now that they’re able to be human, they’re trying to figure out how to be one.
