hi all!!! since this inktober i’ve found myself blissfully between one job ending and another beginning, i’m gonna have another crack at finishing a les mis comic. i’ll be doing a 1-2 page comic for each day and each prompt, then turning the whole thing into a little zine. so here’s a pile of amis to serve as cover art. see y'all october first!!

This is Bandit, a 1-year old border collie. Currently our home isn’t suitable for him, as he requires a lot of space to run plus a lot of daily activities, and our family wants him to go to a new home where he can have his needs met and get the proper attention he deserves. Our area is too small for him, and he sometimes gets loose, and our neighborhood isn’t comfortable with dogs running around freely.
He’s an extremely friendly dog, as he loves everyone and is always happy. If you live in a big space, or possibly you have a farm and are in need of a sheep dog with a big enthusiasm for herding, this is the pup for you!

This story was different actually??? And even better??? The girl, Brooklyn Andracke, used to wave at the truck every thursday and the trashman waved her back. It was a very important to her to do it every week. It was HER birthday, and she decided that she wanted to share her birthday cake with the trashman. She also wanted to meet her hero, whose name is Delvar Dopson.
The girl’s mother thanked Delvar for his work and explained to him how important it is for Brooklyn to wave at him every thursday. He was pretty surprised but he admitted that every time he drove near the house he hoped that the girl would wave at him. That’s not the end of the story though. Next week Delvar had a surprise for the little girl.
He brought her a bunch of amazing birthday gifts!
They both got quite popular, and Delvar is getting a lot of thank you messages from trashmen from all over the world for representing them in such a good way.

I love the idea of Grantaire who’s been raised around the world.
His mother is a journalist who travelled a lot and who took her son everywhere with her. Grantaire has seen wonders and learned so much and can talk multiple languages. He’s been exposed to so many different art forms that inspire his own creations.
But he also felt alone, never staying in one place more than a year. He’s seen conflicts and wars. And for all the beautiful things Grantaire has seen, the bad ones always seen to outweigh the good.
Later on, when he settled in Paris, Grantaire met this group of idealists. He never told them about all the countries he stayed in as a kid, but it slips sometimes in his rants. The ABC starts suspecting something because his rants are a little too on point.
Until he brings a tin box full of pictures of little Grantaire. There is one of him in front of the Eiffel Tower, 6 year old, a big grin on his face. Enjolras pins it on the wall because “I hope that one day you’ll smile like that again.”
