The house hadn't changed, not really. It had a new coat of paint, but the shade was the same and it wasn't decorated any different than she remembered, save the photos hanging on the wall, yet she hadn't made it past the doorway. "Mrs. Kim, you probably don't remember me, but I used to play here all the time as a kid." "How could I forget you? Why I practically had a hand in raising you." The woman hadn't changed at all from memory. There were more wrinkles on her face, but she had worked hard for a living and earned every one, their edges soft and kind and welcoming. "Please, come in. How have you been? Would you like some tea? It's awfully cold out there. You look like you could use some warming up." Haneul slipped off her shoes and stepped inside. "Yes, please. I would love some. Actually, there's a reason I'm here." "Well, let me get you some tea and we'll talk about it." She followed the older woman to the kitchen. "Have a seat. It will just be a few moments. Haneul brushed her hair from her face and pulled a chair out to sit as the back door opened behind her. "Haneul." She stopped at the call. The voice was far deeper than the one from her childhood, but she recognized it nonetheless. Slowly, she turned and felt the tears well in her eyes. "Taehyung." In the next instant, they were in each other's arms, hugging and crying, neither able to formulate words that weren't the other's name. It felt like an eternity and yet entirely too soon when Taehyung pulled away at the sound of a throat clearing. He brushed her hair from her face and wiped her tears, helping her up. She hadn't even noticed that they'd collapsed. "What are you doing here?" "This is my house. I should be asking you that." "Are you sure? I think I slept in your bed more than you growing up." "We shared the bed. I don't know what you're talking about." "I'm talking about how bad you are at introducing people." "Oh, right!" Taehyung smacked his palm to his forehead and turned so he could see Jungkook. "Haneul, this is my best friend Jeon Jungkook. Jungkook, this is Haneul. She was my best friend as a kid." Haneul bowed respectfully, looking the other boy over. He was cute, reminding her of a rabbit. "It's a pleasure to meet you." He muttered politely in return with a slight bow, his cheeks turning pink and looking anywhere except at her. "Tea is on the table. I'll leave you kids to catch up." "Thank you, Mrs. Kim." She turned to smile at the older woman. Taehyung poured tea for them as they sat - Haneul at one end of the table and Jungkook as foar from her as possible at the other. He sat between them and Haneul turned to him, attempting to ease the tension. "You look happy. A lot happier than I remember seeing you." "Don't say that. I was always happy when I was with you. Before you left." "You know I couldn't help that. I was always supposed to come back and visit, but it never worked out where I could and by the time it finally did, I had no reason to because you had left for training." "You still should have come. My mom would have loved to see you and Eon Jin always thought of you like a big sister. You know that Jeong Gyu had a crush on you." "How could I forget that? He only gave me every flower I was allergic to because you told him they were my favorites." "He asked why you cried and sneezed each time too and I said you were allergic to him." They laughed and Taehyung grabbed her hand where it rested on the table. It was an old habit that felt natural, but Haneul didn't miss Jungkook balling his hands into fists before hiding them in his lap. Reluctantly, she pulled her hand away. "You probably know all about my career," Taehyung continued, not seeming to notice anything. "What have you been doing since you left?" "I moved around several times for dad's work and worked multiple part-time jobs to help make ends meet. I'm in-between jobs right now, so I thought I would have a small vacation and visit my aunt and uncle." "Have you met anyone?" She shook her head. "I know it's stupid, but I made a promise to this boy I used to know that I couldn't date anyone he didn't approve of and I haven't forgotten that." "Funny. I made the same promise to this girl." They smiled at each other and Haneul stood. "It's getting late. I should go." "I'll walk you!" Taehyung nearly knocked over his chair in his haste. Jungkook was calmer, addressing only Taehyung as he spoke. "I'm going to bed." "Okay, I'll be back before long."

Silky black hair and deep chocolate eyes. He used to braid that hair when he was little, used to kiss the cheek of a girl with those warm, brown eyes. She was merely a girl from his childhood. They hadn't spoken since they were eight - since she moved away. So why did a simple trip back to his hometown of Daegu have him thinking of her?
Kim Taehyung didn't understand it. He let his head drop against the train window, cold from the winter rain outside.
"Haneul..." A mutter under his breath.
"Did you say something?" Jeon Jungkook leaned forward to peer at his face. BTS was on a break, but the two had decided to take theirs together.
Taehyung shook his head. "No, nothing. What stop are we at?"
"We're going to you're home and you don't know? It's a good thing I came with you or you'd be lost."
"I was watching the scenery!" He hit his best friend lightly.
Jungkook laughed, pushing him in retaliation. "We're the next stop."
The rest of the ride was short and then Taehyung was hugging his parents at the station. His siblings met him at the car the moment they arrived at the house. There were hugs and tears, and anything else was forced to wait until Eon Jin and Jeong Gyu gave Jungkook a tour.
The evening passed quickly and before Taehyung knew it, they were sitting on the back porch after dinner. He leaned his head back against the wall, breathing in the scent of his home.
There was a fond tone in his mother's voice as bits and pieces of her conversation drifted out to the bandmates. Curious, he stood and opened the door to see who the recipient of his mother's fondness was.
He froze. That hair was much longer than he remembered, though it still shaped the same face - slimmer now that she was grown. Taehyung didn't register the words as his own.
"Haneul."

Kim Taehyung has always been in love with his best friend, but he has never been able to tell her. Now Lim Leah is off to college in the city and distance wonât be the only hardship. Sheâs making new friends and a rival for Taehyung who goes by the name Jeon Jungkook.
Masterlist Chapter One Chapter Two Chapter Three Chapter Four Chapter Five (WIP)
Leah spent her first week at university organizing her room at the dorm and creating a plan. Her plan would die when classes began, but she liked to pretend she knew what she was doing. She didn't have a lot, but due to her night owl tendencies, she had paid the extra to get a room to herself. Unless it was for food or to go to the bathroom - she still shared a communal bath with the girls on her floor - she didn't leave her room for the first few days. Looking for a part-time job also helped her procrastinate going out into a part of the city she was unfamiliar with. Leah met very few people in those days, but by Friday, she was going stir-crazy. Unlike many of the girls she saw, her skin already held a light tan to it and it drew more than a few eyes as she walked down the street. She ducked her head and turned into a nearby bookstore when it became too much. At least she might be able to get her textbooks before she rushed back to her room. Leah wasn't used to the attention and all of the times she'd gone out, she'd never been alone. The bookstore wasn't hard to navigate and she quickly found all of her books except that for music composition. Well, she found it, but she couldn't reach it and she didn't want to ask the elderly lady running the store to climb and retrieve it for her. With no other options, she turned to the only other customer in the store, his dark hair and eyes appearing black in the poor lighting. "Excuse me," she started, voice surprisingly steady despite the anxiety she felt. He jumped, more zoned out than she had initially believed. "Could you reach that music comp book for me?" His smile was pure, angelic. "Of course." He had to rise up onto his toes to reach, but he got it nonetheless. "Music major?" She nodded. "Thank you. Yeah, music production. Maybe dance. I haven't decided." "As a dance major, let me say it's difficult and intense. You have to really love more than just dancing because the history and everything is important too. I'd do a double major so you can always drop the one you don't like." "I'll keep that in mind." "You go to University of the Arts?" "Yeah?" "Me too. If you need a friend, ask around the dance department for Jimin and you'll find me." "Hey, Jimin," a man with grown-out teal hair called from the doorway. "Are you ready? Let's go." Jimin waved a hand at him. "Hopefully I'll see you around..." "Leah. Yeah, Hopefully." He took off and Leah paid for her books. She'd find him before too long she was sure.
------
Taehyung texted everyday, making Leah miss him far more than she thought she would. Classes still weren't for a couple of days and she was bored. She had decided not to walk the city alone which left her roaming campus aimlessly. She knew the route between her classes by heart and made progress on some of her songs, but she still needed something to do, someone else to talk to. Opening the door to the dance department, she hoped that Jimin hadn't been lying to her when he said that was where he could be found. The first students she asked were as knew as she was and didn't know him, but an older student passing by overheard and directed her to a practice classroom at the end of the second floor hall. "It's Hoseok's class, but Jimin is almost always there." The room wasn't hard to find and when Leah peeked through the window by the door, she found Jimin - hair freshly bleached blond - sitting among a small group of three others. His smile appeared when she walked in and he greeted her with a hug, reminding her of Taehyung. "Hey, Leah! I wasn't sure if you would actually come. I had hoped because you seemed cool, but you just never know." "I was going crazy in my room and I don't know anyone, so here I am." "You know me." "And Jimin knows everyone, so, by default, you do too. He's the biggest social butterfly," supplied one of his friends who Leah believed to be the man from the bookstore, his teal hair now dyed a mint green. "Let me introduce you," Jimin said, pulling her over to them. "You kinda-sorta know of Yoongi. He used to go here, but he dropped. If you take those dance classes, you will officially meet Hoseok as Mr. Jung, but he's the coolest teacher here so everyone just calls him Hoseok. Don't feel bad if Jungkook takes a bit to warm up to you. He barely talks to anyone until he's comfortable with them." "You're telling me you aren't sure if you're going to take dance classes or not?" Hoseok's look was that of fake offense. Leah shrugged, joining them on the floor. "Jimin made them sound hard." "Jiminie, don't scare away potential students." "I said you had to be committed. She's twisting my words." Jimin pouted, Jungkook and Yoongi snickered, and Hoseok outright bellowed. "He said that they were torture, you're the devil incarnate, and it's a punishment worse than going to Hell." "Leah, no please..." "I'll make them hell just for you, Jimin." They all laughed while he groaned. She sent Taehyung a quick text: I made friends. You'd like them. "Jungkook, you're majoring in dance, right? I'll have you in my classes?" "Partly, yeah. I'll have a double major, but I haven't officially declared them. I just haven't found which are the best for becoming an idol." He was confident until he looked to Leah, then he ducked his head and let dark brown hair fall over darker eyes. Yoongi nudged him. "If you want, I'll start taking you to a few of my show. I'll even pay your performance fee until you get the hang of it." "You perform," she asked. Yoongi nodded. "I started here to learn some tricks of the trade and dropped to become a freelancer. Most of my shows are in the Underground, but occasionally I do a few at my friend's cafe." "Do you sing or...?" Jimin, Hoseok, and Jungkook burst out laughing. "You only listen to Yoongi sing if you want your eardrums destroyed," Hoseok announced, receiving a shove from the man in question. "I'm a rapper and I write all of my own material. Sometimes Jimin dances up there with me, but he makes things sexual and it's weird." "I do not! He sometimes writes parts for me to sing too." "There are times where you don't wear a shirt while performing and that is weird." "To you. The people watching like it." "I'm going to stop letting you perform with me." "No," he cried, attaching himself to the other's arm." "What about you, Leah? What dream did you come here to fulfill?" Hoseok leaned back against the wall. Despite his carefree demeanor, he kept a distinctive line between being a friend and being a teacher. "Songwriter or producer. Something along those lines." "You sing?" Jimin asked, letting Yoongi pry him off. "God, no. I'll join Yoongi in the tone deaf department. I can only write songs." "How do you know your songs are any good?" All eyes turned to Jungkook, but before anyone could attack him for the seemingly rude question, he clarified. "I mean that there are a ton of people trying to do that same thing. What makes your songs better than theirs? What makes them different?" "I don't know that they're better, but they're different because no one else will write songs like mine with the exact background and meaning that I have given them. All I can do is work for it and hope it pays off." "And if it doesn't," Yoongi asked, leaning forward with interest. Leah shrugged. "Then I'll find something else to do here in the city or I'll move back to my dad's farm, I guess." "You would give up that easy?" Jimin moved to lay on his back, using Yoongi's knee as a pillow while the other man rolled his eyes at him. "I'll give it all I have, but if no one will sing what I write, there's nothing I can do. My friend Taehyung always used to help me work out the kinks because he could actually hold a tune." Hoseok began to gather paperwork Leah hadn't noticed he had. "Why aren't you here as a duo then?" "Taehyung doesn't want to be a singer. He likes the farm life. I don't think he's ever even been to the city." "That makes sense. I'd love to continue this conversation, but I unfortunately have a staff meeting to get to. Finalizing lesson plans and all that jazz, so I'm going to have to kick you out now," he announced and the group reluctantly got to their feet. Jimin looped his arm through Leah's. "We can go to the cafe and you can join us when you finish if you're up for it. Jin, Joonie, and Mina will probably love Leah." Yoongi put a hand on Jimin's shoulder. "Just shoot one of us a text to find out if we're still there if you decide to head over." Hoseok agreed and the four made their way out so he could lock up. Outside, Jimin turned to her. "You don't have to come with us if you don't want to. Inside I made it sound like you didn't have a choice. The cafe is just down the street from that bookstore." "I'll go. I just need to run back to my room and get my wallet." "Yeah, me too," Jungkook mumbled. "Okay, so Yoongi and I can go on ahead and you can meet us there? Or do you want us to wait? Jungkook, you know where it is, right?" He nodded. "We can meet you." "Great! We'll see you there." He dragged Yoongi off, already chattering away. Leah and Jungkook split up to go to their rooms, agreeing to meet back in the same spot.

They were sweating despite the cool of the night, hidden away behind stacks of feed and tools in the barn. Whose barn was it anyway? Neither of them knew. The party had been hosted by a friend of a friend and they had each jumped at the chance to go when the invitation extended to them. The two weren't together, simply childhood friends who had each had too much to drink and let the atmosphere of the party consume them until drunken kisses and curious hands drew them to search for a concluded section of space just for them. Bare skin pressed to bare skin as they lay there, the alcohol in their veins dimming to a faint buzz. She turned her gaze up to him, the question, unspoken, hanging between them until his boxy smile answered her and she rested her head against his shoulder. They wouldn't speak of this. When the heat of their skin finally cooled, goosebumps taking its place, they seperated and dressed, returning to the party like their time in the barn hadn't happened.
--------------
It was days after the party before they saw each other again. School and harvest season were upon them, stealing the time they had for friends. Graduation was approaching and while Taehyung was comfortable with passing up university to work on his family's farm, Leah was not. "I really don't want to spend my life here, Tae. I was born in the city and I miss the thrill of it, the never-ending energy that runs through your veins. I may have only been six when I left, but the weekends I've spent with my mom on occasion were amazing. Not that I don't love the parties thrown out here, but they happen every night in the city." She swung her legs as she talked, sitting next to him on the tailgate of his dad's old pickup. She came alive when she talked about the city and Taehyung loved the twinkle it put in her eyes, the way her smile grew impossibly larger than usual, and how she glowed. What he didn't love was how the city would take her away from him. He knew that she loved the country, wide open spaces and sneaking out to an abandoned field for a party, but she loved the city more. When he and friends would run off to spend a weekend at the lake, she would take off toward the tall building and busy streets, honking cars and hazy, neon lights. Taehyung didn't hate the city, but there was something about the quiet, rural countryside he preferred. "I got accepted into that University I was telling you about and I'm going to be either a music or dance major. I haven't decided yet. I leave the week after graduation." His eyes snapped open - he didn't know when they had closed - landing on her back. "That soon?" "It's still a month and a half away." He sat up, leaning forward to gaze at her face. "It's not a lot of time outside of school and chores. With exams coming up, you'll be cramming for those instead of partying. I'll barely see you." Her eyes met his and if she could see the heartbreak he was experiencing, she didn't show it. "How is this any different from last year? I locked myself away then too." "You weren't leaving at the end of the school year. We've always had all summer to hang out, but this time you're going to be leaving." She laughed, sliding off the tailgate. "It's just college, Tae, not the end of the world. I'll only be two hours away and I won't have weekend classes. We'll find time to hang out, I promise." Then she was smiling at him, the smile that he loved more than anything, and all he could do was nod.
-------
Cramming for finals took more time than Leah had expected. To appease Taehyung who had been whining about how little they saw each other, she went to one post-finals party and two graduation parties. The rest of her time was spent packing. Taehyung saw her off on the day she left, the pout prominent on his face. "You promise to visit? That we'll still hang out?" "Yes, Tae. After I get settled, we will figure out visiting. I don't have a car though, so you may have to come to the city and steal me or hang out there. We'll figure it out, but text me in the meantime." He crushed her in a hug before she climbed into her dad's truck and disappeared in a cloud of dust.

It had been years since they'd last seen each other. She could remember his laugh, the warmth of his hand in hers, his breath against her cheek as they slept so close as only best friends did.
She saw them now, those hands holding others tighter than they had ever held hers, his cheek pressed against those of friends who were closer than the two had ever been - than she would ever be to him again.
She couldn't blame him for their drifting apart. After all, she was the one who left.
"Kim Taehyung," she whispered to the image of the man on the screen, surrounded by members of the group he had found happiness in. "What am I trying so hard to search for?" Choi Haneul wiped a tear from her cheek and turned off the television.Â

Min Yoongi x Reader
Seven months have passed in a haze for Yoongi now that he no longer has you there and his friends are tired of seeing him waste away.

Masterlist
He didn't know how long it had been, yet he knew exactly. The better part of a year passing in a haze, but he could tell anyone who asked that it had been seven months, three days, and eleven hours since you had left him.
He'd never believed it could end like this. After all, you had always told each other forever.
It was one particular memory that his mind kept circling back to.
"Min Yoongi," you had yelled, standing at the edge of the cliff, hands cupped around your mouth, listening to the echo bounce through the canyon. "I love you and I am never going to stop!"
He'd thought you'd looked amazing, even after the three mile hike to the top. Your skin basked in the sunlight, the natural tan looking all the more like his own personal Heaven as he watched you. It had only taken one look, that brief moment of believing that he wouldn't join you in shouting out your love for him to step up to your side and yell out his own vow.
You loved with your whole heart, no reservations or exceptions, and you did so without shame. Yoongi missed that most about you. Once the words were out, you could never hide them from anyone. All your friends knew that you wore your heart on your sleeve, but only Yoongi knew that you would never be the first to say them.
The fear came from past relationships. You said three words and they would leave. Every time. Still, you would never apologize for your love. No, you would simply pick up the broken pieces of your heart and move on to the next one.
Yoongi hadn't meant to say it that night, but he couldn't bring himself to regret it. Two weeks was a considerably short time to have been together for an admittance of love, but the words were true.
Park Jimin had been your friend first, bringing you along to a halloween party at the beach where the two of you met. Unlike himself, Yoongi had wasted no time in coming over to talk to you. He blamed it on the alcohol in his system, but inside he knew that you had been so radiant and warm against the chilly air of the sea.
Yoongi had never been good at flirting, but after a whispered encouragement from Jimin, he had leaned in for a kiss. Surprising him and thus causing him to fall further was how you refused, politely turning your head so he only landed a peck on your cheek. "I don't kiss people for the first time unless they're sober."
"Tomorrow night then. Are you free? For a date, n-not just a kiss." You agreed with a blinding smile on your face.
Over those two weeks, Yoongi became entirely infatuated with you, asking Jimin to help him with outfits for dates and date ideas until he could get to know you well enough. In those first fifteen days, the two of you managed twenty dates. After the first dinner date, he met you for coffee the next morning before your eight a.m. class - nearly giving Kim Seokjin a heart attack when Yoongi walked into the cafe he worked at so early in the morning. It was dates for whatever meal the two of you decided or dates to just hang out. Even when you met the next weekend for another of Jimin's parties, he'd labeled it as a date and you agreed. In all that time, he never once leaned in for a kiss.
On the sixteenth day, you laid on his bed, listening to one of his tracks he'd been working on while he rushed to get ready. "I love that you never get upset when I get distracted and run late."
"Is that all?" He didn't miss the disappointment in your tone.
"I just love you." The words were out before he could stop them, and he froze.
You had simply climbed to your feet and crossed the room to press your lips to his, one hand caressing his cheek. "I love you too."
Yoongi knew he loved you from that first night. He knew you were different when you didn't kiss him and it only felt reinforced now that he knew you felt the same. He said the words again and again, emphasizing them small kisses to your nose, forehead, cheeks, and lips until you dissolved into a git of giggles.
With a groan, he dropped his head against the wall. Yoongi knew it wasn't healthy for him to still be thinking of you this much, but he couldn't help himself. It was nearing a year since the two of you had met and he felt like he was spending the days leading up to it just living in his memories.
At the protest of his muscles - stiff from not being used - he peeled himself out from under his covers and mad his way to the bathroom to shower. Jimin would be there soon with Kim Namjoon and they had said that he had to come out with them no matter what.
The steam rising from his skin told him that the water should burn, but he didn't feel it, instead letting his mind wonder.
You laughed, twirling with your arms wide as the rain pelted into your skin. Yoongi watched you from under his umbrella, refusing to join you in the onslaught of water, but you didn't mind, smiling at him and looking for all the world brighter than the sun. "It's not cold. I promise." He didn't believe you, for it was November. In no way did he attempt to stop you when you threw your arms around his neck with such vigor that he dropped the umbrella anyway to hug you back.
"It's freezing." He accused, face buried in your hair to breathe in the scent of you.
You laughed again, brushing his wet locks from his forehead. "Not once you get used to it."
"Yoongi, are you drowning in there?" Namjoon pounded on the bathroom door, jarring him out of the memory.
He only grunted in response, turning off the now ice cold water. After dressing, he joined his friends in the living room, hating the normality of it.
"You'll thank us for this," Jimin started, placing a hand on his shoulder. "It isn't good for you to stay cooped up in here all the time. When's the last time you cleaned your apartment anyway? It stinks in here."
"I'll call Jin and maybe he'll come clean up for you while we're out," Namjoon added, holding open the door for Jimin to usher Yoongi out.
Yoongi didn't know what the two had planned when they all but shoved him into the back of Namjoon's car, but he figured it would be okay as long as he went through the motions. He opted for staring out the window while they drove, thankful that his friends chose to leave him out of the conversation.
It brought back yet another nostalgic memory.
Yoongi's hand clutched yours tightly on the center console while you sang along to the radio, watching the scenery pass by. It was the fifth month together - your final month together. He was taking you on a vacation trip to a lake he had frequented during high school. It was spring break and neither of you knew it would be your final trip together.
He didn't want to remember and, luckily for him, the car was stopping.
"Why are we here?" This was the last place Yoongi wanted to be and he could already feel his chest constricting.
"Get out of the car, Yoongi. Don't make us drag you. Everyone is waiting," Jimin had a look of no-nonsense snd not even he could argue with it.
Reluctantly, Yoongi climbed out of the car, letting Jimin lead him over the the group. Not everyone, he thought, eyes raking over their huddled forms. Jung Hoseok, Kim Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook, and Jin stood huddled in front of the headstone, turning to face the three as they joined them.
"You actually got him to come," Taehyung voiced before Jungkook's elbow caught his rib.
"Why are we here?"
Hoseok put his hands on Yoongi's shoulders. "Do you know what day it is?"
"October twenty-fourth."
"And what is important about today?"
He didn't want to think about it. Refused to. Knowing that today you would have turned twenty-four caused tears to well in his eyes. What caused them to actually spill down his cheeks was the knowledge that he was the reason you were no longer here to celebrate.
It happened faster than he could react. Watching you singing with the music without a care in the world had tempted him, distracted him. He never wanted to take his eyes off you until he saw yours widen at the road ahead. He barely managed to swerve out of the other lane in time, over correcting and sending the car off the cliff where it bounced and rolled until it hit a tree, crushing in the passenger side.
He could still hear your screams long after you had stopped. Yoongi wanted you to wake up, calling your name, shaking you. He fought against the rescue workers when they pulled him from the wreckage until they final had to sedate him for his own safety and theirs. You survived longer than they expected, waking during the helicopter ride to the hospital, but it was downhill from there.
Yoongi survived with hardly any injuries and getting to sit by your side and apologize repeatedly until your heart stopped beating.
He knelt now beside your grave, the numbness that had encased him for the past seven months wearing off and and the pain setting in. His friends didn't say a word as he cried it out, Jimin rubbing circles into his back to soothe him.
Yoongi survived with hardly any injuries and getting to sit by your side and apologize repeatedly until your heart stopped beating.
Yoongi had been nothing but angry when you had passed. After the first couple of weeks, everyone except him returned to their every day lives. It didn't feel right to him, the way they acted like you had never existed.
"You have to let her go. She loved you and you know she wouldn't blame you. She would want you to let her go," Jimin coaxed quietly. "You've been suffering for too long, Yoongi. It's time to move on."
"It was my fault. She's gone because of me."
"You made a mistake, but you of all people should know that she wouldn't hold that against you. She always believed that everything happened for a reason. You need to trust that this did too."
His tears had stopped and Jimin reached out to brush away their trails when Yoongi nodded.
"I loved her like I've never loved anyone before. Everywhere I look, she's all I see."
"Yoongi, we know you loved her. Anyone could see that, but she would hate to see you like this. You lived, but you aren't living."
"It doesn't feel fair, Jimin!"
"Sometimes, life isn't fair. Let her go."
Yoongi nodded.

Taste the rainbow yâall
So this weekend I found myself chatting with an established comic writer, he asked me about my interest in the matter and I told him I ran a webcomic but before he could even respond I qualified it with;
âWell itâs a fan comic, Iâm not a real comic creator.â He was appalled.
âWhat do you mean youâre not a real comic creator?â He demanded. âDo you have a comic?â
âWell yeah but its a fan comic its not a real-â He literally put his hand on my shoulder to stop me.
âYou have a comic. You made a comic. Youâre putting in the work. Youâre a real comic creator.â He told me about how one of the people he works with on a comic started by writing Mass Effect fanfiction even. Iâve been thinking about that ever since.
Iâve thought about how many times Iâve heard myself and other say things like, âOh, Iâm a writer but I write fanfiction not like real writing.â And thats so bullshit, he was right.Â
If you write youâre a writer, end of story.
To all the fanfic writers and artist out thereâŠhear this!!! What you do is art and is real and you are important, loved, and appreciated. Donât let any douchebag, dickwad tell you otherwise!!!
I didnât realise that even a short review could be so important!Â
Review, review!Â

The young prince ran through the grass, latching onto the other boy who played there. Behind them trailed a boy three years their younger, allowed to follow, but rarely participate. The eldest stumbled when the prince grabbed him, the bug flying free from his grasp. "You made me lose it!"
"So what? It was just a gross bug."
"It's not gross. You're gross."
"I'm not gross. I'm a prince."
"A prince of everything gross."
"At least my mother is a queen and not a harlot."

Akaashi Keiji loved his job. It wasn't a paying job in the work force, but being the school's mascot came with its perks.
He was outgoing, energetic, and excitable; only because no one knew it was him inside the owl suit. He'd found it a month into his first year at Fukurodani High and had immediately gone to talk to the football coach about it.
The coach had been surprised by Akaashi's interest and he tried to talk him out of it. No one else wanted the position because the suit was hot and heavy, but Akaashi refused to be swayed, insisting the he didn't mind the heat or weight of the suit and, when they coach couldn't convince him otherwise, he agreed to let him give it a try.
SILENT WARS (ii)
i wish it would rain a little so these tears in the middle of the sidewalk will be just a little more poetic than what i feel and i seek in concave and convex bulimic pockets emesis boxes esoteric lores some rationales for these puddles and basins pouring out from black-rimmed pinholes that saw infinitesimal infinites of youâ in various lifetimes spent in various lifetimes imagined
pour me an evidence a celebration an announcement to make enduring aches and pains scream themselves out without a sound walled in polysemic janus-speak rising from lonely lakes rumbles deep and silent twisted claws hell-bent teeth and nails and monuments grunts and moans and caves echoes out of my ribcage diluted by the absent present
i wish for a downpour little, even just a little
pour edification a glass of benediction that perhaps the world stopped even just briefly: blink wink think to notice how a red muscle as big as fist tore its ligaments its membranes the walls of its skin
which is to say:
please pour out a testament to resound this heartâs silent strength.

The Best Damn Thing
Oikawa Tooru is perfect.
At least, that's what everyone thinks. Â His entire life has been spent hiding behind the show he puts on. Only Iwaizumi knows where he comes from.
Until Sugawara Koushi came along. From the moment they met, Oikawa has been in deep for the man.
Can he bring himself to forget his past experiences and let the one he loves into his life, or will his relationship follow the same path as his first?
Chapters 2-38 Here

Oikawa stared lazily out the window of the small café. He was bored despite Iwaizumi sitting across from him, but that was because he was ignoring the brunette. His headphones were in as he studied.
At the man's glare, the only attention he got for not doing his work, Oikawa picked up his pen and turned his attention to the paper on the table, but he hated English and his five page essay barely had a paragraph.
He wrote a few more words before propping his head on his hand, disinterest raking over once more. He twirled his pen and watched Iwaizumi . The bells above the café door chimed as someone entered and Oikawa lifted his head slightly to look, biting at the ring on the lower right of his lip.
"Excuse me," said a grey-haired boy with kind features. He smiled and Oikawa bit down harder than intended on his ring and winced. The smile, though clearly fake - and Oikawa only knew because he had mastered the fake smile himself- and small, fit wonderfully on his perfect face.
