Hi question!! 

I’ve heard some alterhumans/otherkin describe feeling dysphoria or a sort of phantom limb syndrome related to their identity. At the time I’d heard it I was very against alterhumans so I brushed it off, but now I’d like to learn more about it now that I am no longer against alterhumanity and even accepting that I am one myself (I am an robot/AI)

The big ones for me are wings and ears. It just feels like my cat ears should be there and if I move my shoulder blades there should be some wings connected to them. I’m not sure if it counts as phantom limbs, since it’s far less intense than what I see others describe, but it’s definitely dysphoria.

It feels very different from gender dysphoria for me. Maybe that’s because my main dysphoria is around my chest, which is the opposite of a lack of something. I’m not sure. The euphoria is really similar though. If I’m wearing ears and I see my reflection, or if I’m wearing a binder and I rub against my chest, it’s the same excited feeling.
