Mind you, the Ao3 was originally his based on the name. He just never got around to posting anything. I made a pseudonym and decided it could be fun to share. I have zero idea if he’ll agree to post any of his current projects either. Sigh.

The internet suggests The Flash is technically accurate. It just looks really weird used repeatedly in fanfic IMO. Tell me which is less jarring for you? Or if the internet lied to me.

It looks even weirder when it’s The Reverse-Flash, too. Especially in one fic where it’s shortened for files, so it’d be … The RF? It just seems wrong.

According to The Flash (1959)/Vol 1 #309 (May 1982), today, April 23rd, at precisely 6:14 PM, was the day that Barry Allen, simple Midwestern police scientist, was struck by lightning, thrown against a bunch of super-electrified chemicals, and transformed into The Fastest Man Alive...The Flash!

Note: The Super DC Calendar 1976 placed this event (minus the time) on October 23rd. This, like the comic reference above, is a Pre-Crisis date. Considering that: A. The comic came later.

B. The calendar creators may not have read the earlier comic

C. The calendar could only fit one thing per day and might have swapped dates even if they did know.

I prefer to go with this date.

something about this exposition.. like is hal telling the truth here, does everyone in the DC universe for real have "male-ness" and "female-ness" inherent to their souls? is this just an explanation of genderfluidity to a little girl who probs wouldn't super understand the intricacies of gender, or is this hal's egg-cope a la "every man thinks about being a girl all the time that's just normal lol" so many questionss...
