I will say that sometimes Illustrator sucks when exporting into jpgs. Which do you like better to represent Rye, the tanuki? I will work on Anna, the frost fox, later this week.

This is Rye, the tankui. It was a drawing first for Inktober called Plump, but I didn't like how it turned out, so I did it again in Adobe Illustrator.
This is where I fell off in inktober. The paperwork needed to be done and the events I had to help in. BUT, I got a chance to draw my closest friend from the chibi to a more human-like appearance. She is a frost fox instead of a fire fox. Love the textures in Clip Studio Paint.
Originally, it was going to be a tattoo, but it didn't come out the way I envisioned it. I still like though. Very cute and deer is my spirit animal.
I made a monster to represent my anxiety that worms its way in to eating comfort food to deal with. A vicious cycle indeed
The theme was angel, but it was a bit hard to think of anything. I went through my sketchbook to find a body I was practicing dynamic poses, so I used that and worked in Clip Studio Paint.
I did not want to draw a dagger, so I thought about sayings with the word in them and remembered "staring daggers" at someone. so...SYMBOLISM!
This was nice to do 2 point perspective. It was relaxing compared to teaching my students how to do it, but they were like wtf when I showed them this.
Personally, this one is my favorite, because of the mystical aspect from my mother's side of the family being from Louisiana and that hair like this creates a connection to the spirit world. Just a fun concept to draw at the time. Also, had to use my ink brushes for the hair. I drew so many!
A lot of people that I show my sketchbook to love this particular drawing that I FINALLY inked for inktober cause she is a SPICY lady.
A few of these are old drawing from 2022, but I did finally ink them, so it won't rub off later at least.
I have this daruma on my shelf that I made in my pottery class in college. I use it for my incense and to keep my little wooden dolls company, so I used that as a reference.
This took so much time and I wanted to show this to my friend before her birthday, but I did it. I'll show a glimpse of my workspace when creating the assets in Illustrator later.
I love researching this bounce mushroom which is actually a sea coral.
I like the theme of poison. I almost could think of anything for it.
Tanuki
So flipping cute~
