       ezra was utterly lost in thought, wandering around the campus trying to find a good spot to sit and read, lay out his notebook and scribble in it. finally seeing a nice, secluded area under a tree, he was on his way over when he ran headfirst into someone who seemed to be in a big rush. he watched her coffee spill on the ground and her notebook in another direction, reaching for the book, ezra handed it to her and nodded, “i’m alright, no worries. i should’ve been looking while i walked. are you… are you okay?” he asked with a small smile on his face.

     “ thank god it’s just you. ” adelaine said quietly --- more to herself than to the other. a weird fear the blonde had was getting yelled at by someone she didn’t know. and surely bumping into someone on the wrong day would earn her a stern look and backlash. addy let out a laugh while taking the girls hand & lifting herseld up. “ thanks .. i’m okay. it’s just been a long day. ” she looked down at her watch. “ even though it’s still only morning. i feel like it should be 7pm. ”

     eyes widen & her head nods. it was most definitely that time of the year. “ it’s just a little scrape, it’ll be okay. ” reassured adelaine with a small smile. though, the smallest wounds did hurt the most. she could feel the warmth surrounding her knee. it wasn’t a comfortable feeling. she felt bad for making him late ; the blonde stood and watched as he took out a first aid kit. “ smart of you to keep that in your bag. ” giggle. “ patrick was my favourite character. so i think it’s fitting that i get him on a bandaid. ” she took the bandaid in her hand and knelt down, placing her books on the ground before applying the bandaid to her wound. “ thank you for takin’ care of me. ” adelaine rose to her feet and smiled. “ hey uh . . . what’s your name? ”

      she quickly got up and dusted herself off. falling onto pavement was never fun. the blonde glanced down to see a decent sized scrape on her knee before letting out a sigh. “ i’m okay. and i’m glad you are too, ” adelaine managed to force a smile. “ oh -- thank you, ” the girl said quietly as she took her books. “ it’s been a ... hectic few days to say the least. ” she wondered if she looked as bad as she felt. “ sorry, again. i didn’t even see you coming. i hope you aren’t late to anything because of me. ”

    it was a habit that adelaine did --- something she often times didn’t even realize she was doing. she clicked the top of her pen against the desk. addy rose her eyes to look at the other before cringing her teeth together. “ sorry -- i didn’t even realize i was doing it. ” she placed the pen in her pencil case. “ there  . . now i can’t do it. ” adelaine pressed her lips together. her gazed lowered to caroline’s notes. “ what are you working on? ”

“Samuel had just gotten up out of his seat and grabbed his backpack and text books from the class. He saw a person walk in front of him. He sped up his pace and tapped the person on the shoulder. “I know this sounds weird, and we haven’t met yet. But i was wondering if you wanted to study together?
