We need to start discussing solutions more often, by only proposing a problem we're solely unproductively distorting the society.
Coffee place Iâve stumbled upon

Sexuality in the Islamic world.
According to a research carried out by PornMD, six out of top 10 countries on the planet that watch the most porn are Muslim states. The data was delivered byGoogle on basis of the search queries that originated from various countries.
Here is a list of top 10 countries that stood above all in the race of watching porn online.
1. Pakistan 2. Egypt 3. Vietnam 4. Iran 5. Morocco 6. India 7. Saudi Arabia 8. Turkey 9. Philippines 10. Poland
Among the above listed countries, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are Muslim countries. Ironically, all of the listed Muslim states are known for their controversial internet censorship laws. For example, in Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan, you cannot access more than half a million adult websites.Â
The fact that Muslim countries dominate the list for pornography searches is alarming in itself, but when you add in the data for the child, animal and homosexual sex searches, it paints quite a clear picture of the state of the Islamic world. That being said, I think the root of this problem is that religious dominated countries, especially Islamic ones, sex is viewed as a taboo and is often not addressed within the average Muslim household. Even the slightest scene of sexually related actions such as kissing on T.V (your average Hollywood movie) is considered shameful leading many families to change the channel, by doing so they spark an interest in the young children whom are watching. Â
That in my own opinion what lead to these shocking numbers, where something so casual and natural such as sex is viewed as a taboo and shameful, so that it forces people and especially teenagers to question it and start discovering it from different aspects and in an unhealthy manner.Â

The feminist approach II (Gender roles)
Before you start, if you havenât read my previous blog âThe feminist approachâ please go and read it first, then come back here and continue reading.Â
So, in the last blog Iâve covered the attachments and definition of feminism âat least in my perspective and understandingâ. But now I want to talk about something that is always attached to feminism which is gender roles.
Gender roles by definition are cultural and personal. They determine how males and females should think, speak, dress, and interact within the context of society. Learning plays a role in this process of shaping gender roles. These gender sachems are deeply embedded cognitive frameworks regarding what defines masculine and feminine.
Many young girls and boys hear the words âyou hit like a girlâ or âyou run like a girlâ. Let that sink in for a moment, what we are basically saying to young boys and girls across the land is that âgirls/womenâ are inferior to men; therefore you should be like the man. I mean what you think will happen to a young girl or a boy growing up, like puberty isnât enough stress to handle. Both genders will grow self-conscious and insecure and that will affect both of them in the long-term.
I know Iâve only proposed the problem, now you ask where the answer is. You might also be wondering what I can do to get involved or change what is happening. Well, all I can say is this; Society tells us what to do, and we are the society, the rest is up to you.
The feminist approach.
The moment when someone attaches you to a philosophy or a movement, they assign all the baggage and all the rest of the philosophy that goes with it to you, and when you want to have a conversation they will assert that they already know everything important there is to know about you because of that association.
For me defining feminism was a very important thing to do before deciding whether to support it or not, you see feminism doesnât have a fixed/agreed upon definition, itâs basically a range of movements and ideologies that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve equal political, economic, cultural, personal, and social rights for âwomenâ. This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment.
Many people assert a lot of things to this definition, many ideologies and many movements that has nothing to do with equality for both genders. Feminism for me is equality for both genders. Movements such as âstop violence against womenâ are sexiest and ignorant; it should be âstop violenceâ. Taking into consideration that 40% of domestic violence are male victims. And many social experiments have been conducted about this issue, where people will only interfere in a public fight if the male is abusing the women, and not interfere when the women is abusing the male.
This is only the introduction to my next blog (the feminist approach II). That will revolve around gender roles and the effect it has on many young boys and girls, and the complications it has.
Love and loneliness.
What is love? Itâs a legit question asked by millions daily, and the answer is quite simple right? One must look into himself first to define love according to his/her perspective. But what if we went one step deeper? And lay down these facts:Â
Youâll never find the right person, such a creature doesn't exist. (Perfect smile, symmetrical face, top physical shape, silky hair ...etc.).Â
Youâll not be understood, Human beings are complex creatures. We have an on-going thoughts running throughout our minds constantly. We donât quite understand ourselves sometimes, yet we assume another human being can understand us?Â
Thereâs something wrong with you, and so with everyone else.Â
After accepting the facts one must come up with this conclusion, the idea of âLoveâ distracts us from an existential loneliness. Meaning? Well, we are all alone, regardless of your beliefs (whether religious or not). Yes, some say we are all connected but that got nothing to do with being alone.Â
Now, letâs pretend we donât know any of this and continue to go on with our lives seeking someone to accompany us into our adventures in life itself. Also to distract us from asking questions that weâll never know the answer to. (At least while we are alive that is).Â

Dreams of Aristotle.
Dreams by definition are successions of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep.
Perhaps one of the most overlooked writings of our time on dreams comes from the ancient philosopher, Aristotle.Â
Simply entitled "On Dreams" by Aristotle, viewed sensory perception in dreams as a mode of qualitative change. Our senses are initially affected or aroused in the dream and will continue to be affected until there is something to disrupt the initial presentations. To explain it further, Aristotle gives the example of looking at the sun and looking away, after looking away, we still see bright spots in our vision containing the outline of the sun.Â
Furthermore,â he says that the sensory continuum is greatest during times when the person observes a fast moving object such as a river. The thoughts Aristotle gives of perceptions in real life appear evident in dreams, as well. We know about the similar perceptions in dreams because of the many testimonials that people give today about the manner that they experienced everything in the dream.Â
To sum things up, our dreams are simply reliant on our perception of whatâs going on around us. Therefore, it implies that humans with similar dreams (falling, drowning, blood, flying ... etc.) have similar perception, or at least a common ground.Â

Mirrors of empathy.
A Mirror neuron is a neuron that fires both when an animal acts and when the animal observes the same action performed by another animal. these [mirror] neurons are involved in empathy for pain. If I really and truly empathize with your pain, I need to experience it myself. Thatâs what the mirror neurons are doing, it allows me to empathize with your painâsaying, in effect, that person is experiencing the same agony and excruciating pain as you would if somebody were to poke you with a needle directly. Thatâs the basis of all empathy.
That being said, we can all agree that despite religious and other believes Mirror neuron evolved throughout time, due to evolution we as human beings have the ability to care and empathizes for one another and that itself enabled us to survive in the early uprisings of the humankind. Back in the day where human beings had to survive in the nature against other predators, we realized that sticking together and caring for each other will give us a better chance of survival and therefore we adapted and started building settlements/villages/towns âŚetc.Â
Make no mistake that weâre the only species that were able to adapt through empathy, another example of this is Dogs and Wolves. Dogs and wolves share a common ancestor, just like us humans and apes. But some of the wolves realized being friendly to human beings instead of attacking them will assure them food and shelter from the humans, without having a hard time chasing after food.Â
So there you have it! Our empathy came from Evolution and the âsurvival of the fittestâ mentality. Make sure you comment, and share your opinion and feedback. Â
