Game Night (2018)
"You're not going to know what's real and what's fake"
Who's up for a board game? If the answer is negative, this movie will change your mind. I'm not talking about the usual. Get ready for weekly meetings and games with friends, just like Max and Annie (did you see what I did there?). Having spent many evenings with friends playing board games they are ready for something more adventurous and exciting. Brooks, Max's brother, will be the cause, because he will put the group in a mystery game, full of murders, villains and agents. Making them wonder "What's true and what's a lie?"
An adventure comedy ideal for a pleasant evening at home, breaking away from various cliché comedies quite a bit. This movie will not change your life, nor will it make you think deep thoughts, but not all times are the same. The lead duo Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams is as much fun as the rest of the cast of the movie, with my personal favorite being the weird police neighbor Jesse Plemons. A fun movie reminiscent in style of "The Hangover" and "Horrible Bosses" in a darker version. Most importantly, the movie knows what it has to offer and will make you have a good time. And who knows it might roast you to arrange nights like this with your friends.
Could it become your next guilty pleasure?
