I have absolutelly no doubt that qifrey will NOT end this story becoming a tree permanently. It just wouldnt make sense for a manga thats so much about hope and trying to make lifes better with magic for him to have an end like this. You know what would make a lot more sense to the themes of the story? If he survives, Coco is able to free him from his curse... But they never find a way to get his vision back. He is blind, in this society a terrible fate for a witch, but its only now that he is finally free to feel completely at peace and let all his guards down. Finally feel trully happy. And continuing to be a teacher will be a struggle, if he cant see what his aprentices are drawing but thats just another chalange they'll find a way to overcome with magic! In a manga that is so sensible about disabilities i think that would be a fitting end for his character.

Weird place to talk about this but in the second episode of The Apprentice series 20, it's so funny to see the instant alliance formed between Priyesh and Dan in the board room. Priyesh gave Dan an opportunity to team up against the other two and in a rare show of intelligence on the apprentice they both locked in immediately.

Literally last week I was complaining about how two of them never decide to ally against the third and it's always a three-way Mexican standoff of pointing fingers and then days later they give me what I was asking for.

I have done math to figure out Robert Robertson III's real age, as the developers have apparently said that he is not in fact 26 and it was just a tiktok trend. We are not accounting for which month their birthdays are in because I am not that smart and 1 year is an acceptable margin of error to me.

Exhibit A - Chase's age

Chase tells us he is actually 39 when prompted in early game, and in the flashback at the beginning of chapter 7 we are told it is 2003. When he asks what you want from the store, if you say beer he is unimpressed and tells you he is 20. So if he is 20 in 2003, then him being 39 in current game puts the year at 2022.

Exhibit B - Raiders

Young Chase comforts Little Robert who is feeling bad for crying by telling him that he cried for days when the raiders left "When he was his age". The Raiders left L.A in 1994, and simple math tells us that if Chase was 20 in 2003 then he was born around 1983. So in 1994 he would have been 11. So Robert is 11 in 2003.

Final math

If Robert is 11 in 2003, and the game is set in 2022 then at the time of the game he is 30.

Which still has the implication of him becoming Mecha Man at 15 which is still fucked.

TLDR; Robert is 30 according to clues throughout the game.
