It’s a jungle out there, but hang in there, you will find your way out of these woods 💙 With the very publicly discussed departure of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain back to back, more than ever, I believe in eliminating all stigma AND universal access to mental healthcare. No more am I ashamed or afraid to share, I have struggled with depression for a long time. The only way I’ve been able to put this music, creative output, love for those around me is to care for it like I would care for a wound. It can be healed. Depression is like the common cold of the head, most of us have experienced it. If it’s socially acceptable to get a flu shot or see the doc for a cold, why shouldn’t it be acceptable to openly discuss the importance of having someone care for your mental well being. Why should there be stigma around seeking mental healthcare? Making pads and bass on this beauty again! Working on a piece called “Pulchritude of loss” (no, it’s not a sad song, it finds humour in loss. How does one incorporate the word “Pulchritude” in song? You’re about to find out 👑). This gorgeous-ness is the Korg @korgofficial MS-20, and it’s not a reissue! One of my favourite Euphorbias is the Ammak for its gorgeous green/white/yellow variegation and soft red thorns, sometimes confused for the cousin Ghost Euphorbia. It’s actually a ‘vulnerable’ threatened conservation classified species, native to Saudi Arabia and Yemen. In my experience they love San Francisco weather, but need a lot of southern light exposure.
