FIRST OF ALL - this bird is demonstrating that the spikes are ineffective at stopping birds from doing bird things. They must either pay to replace ineffective bird spikes that will just be removed again, or find another way to keep birds off the ledge.

SECONDLY - direct action works. If people keep unscrewing those stupid anti-skateboard grinding bumps off of rails and shit, eventually authorities will either give up on it or double down and be forced to use more costly measures like live security surveillance. The purpose of the bump thingies is to prevent damage so if you can dmeonstrate that it is more expensive to stop the skateboarders than it would be to occasionally replace the things they are grinding on, things should change.

welcome to the most nonsensical comparison I’ve ever heard. Not only does it completely miss the point - the fact that what a student wears is irrelevant because teachers are expected and required to maintain a professional, non-sexual attitude towards them, and victim blaming for sexual misconduct with students is as gross as the misconduct itself - but then they go on to imply that students should dress every day as if they were at a job interview. Apparently the ideal highschool has 14 year olds wearing suit jackets and ties every day, because surely that would solve the problem of adults in positions of power taking advantage of them sexually.

At school, the teacher’s job is to teach, the student’s job is to learn. A more apt comparison would be justifying Sharia law requiring women to wear the hijab because men can’t stop themselves from raping a woman if their hair and faces are visible - they aren’t responsible for their actions because the woman dressed improperly. And I guarantee you that the type of person who makes this argument defending pedophile teachers also hates Muslims and will cite Sharia law as a reason that Islamic culture is “worse” than theirs. For *some reason* this contradiction escapes their tiny brains.
