Starscream in Transformers Prime is a very expressive character. Here are my observations about each of his reoccurring wing positions and what they mean.

I love these examples! Also, when he’s angry or trying to order someone around or threaten them, he will flare his wings up higher and wider, quickly if he’s trying to be forceful, or slowly if he’s seething mad:

Starscream’s wings will flutter sometimes too. I dunno what it means but it’s interesting.

Fluttering means he’s happy. In this scene he’s telling Shockwave about when he killed Cliffjumper. He’s also trying to ingratiate himself, so it could also be a “didn’t I do a great job? ” flutter.
