All her life she has been begging her mother to tell her who her father is and every time she shuts her down. Uncle Jesse won’t tell her. Uncle Aaron, her mom’s cousins, her friends... Either this is the biggest town-wide secret of the century, or her mom didn’t even tell the people closest to her. What could really be so terrible about her father?
Ronnie has always wanted to know her dad, but due to recent circumstances (ie. the baby she’s carrying), she has found herself becoming obsessed. Her biggest fear? What if her own child’s father is actually related to her? She needs to know the truth.
So how did Ronnie Vandervort find herself walking in her mother’s footsteps? Well, when her cousin Eddie Vandervort asked her for a favour, she never imagined this was where she would end up. It was only supposed to be a distraction. Get ___ Huntzberger away from Angel for a little while so Eddie could get some alone time with her. It shouldn’t have been difficult and... well, it wasn’t.

No. No, this isn’t so much a party as it is a... high end fundraiser. They’re actually one of the more fun events of the Upper East Side and Mrs Hunter’s one of the hosts so... [ shrugs ] I mean she’s good at these things.

“Alex.” Of all the people who could have found him- were allowed to find him- he let out a sigh of relief because it was her. In all honesty Nate was already a considerable way down the decanter of whiskey. Scotch. Maybe it was gin? They weren’t sitting in the best of lighting which was probably for the best considering the fact his cheeks were still damp and his eye still bruising. “Did your dad get arrested too? Because, no offence, that’s kinda my thing right now and I won’t accept you just parading in here to steal my thunder. I’m just sayin’,” he grinned over at Alex but it quickly faded. Instead, he offered what was left of the alcohol to her, “Drink?”
“I wish.” Alex almost smiled at the idea of her father getting arrested, but it would probably be more satisfying if it was her uncle. “Don’t worry, that particular brand of drama is reserved entirely for you; at least for tonight. Emmeline really stepped it up when you left, so there’s gonna be a hell of a lot to talk about tomorrow.” When he held out the alcohol, Alex stared at it, wanting nothing more than to down what was left in one go, but she shook her head. “I think I’ve had enough.” She should probably tell him. It’s not like he won’t know by tomorrow, but she wanted to savour this moment-- being with someone who didn’t see her as ‘the pregnant girl’. “You okay?”
