Here’s the thing I love about this scene.  No really, I absolutely love the fact that Derek believes Stiles, absolutely 100% no questions asked.  He believed him.  And Blake, with all her virgin!sacrifice!seduction powers couldn’t influence Derek, couldn’t make him believe her. 

And damn, NOW I understand why she had such a hard on in not wanting to go anywhere without Derek.  Because she knew if she let him spend more time with Stiles, her control over him would be completely over.

And damn, it makes complete sense why she knocked Derek out.  She was problably counting on him being completely out of it until she came back for him.

But the thing is with Stiles, he’s able to undo her magical influence over Derek. And we see proof of that at least three times in this episode.

And that’s amazing in and of itself, because it proves to me just how special Stiles is, and how special his relationship to Derek is.  It proves to me that Stiles *is* the spark, that he *is* the Hale pack emmissary.

And as a Sterek shipper, you could even go as far as to consider it one of those ‘true love’ breaking the evil spell deals…

Derek gasped wetly into his chest, fingers curled around the phone. He leaned against the wall of the loft, one arm wrapped around his stomach. He was pretty sure Stiles was still in class. Or maybe at lacrosse practice. Derek didn’t remember from one moment to the next; before his loft door had been kicked open and the hunters had come in.

Normally, Derek would have been a lot more on his guard. He hadn’t started relaxing until… well, until Stiles, really. Normally, he wouldn’t have let himself get so lost in the silence. The pages of his book. Lounging on the couch and waiting until Stiles and the betas came back from school.

Derek couldn’t remember a time when he’d been so relaxed. Turns out, that was his downfall.

First, but since you're doing AVSS is it too much to ask if we can get the first two sentences of the days? :)

AVSS isn’t even what I’m working on atm. I know, is anyone even shocked anymore that I’m done with that and already working on the next thing? Because I’m not (and neither is @fairydustedtheory tbh)

But since you asked for AVSS specifically....

Stiles hadn’t technically been invited to the annual Hale Bonfire and BBQ. But Scotty was going to be there, and if the Hale family didn’t know by now that Stiles and Scott were totally a package deal, then Stiles was just going to have to use this very moment to enlighten them.

DAY 1, 3:56 PM Stiles Stilinski was possibly the worst choice for a camping buddy.  Not that Derek’d had much of a choice. 

Merry Derek Day: Happy birthday Derek: No.

It was the third movie in their annual rom com movie marathon that finally gave Stiles the perfect idea on how to woo the incredible Derek Hale. While Clueless and Mean Girls had been extremely enjoyable, just like they usually were, they didn’t really help with the whole wooing thing.

Stiles was still more than a little bit fuzzy from the spell, dropping to his knees and immediately feeling the mud soak through his jeans. Casting that spell had taken a surprising amount of power, and he was positively drained by it.

Stiles was so over this overtime. He was pretty sure he hadn’t seen anything other than the studio and his apartment for weeks now.

Summer was coming to an end. The days were already getting shorter, though the temperature was making a solid, convincing argument that summer didn’t actually have to be over just yet.
