hey guys if anyone would like to help with my overdue utility bill, i really would appreciate it. if i can just raise $50 for my bill it will at least cancel out the late payment fee at the end of next month, which adds another $50 for every month it goes unpaid in full. i became chronically ill from my last job as a medical assistant. i need time to heal and don’t know when i can get back to work again and i need help.

Please help me recover from Chronic Illness/Natural Disasters/Moving costs

hi! i'm peter and i finally had the chance to move out of south Georgia to get to a blue state!

it has not been an easy few months. in the past year, a hurricane hit during which a branch broke the window directly above my bed and covered me in shattered glass while i was trying to sleep. the hurricane also knocked out our power for a full week and we weren’t able to use our water due to a boiling water advisory leaving shower and tap water toxic while we slept in 85°+ heat. less than 2 months after that, i was caught in a flash flood while driving and my car was completely totaled.

after planning the move i finally was able to resign from my job at the beginning of September. this is the first time i've stopped working full time in the past 8 years. while working in the medical field since 2023, i was getting sick extremely frequently and eventually ended up having mono and working through the infection. i have been fatigued to the point of exhaustion for months now and after getting bloodwork done again, i now have chronic active EBV which means my bloodwork was virtually unchanged and the length of the fatigue and is uncertain.

from September 2024 - June 2025 i lost 55+ lbs and have still not been able to gain weight since. sometimes i feel like i am literally losing all my strength.

i'm so thankful to have moved out of the horrible situation i was in but i still have debt to pay off and a lot to heal from. almost a quarter of every paycheck i received went to my health insurance plan and i still owe hundreds of dollars for appointments and testing. my primary care emphasized how important it is for me to be able to rest and recover and now i finally have that chance. i know i need to get back to work but i am hoping to get enough money to pay off all medical debts, bills and possibly have enough to support myself for 1 month while i try to piece myself back together and try to create my new life in Connecticut.
