The residents of minnesota are showing admirable strength and kindness. I am glad their efforts are being reported on far and wide.

But I think this is a generated image.

Cars blur together, and appear in blocky pieces in the middle of the crowd. The buildings in the upper left corner don't make any sense. Nor do most of their reflections. The perspective is off, the centre trees are blurry and strange, & the lettering on many of the signs either has wrong perspective or is downright nonsense.

Minnesota is mobilising on a genuinely incredible scale. We should still be awestruck. Just not by this image.

This is not AI-generated and EXTREMELY easy to verify. If you take the time to investigate the source, you could find that Kathy Wurzer is a journalist for MN local news network MPR, which would not necessarily eliminate suspicion (especially since Wurzer herself does not provide a source for her photo, unclear if she took it herself) but should drastically reduce it. You could also just look for other reporting on this event, which if it's not AI-generated as suspected could be presumed to be well documented. I searched "Minneapolis downtown march" and one NBC article (of many) is enough to eliminate any reasonable doubt via video footage and another photo of the crowd wherein the details are consistent with the above photo.

Alex was recording, which was well within his right, and was shielding other people from pepper spray. He was trying to help. You'll hear people blame him for having a gun, which he had a permit to carry and the only time it was out of the holster was when ICE took it before shooting him. You'll see people claim he shot at officers, but that is a blatant lie.

people love to say "your cat is just being cuddly because it's cold out and he likes the warmth" like that detracts from it somehow. this weird little creature lives in my home and his paws and the tip of his nose are cold and his solution to this is to go to the big weird hairless ape who feeds him, and curl up on its stomach and fall asleep there bc it's nice and warm. that too is love!!!!

A lot of people seem to mix up ‘community’ with ‘friend group’ so when they read ‘no one should be abandoned by the community. No matter what they did’ they think it means ‘you have to be friends with abusers’. When in reality it means ‘no matter what someone does they shouldnt be left to go homeless and be denied financial, housing, medical, etc aid’

You don’t have to be friends with these people, no one is saying that. It’s just saying that you should support rehabilitative justice, support programs that help homeless people, support funding for free medical services, and make sure they don’t turn away anyone who needs help.
