يَا عَبْدِيْ، أَنْتَ تُرِيْدُ وَأَنَا أُرِيْدُ، وَلَا يَكُوْنُ إلَّا مَا أُرِيْدُ، فَإِنْ سَلَّمْتَ لِيْ مَا أُرِيْدُ أَعْطَيْتُكَ مَا تُرِيْدُ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تُسَلِّمْ لِيْ مَا أُرِيْدُ أَتْعَبْتُكَ فِيْمَا تُرِيْدُ، وَلَا يَكُوْنُ إلَّا مَا أُرِيْدُ
“O My servant! You desire something and I desire something, but only what I desire occurs. If you submit yourself to My desire i.e. obey Him, I will grant you your desire. If you do not submit yourself to Me (by disobeying Him), I will tire you in what you desire and (at the end of the day) only what I wish happens and occurs.”
Ibaadat se hi jannat milata hai, khidamat se Khuda milata hai.
Jannah is attained through worship and Allah is attained through service.
العلم نور للصدور و حياة للقلوب
Our environment has a direct effect on our Iman.
Our needs should not make us negligent of our purpose in life. We should strive to fulfill our purpose and Allah will see to our needs.
وَ مَا خَلَقٔتُ الْجِنَّ وَ الْاِنْسَ اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنِ
"And I have only created man and jinn to worship Me" (Surah al-Dhaariyaat, Aayah 56)

المؤمن دائمًا في حاجةٍ إلى طلبِ الاستعانة من ربّه.
A believer is always in need of seeking assistance from his Lord.
We feel entitled to take rest from doing Allah's work yet He never tires from sustaining us with everything He has granted us. May Allah forgive us.
Gratitude to Allah is displayed by tiring ourselves in His obedience and everything that is pleasing to Him for His sake.
Dunya is the place of work. Jannah is the place of rest.
Sidq (truthfulness) means that our actions is private are the same as our actions in public.
We have not mastered the quality of sidq if this is not found.
Eg. We go out of our way to be kind to strangers or friends whilst neglecting the rights of parents, spouses or siblings by treating them poorly or excluding them from life events.
All acts of goodness begin at home.
وَ ما تَوْفِيْقِيْ اِلَّا بِاللهِ
Allah says, "I am in accordance with My servant's thoughts." (Bukhari) If our hopes and words regarding Allah are positive, the results will be positive.
The environments that we allow ourselves to be in is as important as the company we keep.
Water flows from high to low. If I do not lower myself, I will not receive.
When we make Du'aa, we should ask Allah for the ability to include Him in all our plans. We have the habit of doing things and only want to include Allah when things go wrong. We need to include Allah in the beginning so that He can facilitate the process in order for there to be Barakah in the outcome. We plan, but Allah decides.
