Not to be obvious but… I can’t believe not more people are into Raffles. So relatable. So queer. So rebellious. Sentimental and romantic and frickin hilarious. Like, screw being an actual **respectable** gentleman in Victorian London – be the gentleman with no family money and the secret criminal record of the century and the angelic best friend who’s actually your lover and partner in crime, and live for art and adventure and beautiful things while ignoring every social rule and moral code in the book except your own.

They’re just…. well I’m not gonna go on a Raffles promotion spree again just now, but see the statement above; plus lots and lots of humour and melancholy and mischief and crazy burglary heists on starlit nights, and a pretty darn explicitly (for the time) queer romantic relationship between two best friends and partners who also happens to be incredibly relatable and real and complex characters – on top of all written in amazingly beautiful prose by the lovely E. W. Hornung <333

My father died this morning

I didn't know how to make this post or whether to make it or not, but I think it's the best to let it all out. It was a heart attack, there was nothing we could do. Mom and I took care of everything for the moment.

We will cremate him tomorrow. It still feels like a horrible dream.
