2023 really has been an amazing year for fandom life and movie/tv enjoyers in general. The final seasons of “Never Have I Ever” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” were the perfect closure, the second part of “The Glory” was perfection, the new season of “Total Drama” dropped and it wasn’t awful. “XO, Kitty” straight baited people and it was great. “Celebrity” criticized the influencer culture and that was also great. "Shadow and Bone", The Crows my beloved ones!

“Honor Among Thieves” was the perfect adaptation for Dungeons & Dragons. “Across the Spider-verse” reminded me why I love animation so much. The unique experience that was seeing “Barbie” dressed in pink and in a theater full of women.

August was amazing, with the second season of “Heartstopper”, “Red, White & Royal Blue” and “Blue Beetle”. Two of them are led by Latinos!! And the new season of “Ragnarök”.

October will have “Our Flag Means Death” and “Loki”, released like one day apart. I’ll have “Dune” in November.

December is going to bring me “Percy Jackson & the Olympians”, and word can’t describe how excited I am for this series. Also, Snyder is going to drop his space opera “Rebel Moon”.

I’m pretty sure I left things outside, but in general, what a year!!

Full offense but Ben and Devi would have the absolute best couple's costumes every Halloween.

I like to think that one year they would dress up as each other and it'd be a huge roast-fest. Devi would starch a little patterned shirt in front of Ben and laugh at him the whole time, and Ben would wear the loudest and funkiest colors he could find. ("It's like a unicorn threw up on me," he'd complain, while Devi rolled her eyes and reminded him of the patchwork hoodie he wore in 3x6.)

One year, they would go as the United States and Equatorial Guinea, a throwback to an important day for both of them. Ben, who never does anything halfway, would make an Uncle Sam costume from scratch. Devi would jokingly ask him if he was going to wear an American flag as a cape, and he would say "yes" and rock it just to spite her. (Then she'd ask if he wanted a gun, and he'd decline that but say that if she kept picking on him, he'd nerf her. Spoiler alert: Devi wins the Nerf war and jokes about having nuked him.) Devi, for her part, dresses as the Equatorial Guinea flag with a little blue triangle on her shirt and everything. The tree in the center of the flag is on her hat.

Another year, they simply wear that "our get along shirt" tee. Trent gives it to them because they're arguing, and Ben thinks it's hilarious. They bicker the entire night, but by the end of it they're kissing inside the shirt and forgot to even take it off because they were so absorbed in each other.

I just finished never have i ever and might have teared up a little bit because as messy as she is devi might be one of my favorite characters ever i loved watching her grow up through the seasons and i would love to see continue to do so and navigate through college in a spinoff

honestly love the parallel of gina and nini having these massive opportunities and seeing how ricky responded to it but most importantly how they respond to ricky’s support.

with nini she didn’t like how ricky was so clingy to the relationship and didn’t like that he would ever entertain the idea that she would stay for him. even though ricky was very supportive and all he said was that he wished she could be there with him. as much as they loved each other, they just weren’t compatible.

with gina she wants the complete opposite. she wants ricky to be clingy and love her selfishly (within reason of course). funny enough, gina is actually the perfect recipient of the text he sent nini in season 2 because that’s exactly what she wanted to hear from him. they are so incredibly compatible in the way they love each other and they deserve that type of love so much.

and i think for ricky it was a lesson for him to know that he should never stop being himself in his relationships because the right person would love him the exact same way he loves them. with all his clingy and dorky traits.
