There was a movie called Juno and the songs featured on that movie were compiled into an official soundtrack. This is generally regarded as major historical event from the 2000’s.
My screened in patio is getting rebuilt this week and obviously I can’t use it while the construction is ongoing and it’s really making me realize how much having my nightly sitting outside time is critical for my well being lol
The patio is back in business. Nature is healing
being late getting into a piece of media or joining a ‘dead’ fandom is not that bad actually cause even if it seems like the party is over there will always be people still celebrating and the decoration is still up and there’s a piece of cake reserved especially for you in the fridge you just have to come and enjoy it.
when you start reading again and it's like oh. oh . the sun actually does still shine.
HAVE THAT CHARACTER GAIN WEIGHT AS A SIGN OF HEALING: NOW
I kind of miss the impulsivity that certain spaces used to allow. oh you want a hair cut today? hairdresser in the corner can fit you in before her 2 o’clock. tattoo of a cobra… sure leg or arm? even concerts, back when you could go to the box office thirty mins before any show. not saying these things don’t exist at all, but everything feels booked five months in advance and 10x more expensive
I remember when I was a teenager my sister asked if I wanted to go to fall out boy on a whim an hour before, I bought tickets for 45$ a pop for the lawn, and sat down as paramore took the stage to open. I know nostalgia blurs memories but some (a lot of) things were legit just better even just ten years ago
Yeah… I’m really prone to overthinking/overplanning things and I know it comes from a place of anxiety so I’m trying to work on it and be a more spontaneous ~go with the flow~ type of person but it’s so hard when so much stuff is like “sorry you need a reservation and you need to download three different apps and show five different QR codes for your ticket and parking and access to the venue”
Im Gaining my mind. Im going Sane #positivity
one of the funniest conversations I ever had with my ex was when they were still getting used to Celsius and asked me "what's 20 degrees?" and instead of converting it, I said "it's the highest your dad will ever let you set the thermostat and when you say you're cold he tells you to put on another sweater, we're not made of money" and they went "oh, 68"
the fact that this reference was that fucking precise was something they went on to tell people about for years.
