        A smirk graced the woman’s lips upon seeing a rather familiar visage. Of course, she remembered her time in the underworld, and that face is one of the faces he won’t ever forget. ❝What is the god of Death doing out of the Underworld?❞

           "His work, most likely," he gave her a small smile. He was travelling across the land to take lives of those whose time had already passed and leaving a bloody trail behind his feet. "Besides, there is little fun in the Underworld."

Thanatos Has Tasted the Agiel's Sting

        The man had been caught in the forest, wandering about seemingly without a course in mind, When Richard’s men had attempted to approach him, he’d slit their throats without cause. It was only because Zed was amongst their ranks that he’d been apprehended, bound by magic and forced to slumber. 

        She entered the dungeon, looking upon the bound figure with intrigued. It was not often that Richard’s soldiers were bested so easily, and she was more than a bit curious what manner of man it was that could do so. 

        He began to come to, and she watched as his eyes opened slowly, blinking past the haze before focusing on her. A grin spread on her lips, and her head tilted to the side. 

        “You know, those men are supposed to be some of the finest in the land. I wonder how it is you defeated them so easily.”

        “Tell me traveler, who are you and from what lands did you come?”

           Waking up with a dull pain in his head, he opened his eyes slowly only to see a completely unfamiliar face of a serious-looking woman. He waited until his eyes adjusted to the relative darkness that was held whatever place he was locked at and he took a slow look around, feeling nothing but numbness. He did not recognize anything that was in the room and it took him a while to realize that he had been captured and now was locked down in a dungeon. He could not say he was shocked, for it was not the first time of his existence to experience such a thing. However, it felt more than unpleasant.

           His eyes stopped at the figure before him and without answering her question, he studied her face carefully, slowly moving his tired dark eyes. If she had not been one of those who had captured him, he might note she was beautiful. But now he felt only scorn and hatred.

          Thanatos' lips formed into an amused smirk. "In that case, your land has some shit warriors," he laughed, giving her a daring, bold look. He remembered the scene before he was caught, and all the blood he had spilled brought warmth to his heart again and he was ready to regain any mental strenght that was left inside of him. The chains meant nothing, he was way more powerful than any of those who held him there.

         "And why exactly would I do that? I confess to no one."

"My God, my tourniquet. Return to me salvation. Do you remember me? Lost for so long…" The Song came so easy to Marceline as she sang aloud, not afraid of who would hear her voice. No, that was her full intention. She wanted people to listen to her and fall under a trance as they were consumed by her lullaby. But she still allowed them free will. They hovered for awhile before carrying on about her day. That was until someone stopped directly in front of the Siren. Her grey eyes drifted up, lips twitching up in a smirk. "Can I help you?"

             "What a sweet voice you have. What a pity that I hold no favour for songs of any of your kind," he mused softly as he stepped closer to her, his eyes travelling across her face, quietly studying her. He remained silent for a moment, gloomy expression on his face as his serious dark eyes stopped and joined in a sight with hers. The truth was, that it actually was her song that brought him there, merely out of curiosity. As he was hovering across the land, his senses grew brighter at hearing her, and not recognizing the voice, he had to see for himself.

            "What is your name?" he asked, ignoring her question.

        He could barely raise his hand to the doorbell. His bloodstained fingers pressed against the button, his hand falling down helplessly afterwards. He listened to the ringing, the sound echoing in his head, cutting through like blades. The pain was unbearable, so he had to unwillingly lean towards the door, indifferent if he was going to collapse the moment she opened. The crimson blood was pouring out of his chest wound and with silent swears, he waited for her, hopeful.

It occurred to the angel that he didn’t recognize her. Might be for the best…she thought. Then again, it had been a while since she’d seen any of the other death-dealing entities around. Centuries or more…so she didn’t entirely blame him for believing he to be a stranger. “You may have been invisible, but that doesn’t mean I couldn’t sense you,” Azrael explained with a bit of a cryptic smile and a tilt of her head. “But I’m going to assume there’s someone under the cape. Care to reveal yourself?” she posed.

             Hesitating for a moment, his eyes flashed around to see that the street was empty, only the two often standing underneath the mild light. Putting his hands on the cape, he let the cloth fall and revealed his pale face with strong, yet cold features. Letting his eyes rest on her face for a moment, he opened his mouth to speak: "Behold," he smirked lightly. But yet a worried look came across his face, leaving him in a short moment of wonder. "Should I know you, my supernatural friend?" he mused. There was no doubt she was from his world, as no mortal ever could resonate with such energy and powers.

"Really?" She questioned him, tilting her head.The word dysfunctional didn’t offend Persephone as much as it could have since the spring goddess did think her relationship with Demeter was somewhat dysfunctional. They had their issues and problems, and all of sudden, their fight lead to their first extended separation on Earth. Well, more like Demeter giving her daughter the space she wanted but without a word or any contact. "Well, um, I told Demeter I wanted space from her to have my time on my own and to see other people. She was really upset and took great offense to my words even though I’ve been leaving subtle hints throughout the years. I was much more blunt and to the point about the way I felt this time around. So she basically left me and hasn’t talked to me since. I didn’t want to make her mad, but we do need the time apart. I just hope this isn’t permanent."

            "Folly," he noted between her words, interrupting her slightly with a silent sigh of disapproval. He shook his head at hearing the story, once again surprised how even the gods may act more human-like than those who were mortals. Tilting his head, he gave her a short look which might have resembled of slight scorn and disbelief, and began to speak with a slow voice: "So if I understand this correctly, she is not seeing you because you told her that you don't want to be seeing her so often." He spoke with a small smile on his face, letting out a short, silent snort.

           "I strongly object," he spoke with a small rise of his eyebrows. His voice was confident and cold, for he truly believed in his own strenght, despite what the other god might say. "Who but the gods should be strong, then?" he mused.

        It had not been a mortal man, as she has thought at first. It had been an immortal like herself. The Chthonic god, Thanatos. Death himself. Her chin raised defiantly, storm blue eyes glowing in the dark of the night, watching the blood seep from the wound. Magnificent.

        She’d always thought he was appealing, his face one she found to her liking. Yet how he was now, stained with his own blood, eyes glaring at her own, a deadly intent in them, he was more than that. Gorgeous, she thought, a smirk playing at her lips.

        Perhaps she would play with him another time. More extensively. See him stained red with his own blood, writhing, struggling. She wet her lips at the very thought. Delicious.

        She stood before him, her eyes piercing into him, looking him over in satisfaction. Attacking Death had not been her intention, but she had to admit it was an interesting turn of events. If the look in his eyes was anything to go by, he was already plotting his revenge. Curiosity flooded her, wondering what constituted getting even to the other. Perhaps she’d even allow him to succeed, just to satisfy her intrigue.

        Her smile when his threat was issued was wild and dangerous, the gleam in her eye challenging. “I’d like to see you try,” she chuckled, stepping closer to him, “love.”  She continued to step toward him, only stopping when she was right before him. Her hand reached out, a finger dipping into the stream of blood staining his front. It came back, coated in his blood, and she raised it to her lips, taking it in her mouth, tasting his blood. Exquisite.

        Her arm fell back to her side, fingers tracing lightly over the hilt of one of her blades, tucked into her belt. Her eyes shone with mirth and contest.

                                     “My blades are always sharp.”

           "You will have the opportunity, I can grant you that," he let out a small sigh of pain, though his words already melted into a playful tone, as he became more interested in the situation than in his own suffering. He straightened his back and looked into her eyes which were glowing underneath the shining stars, set like diamonds on the night sky.

           At the touch of her hand, he had to bite on his lip with a small grunt. It burned. He watched her lick her finger, all covered in his own blood. There were not many things that would make one feel the desire to taste blood of the opponent more than watching them doing the same thing. He felt strong urge to attack her right away, not to await any more thoughtful vengeance, but he held himself back, letting the anger settle in his heart and make his eyes glow furiously.

            "As are mine, Enyo," he said with a smooth voice. "The only difference, then, is how skilled is the hand to wield the blade." A smile crept onto his face. There were many things he was bitterly realistic about, but his skills of combat were not the case. He believed to be the master of blade, no matter if used to torture or to slay. His soft fingers always knew how to find a perfect place to come to the most satisfying of wounds, and he did take a lot of pride on it.

           What were his intention with this goddess he did not know. There were not many times they had met before, and the thought of her rarely occured to him. But at this moment, he could not help but feel somewhat magnetized towards the hand that hurt him.

           He almost stopped bleeding, but his robe was all covered in crimson. He looked down at his dark clothes and smirked. "I would never think that I will be soaked in blood that is not of my enemies or victims."

Azrael felt the presence and paused mid-step on the sidewalk. She wasn’t particularly worried about this person, but all the same, she remained alert, turning in the direction of where the being stood. “Well…this is a bit of a surprise,” she called, tilting her head a bit and crossing her arms over her chest. “Would be a better reunion if I could actually see where you were,” the angel added.

          He stepped out of the dark, revealing his face which was now formed into an arrogant smirk. He narrowed his eyes at seeing her, letting out a small chuckle that sounded off more like a grunt, as his head was still covered in a dark cape that revealed only a pair of black eyes. "I am charmed. Wandering around in invisible disguise and yet being so kindly asked to reveal myself to a stranger." That was no human, was the first thing he thought of as his eyes travelled across her face.
