Got inspired, so I'm gonna change my username. It's been fun being a dark lord, but I'm gonna embrace being an anomaly. Or should I say... an anoLUMI?
Get it?
I'll see myself out.
someone is happier because you exist
Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is rude.
It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't bother to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.
It's rude.
don't cry because it's over. attack. attack everything around you. do spin attacks
it would be so awesome
it would be so cool
edit: idk if edits show up like this on posts but like. i have an educational reblog on this post. and. it is linked in the comments for easy finding. also added tags for filtering because this is my first containment breach i kinda half assed the tags when i posted this. i might add more if i see others add tags that make sense or if yall ask.
Cicada sketches by Vincent van Gogh.
Found in Vincent van Gogh, Letters from Provence (French edition).
I remember one time I got INSANELY high off of edibles while playing Among Us, and it quickly became apparent to the other players online. I forget how honestly but literally anything "sus" I did was ignored by everyone because I was so fucking high. I tested this theory by standing in front of a body and the person that actually reported it didn't even mention me. The funniest part was when I was trying to do wires, I kept fucking up over and over again, so I was just standing in front of wires for actual minutes trying to figure it out. A small crowd of players gathered around me to watch and would get mad every time someone reported a body or emergency meeting because "she's never going to get her tasks done if you keep interrupting them." I don't think anyone cared about winning at that point, they just wanted to see the high crew mate succeed in her tasks.
THIS IS 1000% ACCURATE LMFAO. Thank you op
Ohhhh yeah
since yttd is like a billion years old in the waiting it's easy to guess that people who are still active in the tags, as either posters or reblogers are 1) either insane about a character (like me) or 2) are insane about the game (also me). So I think people will relate that when you have like a niche piece of media like that change your life completely and infect you're thoughts, but apart from a select group of people NOBODY KNOWS what it is, is truly an experience I do not wish on my worse enemy.
Also I had a big question that I've been wondering how big is the yttd fandom actually I have guesses but because 1) we are dispersed and 2) the fandom is in semi hibernation, it's hard to guess how big we are actually are we a small game community or a niche one you know?
im someone big into like more "mainstream content" and i would say yttd is in this grey area because it is popular in the mystery vn community, and the indie rpg maker community but outside of that its niche, so i would say its small because some other games i know of that really are niche are like niche niche like the fandom is you and three russians guys. Im not on other social media apps other than tumblr, but from my knowledge even when the fanbase was at its prime it was still well small.
i think games like fear and hunger are like niche you know, while yttd is small, but again this is all super subjective, since whenever 3-2 releases we will see sudden apparitions of like thousand of peeps we never heard about like every game ever
I mean... I'm under the impression that the YTTD fandom is comfortably small. Like I love the game and I know some irls who do too, but the fandom doesn't seem to be massive like Undertale's. Everyone might not know everyone, but we do kinda know a good chunk of each other, if that made any sense.
Fun fact: due to the ongoing financial support from the people of tumblr, critically endangered pygmy raccoons being rehabbed in Cozumel are now able to get vaccines for deadly diseases like distemper and rabies before they are released.
Yeah so tumblr has actually raised thousands of dollars for direct conservation actions to conserve the critically endangered pygmy raccoon. Some things funded include:
Necropsies
Veterinary care and lab tests for sick animals
Food for animals in rehab
Gas money to go rescue animals in trouble after hours when my partner doesn’t have access to the work van
A small plot of land to start building outdoor rehab enclosures on and potentially house long term residents
Vaccines
Tracking collars and other telemetry supplies
Lumi is editing my sprites AND my story, so that means things are going to be a bit different around these parts.
I'm still the same old Simon, though. I still like coffee and The Year of Julian and Nerds with Knives. My memories are just a little different now.
Don't worry, my brain should sort itself out soon... I hope...
You have no idea how surreal it is to edit nearly two-year-old assets. It's insane how much my art has changed in such a short period of time...
Anyway, please talk to my son!
