My fics

So, it's come to my attention that, as a writer (although I'm very humble about that, I'm no Shakespeare), I ought to share what I've written with you all.

In case someone is ever interested in what I come up with, here are some of my most recent babies.

Also, I should warn you: while I love writing canon characters as well, I'm mostly known for including OCs in my fandoms. It's what I'm good at. ;)

Just heard of the passing of Anthony Head. I’m……..speechless.

Not only was he Giles, the most charming librarian of my childhood and teenage years, he also was the Uther that I loathed for five years straight, and the West Ham manager everyone was happy to see lose a game of darts.

I can’t really process this.

A great actor has left the world. I’m so sad for his daughters, who have been orphaned in the span of six months…… 💔

chris is hanging out with buck while theo chases eddie around the backyard when chris asks why theo doesn’t call buck Dad.

“he has a dad,” buck tells him. “and a mom. just because they’re gone doesn’t mean i’m trying to replace them.”

chris considers that for a moment and says. “you’re his buck.”

“yeah,” buck agrees. chris tries to ignore the jealousy curdling in his chest.

“like you’re my buck.” he says, trying to sound casual.

“sort of,” buck hedges.

“oh.” chris nods. “because he’s actually your son and i’m…”

“i’m his guardian,” buck says. “you have your dad, so i’ve been able to be your friend. i can’t be his friend like that.”

and. chris wasn’t expecting that. he nods, only sort of understanding.

“i have to parent him, discipline him, make him brush his teeth every day,” buck continues, voice soft. “someone else will have to spoil him, go with him to the zoo, eat too much candy with him.” buck looks intently at chris, mouth crooked in a half smile.

“me?” chris whispers.

“who else?” buck replies. “you and your dad—i hope you’ll be theo’s best friend when i have to be his parent. i want you to be his buck.”

chris nods, throat tight. his dad is in the grass now, theo clambering on top of him in victory. the kid is all sunshine and relentless energy, like buck, and the jealousy in chris’ chest softens into recognition. “okay,” he says, glancing back at buck. “but if he makes a run for it at the zoo, it’s on you.”

buck grins and pulls chris into a hug—the lingering kind chris hasn’t allowed since he entered high school. chris doesn’t pull away.

“deal,” buck says with a bright smile. “besides, it’s your dad’s job to catch theo if he runs. eddie’s the fastest runner, after all.”

In retrospect I should have clocked that I was demisexual FAAAAAAR EARLIER than five years ago because every time someone on my screen has one night stands or sleeps with a person they clearly have no feelings for, I have this itch under my skin and this need to scream.

Yeah.

Good for Buck, but damn. You’re cheating on your man, babe.

So many things happened to me in 2025…

Many were good: I finally saw Snow Patrol live (it had been on my bucket list forever); I FINALLY became a home-owner as I was able to buy my house from my landlords; and I started working somewhere I’m finally happy, with two amazing colleagues who challenge me and push me to do more of what I love.

It was good. It was happy.

And then, 2025 decided to take my Dad. And I know many people have not had the best of fathers, but mine was. The best Dad, not perfect, but perfect for me.

A Dad who took my queerness in stride and shopped in men’s aisles with me whenever I wanted to buy more masculine clothes (« Oh that shirt would look nice on you darling, come and see »). A Dad who taught me how to work in the home, how to drill, how to repair some minor electrical things, how to measure things precisely, how to change tyres (« Because you don’t need a man to do that, you’re strong enough »)… A Dad who loved to joke, to prank, to let me share what I love with him and Mum.

I had the best Dad. And I miss him every day.

His passing took my inspiration to write away, but it’s been gradually coming back. I hope 2026 is the year I can FINALLY finish one of the many original stories I’ve started and never put a period on.

I wish you all a wonderful year to come. And to be has proud as I am of the accomplishments all of us achieve even in the darkest of times. ❤️

Am I the only one who hates when people take a gay or lesbian ship and make it straight by genderbending it? Like, either genderbend them both or leave them alone. It’s just not necessary to only do it to one and a little homophobic.
