I still do not understand the people who say voting doesn’t matter…why else would there be a concerted effort to gerrymander and redistrict and purge voter rolls and create draconian ID laws? (Mostly targeting black voters and majority black districts)

Isn’t it kind of insulting to the people who fight for an actual democracy, to the places in the world without free and fair elections, to the people (particularly black, native, and disabled people) who are regularly purposefully excluded from voting, to just say it doesn’t matter? How the fuck do you view your own inaction as some type of moral high ground? How did we get from “the Democratic Party has major issues in regards to corporate donors and neoliberalism” to “both parties are equally bad”

I am not playing this game with you. It does make a difference who is in power. It does make a difference who draws election maps, who sits on the courts, who decides funding, who enforces laws (and what laws they do or do not enforce).

it’s so magical and beautiful that there are sprawling interconnected cave systems carved deep into the earth by various geological forces and you don’t have to go in them. there are miles and miles of stone passageways in total darkness that require you to exhale all the air out of your lungs to squeeze through parts of them and you don’t have to be there. some of these squeezes are underwater and require cave divers to take off their oxygen tanks and push them through ahead of them and me i am above ground looking at the sky as we speak. there are untold subterranean wonders no human has ever seen and i will not be the one to discover them #grateful #blessed

I put way too much effort into this for someone who can’t draw. Did some tweaks to the designs I posted last night, the biggest one being I redid Aelia’s face. Characters, in order: Esofi, Adale, Orsina, Aelia, Vitaliya, Ioanna I’m not great at capturing my ideas visually so don’t take this as like, the be-all, end-all guide to how they look. This is just me messing around with a free drawing app on my tablet and zero guidance. I mostly just did this to relax since I’m so stressed out about the new release.

I think the funniest part of this is that they weren't just raw concrete. They were pretty much entirely clad in aluminium. So even if we were to accept that a concrete facade makes a building brutalist, the twin towers still wouldn't be brutalist.
