I feel like I gain more of my answers through your silence As I watch your lips curl up with nothing to say It makes me wonder what you ever really thought of me in the first place For a person to grow they must learn within them the angels and demons they carry Yet the day mine came out I've never seen your run so fast Fed up with the haunting Greeting regret like an old friend I was broken And you just got tired of picking up the pieces The cuts on your fingers were too deep for you Yet I feel like I only know you on the surface Three years later and I only know your surface I bet you didn't know that the day you stood in front of my car the same way my mothers abuser did hers you ripped a gapping hole right through me Or the nights I was forced to stay in rooms when all I wanted was to disappear yet you couldn't move your feet The nights the light within you had grown into massive black holes Trying to consume and manipulate the situation Yet somehow you forgot you had some demons too No one saw the side of you that still sits in the back of my mind One that made feel so alive and dead at the same time I let you have it And on days when only god knows what took over me My vile words meant to pierce your ear drum with knives My actions that followed were selfish and cruel Yet I picked up both of our pieces those nights By day time to you, they never happened Never to be brought up So it ate at my insides Finally I took what I needed I made time my new best friend Went on my own finding my power within Seeing your perspective from the new places I had been With your reflection a mirror in every corner I raced until my heart could no more Just as I had reached the brink of what I thought was where I needed to be Time started telling another story My demons have been faced Light has been found in every corner of my shadows Love is here and it ready to restore all that the darkness had broken As the pieces of my old self have ran from my new existence One thing has become coherently clear You just got tired of picking up the pieces -av

Honestly I'm thankful for myself. I'm thankful that I've gotten to the point where I love each and every little detail about myself. I'm thankful that I pulled myself out of a place where I didn't even know who I was. Where the person looking back at me was ugly and fat and all these horrible things. I'm thankful that I started talking nice to myself, that I started telling myself nice things and appreciating myself. I started eating the food that I needed to so that my body could be healthy. I started changing my mindset so that it would do the same. I'm thankful that I learn from the lessons that I go through. I'm thankful for me.

I've been working on this pose for a year and still see so many imperfections. What a great reminder of the journey. Great motivation to keep practicing until this pose is where I want it. My inner awareness is growing. "As above so below, as within so without", and so is my exterior. Where are you on your journey today?

citrine

one of my favorites, and the best for manifesting. it's also another great one for imagination, and will power. need to get stuff done, or make things happen? this is your go to. metaphysically it stimulates the chakras (energy systems in the body) and clears the mind preparing it for action. instead of taking in and accumulating negative energy, citrine actually transmutes it, and grounds it. because it does not take in any negative energy, it is also the only crystal that does not need to be cleansed.

clear quartz

the first time i can remember feeling a crystal's energy, it was my quartz. i was sitting down with it in my hand, closed fist. i felt the crystal "pulsating (for better lack of word) in my hand. the magic was showing itself to me. i could feel the vibration in my hand. clear quartz is also known as the perfect gem. metaphysically this is the crystal considered the supreme gift to mother earth. (i am a virgo with a taurus moon, I NEEDED THIS) healers today and healers previous have actually believed this stone to be alive, taking a breath every hundred of years or so. when meditating, wearing, even owning this crystal, people experience an openness to the Spirit. it allows our minds and heart to be open to higher guidance.

amethyst

amethyst was one of the first crystals i remember myself being drawn too. as my journey has progressed, i know why! historically, amethyst is known for its prevention in drunkenness and overindulgence. it derives from the greek word ametusthos, meaning "non-intoxicated." i personally am drawn to this crystal for its spiritual and metaphysical purposes, as this is the crystal that is said to provide a connection to the divine. aids the mind in meditation, clearing negative thoughts. known for its ability to help still the mind. it strengthens imagination and enhances intuition. it has been recommended to me by a psychic and energy healer as a protector of my aura, and energy. allowing my metaphysical self to let go of any attachments and negativity.

Crystals

the history of crystals dates back farther than I think some of us tend to realize. it dates back thousands of years. for instance, the first use of them dates back to sumerian times. ancient egyptians, ancient greeks, even ancient chinese have used crystals in their day to day lives. they have also been helpful in many religious aspects as well. even mentioned throughout many religious texts. if we think about the fact that everything is energy, crystals are energy at its purest form. when we think of everything as a vibration, and realize that everything is vibrating around us, we can then see crystals are vibrating at higher frequencies. we have learned that even so much as holding a crystal can actually raise your vibration, or frequency as well, by exchanging energy. "meditating" on them in a sense. the way that crystals are structured can be thought of as basic chemistry, as it forms specific geometric patters, with specific molecular structures. we can see that they vibrate higher because when looking at their molecular structures, we see that the molecules are moving around really fast! each one emitting a different , therefore being able to help in different ways depending on the crystal. here are some crystals i have personally worked with and a little bit of information about them.
