I did okay majoring in Political Science and American Government in undergrad though. I graduated summa cum laude so I figure I must have learned something?

Law school also went alright I guess? I did somehow manage to get an article about the constitutionality and modification of excessive force laws through out the 50 states placed in a national publication. And I also managed to pass the Bar Exam. 

But yeah it’s totally possible I failed 9th grade social studies tbh. I was a little shit when I was 15 and gave no fucks.

trump administration just proposed monitering disabled peoples social media accounts to decide if theyre having too much fun. they will use any pictures where you look just a little too happy to strip you of disability benefits. i wish i was joking but google it for yourself if you dont believe me.

the most depressing part of this is it fundamentally misunderstands how disability manifests. someone who can’t stand up 12 hours a day can go on a 20 minute walk and take a happy picture.

if the bill should pass this 20 minute walk with a commemorative picture could lose you your livlihood.

our government in the usa are straight up trying to say disabled people should never be happy or engage with the workd around us.

when i was depressed those “reasons not to kill yourself” lists never helped.. maybe they do for some people but for me they actually made me feel worse. it was like….here’s a reminder that there are all these things other people find joy in that you can’t. with a sprinkle of guilt because “your family/friends will miss you.”

what i needed to hear, and so what i’ll tell any of you reading this who are in the same situation, was: a lot of people recover from mental illness and go on to live full lives. it’s quite likely that with treatment, a time will come when you won’t want to die anymore and you’ll find joy in everyday life. yes, you. stay alive for that possibility.
