Boonta Brawler Thayla

More Star Wars inspired stuff! Because I do not get nearly enough stuff based around of my favourite multimedia franchises. So here’s Thayla in one of my favourite outfit set’s from Star Wars Outlaws, which is ironic considering the gameplay effect it grants you when wearing it doesn’t actually match my style of gameplay in this game but still love how it looks anyway and thought it would fit my girl, the Boonta Brawler outfit set. An outfit I bet Thayla is glad is what she got for reaching max reputation with the Hutt Cartel over being forced into one of there usual slave dancer looks. And then probaply eventually vored by a Rancor or Sarlac lol.

There’s a lot of reason why the Boonta Brawler set is one of my favourites in this game. The Mandalorian chest piece for one thing which of course I was going to be drawn to given I already love how the Mandalorian’s look anyway. If my previous Star Wars themed pics I’ve gotten being tied to Mandalorian characters didn’t give that away lol. Not to mention that part of the outfit reminded me a little of Sabine’s armour from Star Wars Rebels. But also, because with how the outfit looks as a whole it did make me think of my Half Genie OC a little given her main look is already a brown jacket anyway. There’s a reason why, when not doing the main story, I was mentally roleplaying as Thayla, something that’s not to uncommon for me to do with some games with my characters. Plus, Thayla’s already an outlaw anyway so getting her dressed in something from this game made sense.

A game which, and this is no doubt going to be a hot take but when is any opinion on anything Star Wars related nowadays not considered hot lol, was honestly just alright. I mean there ARE actual issues with the game, especially the whole “Buy our overpriced Season Pass just to get access to one single bonus mission” shit, how if you brought the game physically for PS5, Series X or Switch you still needed an internet connection to instal the rest of the game ignoring the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Last of Us Part 2 got around that issue by having multiple disks for installing and how if you brought the game on PC though Steam like I did, because it’s a Ubisoft published game, it expects you to log into your Ubisoft Connect account just to play this SINGLE PLAYER GAME on top of your Steam account (which sadly isn’t just a Ubsioft thing, Rockstar games does this two) did but the actual gameplay itself was pretty fun, the way faction reputation works also was great, the game looked good visually and overall I’d say I had a much more enjoyable time with it than a negative one.

Now I wanna say this. DO NOT support Qwel. DO NOT support Dandy’s World; hell, do not even play the game! Because if you do, you’re financially supporting Qwel! I never played the game myself but I’m glad I didn’t. I’m not gonna go over what happened because 1. That’s not my place and 2. You can look it up yourself. But it’s one thing to be a criminal. It’s another to send a cease and desist to the victims speaking out and then give a half ass apology while simultaneously promoting the game. Like lady…wtaf? But people are reclaiming the characters so I decided to swing my shot. I might change her name in the future but Soulvester and Gourdy also seem promising. Idk yet

Im even helping my friend redesign some of the characters to repurpose as OCs. Better than supporting the game I guess. But my heart goes out to the survivors. And as for Qwel, well…idk what to say to you but it’s time to pay the piper

Your Hypno Idol

How has no one done a KPop Demon Hunters based Hypno Shades pic yet? Seriously, KPop Demon Hunters is a movie about a trio of Koren Pop Stars who secretly moonlight as demon slayers, the plot of the movie involves them fighting agents a demon boy band and during the climax two of the three girls end up getting hypnotized. Meanwhile Splatoon features the Squid Sisters who are pop idols that you learn halfway though playing Splatoon 1’s campaign are actually secret agents fighting a war agents the Octarians who’s leader is also a DJ and hypnotizes one of the girls in Splatoon 2 using this very gear.

I cannot think of a more perfect pic based of this coincidence, so I’m kinda surprised I haven’t seen any art of any of the Huntri/X girls with the Hypno Shades, especially considering how popular KPop Demon Hunters got after its initial release and still is even after a year. And for good reason two because it’s a genuinely amazing movie and probaply one of Sony Animation’s bests outside of the Spider-Verse films. Well, the Hypno Shadless void has been filled as I’ve decided to use my Patron Reward for this month from AngelicMoonStone to get just that! Specifically, Zoey because she is one of the two who does get hypnotized in the film but also because I like her a lot… Okay well I like ALL three members of Huntri/X but Zoey was just the one that stuck out to me the most on my first watch of this film. And also, because I head cannon she’s a compeative Splatoon player on the side lol. Not to mention between her, Rumi and Mira, Zoey is the one who has the personality closest to Callie’s in Splatoon so my decision to get her Hypno Shaded was also based in that. It’s also because of that fact that I’m convinced she is the one who would enjoy being hypnotized via the hypno shades the most heh.

Or, if your me, imagining the scenario for this is that a new rival band has popped up and is using the Hypno shades to both deal with the competition and maybe even get some collabs done and this band is using Splatoon as inspiration for it’s hypno gear. And also imagining that pic I got of Mayday from No Straight Road’s hypno shaded was because of that same band lol. Or Verosika Mayday decided to come back to the surface world and this is her way of creating a new band. Actually, a KPop Demon Hunters X Helluva Boss crossover would also work now that I think about it heh.
