actually the thing that really gets me is how many people believe "hitting children makes them better" but secretly. do you believe that bad things need to happen to children or they'll end up wrong somehow? do you believe that humans need to be disciplined or they'll never learn important life lessons? do you believe that "strife" or "torture" or whatever produces better art and that people who only have good things happen to them will thus only produce bad art? do you believe that maybe it's not good but children will never listen if there aren't "consequences"?

you know when you were a kid and disney channel type shows and cartoons used to always feature at least one episode where a trio is torn apart because "you can only have ONE best friend and it's ME 😡" and it makes no sense at all because you can clearly see all three of them are best friends so it's just sad to see them fight
