Lighting Programmer for Much Ado About Nothing

I am also doing a lighting showcase where I get to program and design a light show to a song of my choice

My friend and I were just talking about how crazy my ex girlfriend was.

Mainly because we were talking about how Junior year my ex, her boyfriend and friend almost ran my friend over with her car. And it wasn’t that she didn’t see us NO!

It was a 2 lane road and we were crossing to get to the football field for marching band practice. I had made it to the side walk and my friend still in the street and there was no signs of stopping (she actually sped up) and I had to pull my friend out of the road because she froze like deer in head lights.

We just were like “wtf….oh well better get to football field so we aren’t late for marching band” we were so un-phased.

We didn’t really process what happened until this year lol

We make jokes about it now. Something to add to our lore

First day of Pride Month and a guy was flirting with me at the beach.

So basically my friends and I are at the beach for a whole week. We got there on May 31st and we went to the beach on June 1st. My group is a big group of girls and we have another group of guys, half of them are dating the girls in my group. So we get to the beach we are hanging out and I dig a really big hole and 2 of the guys help me. We had to stop because we got yelled at by the life guard. But before filling it in I wanted a photo inside of the hole (which was like almost 5 ft. deep (I’m 5’3). So I hop in and the guys hop in after me and the one guy is a little closer but I brush it off as “oh not a lot of room” cool whatever. We start building a sand castle me and that one guy and we are talking in such and idk I thought he was just being friendly because I’m a lesbian and I can’t pick up on guys flirting with me for the life of me. Then after he left I started thinking about it. My friend comes over to be after he left and was like “girl you good he was totally hitting on you” and I’m like OKAY SO IM NOT CRAZY! My friends think it’s funny because this isn’t the first time a guy was flirting with me and I thought he was just being friendly and my friends later had to explain “not everyone knows you are lesbian and guys think you are cute”

Anyways how do I come across as someone who likes women?

Does anyone having book recommendations that is like The Princess Bride but with lesbians?

I need more lesbian love story in my life that in a fantasy setting but the plot is not them just being queer and that them being queer is a normalized thing and the plot is something completely different and separate from their sexuality like not even remotely related.

Okay I could be reading to deep into this but I love analyzing books so here we go. I think Viola’s affinity can also be a queer allegory to her character. It is no secret that Viola is a lesbian though it is not said directly we know this by her actions and reading her point of view. Now what is her affinity? Her affinity is seen by her family as something disgusting and shameful because they only see the negative side of it and they turned that into a weapon. They use her and her affinity for nothing but violence ignoring the whole other side of her affinity that can heal and mend wounds. This to me is the symbolism of how many people see being queer and a lesbian as something shameful and disgusting and ignoring the part that someone found love and acceptance. Finding love in this crazy world not just for someone else but also for oneself. I love Viola’s story and character arc because it is about her learning to accept her self between her affinity and sexuality.

I need to see a Last Magician: Short Stories where it Esta telling Viola or Jianyu certain things about the future and them just having complete culture shocks

Esta: yeah so we call it same-sex marriage and it is when two women or two men can get married

Viola: Stai mentendo are you serious? That will happen? And it will be acceptable?!

Esta: for the most part yes.

Example:

Esta: (trying to explain the lighting side of the entertainment industry) It’s really interesting and hard to explain but in the future they have these machines that produce light and can make different color lights and different shapes

Jianyu: Now wouldn’t that be a sight to see. I still don’t really understand but the future sounds very colorful

Towards the end of the last song of the Ithaca Saga “Would You Fall In Love With Me Again” right before the “I’m just a man” motif Penelope’s “Forrr” sounded it like “ohhhh oh oh Odysseus” from “Different Beasts” in the Thunder Saga. Idk that was a little thing I picked up and I loved it
