Jonathan Mattingly, Myles Cosgrove, Brett Hankinson.
Enough with using Breonna's name as a trend. Enough with a tiktok song that doesn't help.
Stop saying "arrest the killers of Breonna Taylor" and start saying "arrest JONATHAN MATTINGLY, MYLES COSGROVE, AND BRETT HANKINSON."
You need to do better for Black women. You need to do better for Black lives.

they don't care. not a single bit.
when we say acab, this is what we mean. did every cop kill this man or any other poc? no. but did all of them fight for this man to bring this situation to justice? did any of them speak out about this situation, or against these cops? at the very least, do they all hold the bad ones accountable? NO. you can't justify a system that was created as slave patrol. and until this system is abolished and one is created to serve ALL PEOPLE of any color, any gender, any disability or handicap, ACAB.
cross stitch is just pixel art on fabric, reblog if you’re not a coward

"real rednecks aren't racist! real punks can't be bigots! real (insert x social group) can't-"
Reminder that this is a cop hating blog. This blog is for cop haters only. If you don’t hate cops, block me and go lick boots somewhere else!
Big Warning
If you see a police car or a cop with a speaker looking thing on it, FUCKING RUN. It's known as an LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device), a device that, when activated, can permanently damage your hearing and cause serious harm. If you're too close, you'll be left in a lot of pain and squirming on the ground permanently deaf. Ear plugs do not work. Unless you have one of those shooting range headphones, you do not stand a chance against them. Again, if you see them pull up, RUN. This is what they look like.
Stay safe.
Run perpendicular to its direction, not parallel.
Run out of the way of where it's facing.
it’s kind of established that there is no “get out of a beatdown” role you can take other than being a cop yourself, right? media, medics, lawyers, all fair game.
Turns out that cops are just dudes who really like beating the shit out of defenceless people. There’s really no other qualification.
For those who hate lawyers I do want to point out that legal observers are sent by the National Lawyer’s Guild, which is the primary organization providing pro-bono legal defense to protesters and black community leaders who have been jailed to try to derail the movement. So, these are not the lawyers you hate.
Just to reiterate: the entire point of NLG legal observers is to deter unlawful or improper behavior on the part of the police / law enforcement personnel–and to document such behavior, if they aren’t successful in deterring it. In the U.S., they have to be trained and certified. Their job is to help you protest to the full extent of your constitutional rights and with minimal interaction with the criminal justice system. I cannot stress the extent to which they are on your side.
The National Lawyer’s Guild’s motto is “human rights over property interests” and was created as a direct fuck you to conservative and exclusionary bar associations. Their dues are way cheaper than other bar associations and you can join even as a jailhouse lawyer (a prisoner who teaches themselves the law to advocate for others).
And just because this is literally my job: your negative perception of lawyers is literally propaganda. The portrayal of defense attorneys as evil for defending criminals, the idea that suing people is something only rich or very greedy people do, the complete erasure of legal aid as a thing that exists, are all designed to make you afraid to advocate for your legal rights.
^ ^ ^
Who was it that taught us that the defense attorney - a person whose job is to ensure justice is done - is immoral and untrustworthy? Who taught us to hate lawyers - the people who know the law? Why do we believe that justice begins and ends with unregulated enforcers who are not required to know the law?
This picture is from a protest that happened in The Bronx which had the largest police presence than any other protests going on in the city. The police arrested about 1000 ppl that night, including medics. They then kept moving those arrested precinct to precinct and lied to the lawyers about their whereabouts basically forcing them into a wild goose chase.
Police also turned off their radios that night, which protesters listen to to stay safe and aware of what the police plan to do. Turns out a politician from The Bronx snitched to cops about this protest. This was an attack on The Bronx.
Easily shareable, cross-postable graphic that I found
[image description: a gradient of red to orange with white text over it. the text says, "stop setting up water and medic stations that can be targeted by police and start mobilising them.
distributers with supplies for these stations: put bottles of water, extra masks, and basic first aid kits in drawstring bags or backpacks to give to protesters who don't have supplies.
medics must be mobile and as covert as possible. move in groups. never be alone." /end id]
if you want a super, super simple break down of what abolishing the police means, listen to today’s 20 minute episode of vox’s today, explained (transcript here); they interview two black police abolitionists whom explain in very simple terms why abolishing the police doesn’t actually mean chaos and disorder.
if you are sick of seeing blm posts, i hate to break it to you, but you need to ask yourself why. if you 'just want this to be over with', you need to ask yourself why. i'm not here to tell you what i think of you, i'm simply saying if you want this world to be a better place for everyone, you need to take part in the collapse and transformation, which always starts with you. this is never gonna be over. it never has been. it's been happening for hundreds of years. it's time we take our power back, it's time people of color can use their power freely. question your thoughts, change them, listen.
remember that police brutality won’t end with the ballot box in november. it won’t stop just because a democrat is in office. ferguson happened while obama was president. standing rock happened while obama was president. he deployed the national guard for these. his response was just as severe to these communities as trump’s; he just wasn’t so public about it. police brutality and systemic racism are not political problems but SYSTEMIC problems. this means that the system causes it, not the president, governor, senator, congressman, or city council. if you want this to end, you have to go beyond right or left wing, and dismantle the entire system. if you think this is going to end in november, you’re sorely mistaken; they’ll just get better at hiding it.
