"remus is really clingy and physically affectionate with his partners because xe just like being close to people" yes yes delicious but pretty base knowledge
"janus is really clingy and physically affectionate with her partners because he's cold blooded and likes the warmth" ooooo okay fun gettinf creative with The Snake
"logan is really clingy and physically affectionate with its partners because he's terrified of being abandoned" NOW WE'RE TALKING
I take this and i raise you: remus enjoys physical touch with his partners because he thinks people find him repulsive and nobody wants him, so he clings to anyone who chooses to stay.
And also brother issues.
uh uh uh janus top remus switch logan bottom send post
I don’t think that Simon as a character would be a mechanic or a pilot. He continuously chooses not to read the manual and its shown he knows jack about tech with the computer scene and like him piloting the submarine is just him forcing the gear to be at its fastest setting possible. I do think he might be slightly better than grace at piloting perhaps, but by any means he’s not this omg wow gee wiz guy when it comes to being a pilot. The hobbies id give him instead would easily be something like gardening or make him a fan of astronomy his stars were dead id think hed be fascinated by them and while i know a lot of people make him a gardener i feel like people dont expand enough on other hobbies or ideas if youre unsure make something up have him like baking or have him enjoy something he never would have known before make him a movie buff make him into videogames make him like romcoms idk jf id do that but again its your story not mine do what you want
Even making him a gardener feels inaccurate to me a bit. Everyone makes simon a passionate/skilled gardener, and while I can see why, considering Eden's whole deal, I always found it a bit off? He had faith in eden but they also betrayed him. He never joined by choice, his mom made him. I always took him clinging to his pendant less as him clinging onto edens faith as a whole and more so him clinging onto faith in general, or just something familiar. A community he once had. It felt to me like he didn't really care as much about eden actual beliefs outside of their more realistic(in Simon's pov) outlook on what happened. Maybe im just reading the text wrong idk, it just never felt to me like he was a hardcore devot follower in the movie. Maybe he had been in the past , but in canon it seems like he just acknowledges as another oart of his past that he had no real control of. In that same way people who were raised Christian and left still might passively believe in god or the religious teachings, its a part of their background but they're not that devoted to following it entirely.
Also its implied they fed the tree blood and bodies right? Without using water(assuming it was a limited source) I have trouvle believing they ever actually understood proper plant care at all, so why would simon? Idk much to think about. That being said i agree with op, i think him being a gardener is a more accurate assumption of his character then a pilot

I feel we bloodymaries overlook one key detail when depicting the boys and it’s that Simon has the Softest most Wettest eyes in the universe and that needs to be exploited more
Can we talk about how remus is absolutely smarter then he let's on? I love those moments where he has the look. Where you can tell he sees right through someone, knows exactly how they'll react, can sense when someone is a threat, or is being straight up manipulative.
That look.
i love clicking on somebody’s ao3 profile and seeing the most nonsensical collection of fandoms. like yess let's live a thousand lifetimes
"That pairing would never be canon" and what of it? I'm only supposed to ship what the church tells me to or something?
Being critical of your interests is sooooo fun when you have the critic gene & then you sound kind of insane to the average tv watcher when you're like "this is my favorite show, It's Racist" & then you try to clarify what you mean & get that [Speech (legendary) - FAILURE] "the racism is really interesting though"
[Speech (legendary) - SUCCESS] I find the sociopolitical context of pulpy old sci-fi born circa the civil rights movement really fascinating to analyze especially when it was progressive for its time but still reveals the writers' unexamined biases in the subtext
Them: So you're saying its bad and I shouldn't watch it?
Me: I mean depends on your tolerance for this type of racism, but like I said it's my favourite show, it def has some great parts if you're up for it.
Them: Oh so it's not racist.
Me: It absolutely is.
Them: So you're saying racism is ok??
Me: No.
grab somebody nuanced tell em it depends
don’t care didn’t ask + you’ve projected onto this character to the point that your characterisation is unrecognisable to the source material
me (crazy eyes, covered in blood): I NEED to finish writing my fanfic. so I can start writing a different fanfic.
