The above is a video shared by smrchildsadness on Twitter, showing a person participating in a pride parade exchanging a pride flag with a person standing on his (am using his pronoun based on the TikToks/Tweets of what happened) doorway who had a Portuguese flag. There are sounds of cheers and crying and the two people hug each other as they exchange the flags. The man at the doorway then waved kisses to the crowd within the pride parade.

The Tweet says: "NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HE WAS WAVING THE PORTUGUESE FLAG BECAUSE HE DIDN'T HAVE A PRIDE FLAG AND THEY TRADED FLAGS AND HE'S SO EMOTIONAL TO GET HIS OWN PRIDE FLAG I'M EMOTIONALLY RUINED"

For context, apparently they were worried that maybe he's a nationalist because he was waving the Portuguese flag and some nationalists opposing the pride march were waving that flag. But upon interacting with him, it turns out he didn't have have a pride flag and he wanted to wave *a* flag in support of the pride march. So they had an exchange and now he has his own pride flag 😭🥹.

i think there is a statue of grace. on the campus of the university where he got his phd. it's a big base, like the statue atop it is going to be a larger than life hero standing brave. but instead it is him, life size, sitting with his feet dangling off the edge and turned slightly to the side like he is in conversation.

there is room to sit next to him. students like to hop up and sit next to dr. grace to get advice, vent, just take a minute. he's a friend to all on campus

Love that Ryland Grace is the opposite of so many male protagonist "heroes" in media and yet he's still so incredibly brave, resilient, and strong. That flimsy little science teacher saves the day.

But he also,

Throws fits when things don't go his way. Not a "I'm a bad bitch" destroying everything-type fit, but tossing a trash can, breaking a screen-type fit.

Cries. A lot.

Pleads. He begs.

Doesn't answer the call to action.

Shows weakness. Being a coward and being fearful are two things he defines himself with.

Doesn't end up with the girl. In fact, that girl isn't even interested and he isn't, either.

Cherishes friendship over a romantic plot or something stereotypically brave like, "I'm going to save Rocky so I can save his world." No, he wants to save his friend, first and foremost.

Squeaks. He squeals. He screams, loudly and very high pitched. He whines. He complains. He physically struggles to open a jar. He's clumsy as hell. He makes some of the least graceful noises one can make.

Is not afraid to be the primitive species lowkey.

I love him and everything he stands for as a male protagonist. Men need to know that they can be just like Ryland Grace and still be just as much of a hero and a man.

Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass, and Damian all get deaged and it’s a nightmare.

Dick is deaged to a point where he’s Robin with Batman, and luckily he remembers that. Unfortunately, he’s not thrilled by the idea that he gets siblings in the future. Therefore he hates everyone else’s guts.

Jason and Tim aren’t Robin yet and really want to go home to their parents. So Bruce is left with a dilemma of either telling them their parents are dead or letting them think that Bruce Wayne kidnapped them.

While Jason is not happy with that, Tim is awestruck. At this point he does know Bruce’s really identity along with Dicks, so he’s following Dick around like a lost duckling. Like I said, Dick hates Tim and just wants him gone and purposefully hides from Tim to be mean.

Cass. Poor Cass gets accidentally forgotten about in the chaos. She fully trained to blend in and not be seen or heard. She won’t do anything unless given permission, not even move. Bruce tries to get her to play, but she mostly just holds toys or does very basic things with them.

Damian is just a baby, but he’s so so clingy. Which doesn’t mesh well with Dick also being possessive over Bruce. Damian will cry if he is put down and will fuss if he’s in anyone else’s arms other than Bruce’s. This makes dealing with the others extremely hard.

Bruce tries his hardest but he’s so ready for his real kids back 2 days in.

I DON’T CAAAAARE

Batman being abusive to his kids is so fundamentally wrong and makes him a one dimensional character and I personally hate it.

“Oh the dark gritty character is dark and gritty and mean” hey how about the dark gritty character is dark and gritty because he has to be. He’s such a bleeding heart that he can’t let his enemies (and sometimes allies) know how much he loves and cares. He loves so much. He loves his city, he loves his kids. He’s full of so much love yet he can’t express it because he’s never been taught how. And maybe he’s harsh but it’s because he couldn’t imagine what he would do if he lost another kid.

Batman is a hero, not a villain and it’s a disservice to make him behave like one.

I know there's a popular headcanon that Grace's crew died because of feeding tubes malfunction (based on the paperwork Grace was doing right before the explosion), but — in the book he specifically says that even after the accident he kept dealing with that same paperwork on minor Hail Mary issues, so I doubt that feeding tube problem was left unaddressed. May I offer instead:

Grace was put into coma by the people who cared about him. They (especially Yáo being Yáo) probably double-triple-quadruple checked everything. They watched him sleep for those first few days — I doubt they went into coma immediately after leaving Earth's orbit. They probably talked to him, assuring him that he'll be okay.

Ilyukhina's coma procedure was probably supervised by Yáo. He made sure that everything was in order, but — he is just one man and he is not a doctor. There was much more room for mistakes.

When Yáo went to sleep, he was alone. He had to rely on the technology completely.

We know that he died first.
