This is a anti-blankqueer blog bc ive seen a recent influx with those types of blogs. This blog is anti-harassment!! This means unless if its very serious i will not make any “callout” post. Ive also noticed that most “blankqueer” blogs are “accepting of all labels!” When they really are not. ( The labels in question are the lesboy , gaybian, etc ) Coming from a lesboy myself. i mentioned i was upset about the rise of radnormal as a stance in my "anger" post and i realize i do have something to contribute, actually.

i am staunchly anti-radqueer; i was a part of the early anti-radqueer community—when antiradqueer and other blogs were still active—and an archivist, one of the only active ones in the community then. i compiled so many posts explaining alternatives to being radqueer, help resources, why certain things were bad and the origins of some of the most infamous radqueer terms. i've helped victims out of the community. i've been harrassed by radqueers because of my being anti-radqueer (without having personally interacted with any). i've watched someone i love fall back under the control of their abuser because of the radqueer community.

i am also a paraphile. i'm the disgusting, vile, unforgivable paraphile that radnormalism condemns. i am not one of the big three, however, i do experience an attraction that would be harmful if acted on (you don't need to know what). i am this way as a result of trauma—being unable to tie my worth to anything besides what i could do for others and yet desiring some semblance of control at the same time.

and you know something?

the anti-radqueer community used to be much, much more accepting to paraphiles. because the goal was never to eradicate radqueers or push them off the internet entirely or isolate them from everyone else in the world or hate them; the goal was to help victims. we had problems, yes—we used to be so hateful—but we realized we weren't making a change that way. we realized that we weren't helping anyone that way.

do you hate radqueers because they're bad and evil and disgusting and immoral? even the victims who're radqueer because of their abusers? even the children who happen to be paraphiles that're radqueer because they're scared nobody else will accept them? do you hate the not-quite-ex radqueer who's scared to leave the community because what if they're not accepted anywhere else? what about the sexual assault victim who's transraped because they don't feel like their trauma was bad enough? what about them? do you hate them too? do you want them dead? do you want them to be isolated from any community ever? or do you hate radqueers because they're "bad" and you don't have repurcussions for hating them? do you hate radqueers more than you care about victims?

give me a good reason why you hate paraphiles that doesn't generalize all paraphiles (because what about kids who are paraphiles and disgusted by their own attraction? what about sexual assault victims who developed paraphilias as a result? what about plushophiles? how have they hurt anyone because of their paraphilias? we've not even gotten into the fact kinks are oftentimes counted as paraphilias); give me a good reason why you hate transids without saying they're all harmful or appropriation (because transspecies originated as an otherkin term and transabled was a medical diagnosis and transcute isn't hurting anyone); give me a good reason why you hate radqueers that isn't "they're all abusers" or "they're all disgusting" or "they're all bad" (because there are victims who are in the community, there are victims who don't know any better, there are victims who are being hurt by your actions and pushed away from being helped).

this isn't even getting into the fact that, regardless of what you think about radqueers as a whole, you should still fucking treat them like people. you never, ever dehumanize someone—that's fascist shit and you never use fascist tactics. why do so many of you feel like it's okay to treat radqueers like shit? is it because you hate them so much? because you don't see them as people? because you don't think they're deserving of basic decency? because congrats: fascist shit. that's also still pushing away people who might want to leave the community and/or who're actively victims in the community.

let me ask again: do you hate radqueers more than you care about victims?

Secondly i dislike blankqueer labels because they almost all have really gross underlying flaws that mean I, as a queer and mentally ill person, would never actually feel safe.

Almost all of them have ideals that create explicit loopholes for people to harass others (including saying you can harass adults only, or you can harass anyone who you can "prove" deserves it), I have seen several who are against contradictory labels (like lesboys and turigirls) which will ALWAYS isolate intersex people who use those labels EVEN IF you claim that youre okay with intersex people using those labels because you cannot police that. Almost all blankqueer labels are against all those with paraphilic disorders REGARDLESS of if they are offending, recovering, anti contact, pro contact etc etc. A lot of blankqueer labels want to isolate recovering radqueers for a variety of different reasons.

This last one is personal but I am very uncomfortable with thr amount of labels that are applying morals and ethics and the idea of "cleanliness" to being queer and political. It just makes me feel like theyre putting out this message that you can be queer but youre only going to be "one of the good ones" if you fit into this cute little "moral" and "ethical" niche box.

All that (most of) these labels are doing is proving to radqueers that what the radqueer community says about antis is true. That we hate them all and we think they deserve to be beaten, to be killed, to be tortured etc etc etc. That rhetoric does NOT encourage anyone to stop being part of a community that harms them, it WILL and HAS BEEN PROVEN TO push people farther into those mindsets.

TLDR; a lot of these blankqueer labels are NOT harmless and we need to be more critical over how people treat those they disagree with because threatening to harm people or saying they deserve to be harassed is NEVER OKAY.

I think the fact that you assume that everyone who has an issue with radnormal is a radqueer is really strange.

Most of the arguments ive actually seen regarding why people dislike the radnormal tumblr are reasonable. Allow me to list a few I've seen, and actually support

1. The use of a transphobic wojack

I already have an issue with wojacks, they get used constantly to make fun of literal minorities. And from what I have heard they have very antisemitic origins.

2. They are against those with harmful paraphilias regardless of contact stance

This I also agree is very weird. Personally I think if someone is non contact they are working towards recovery.

Offending paraphiles obviously have no place, because that is criminal behaviour. But if theyre non contact, that to me is a step towards recovery. They aren't just going to get over a disorder over night.

Also before anyone says "oh oh but they said on discord!" I literally do not care. I have seen the messages and the way they've spoken about this situation rubs me the wrong way.

3. View certain radqueers as irredeemable

This is directly stated on the radnormal blog. They state that radqueers who have done harm are not redeemable. That they will never be allowed to be part of their movement.

I am friends with ex radqueers who have come forward about what it was like, acknowledging and admitting to the harm they caused. And that no apology will erase what they did.

They have ALSO shared that they were groomed into believing and perpetuating these harmful beliefs. Now, if you think someone who was groomed into performing and believing harmful behaviours is irredeemable you must be applying that logic to ALL victims who were groomed into believing these beliefs across all types of belief.

Radqueer, ableism, homophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, intersexism etc etc. No it won't erase the harm they caused in the past but they are not irredeemable, that is a really weird belief to have.

If someone is admitting to the harm they caused, acknowledging the harm they caused and trying to prevent further harm from/to others then why are they irredeemable because they caused harm in the past?

If any of my friends who are ex rq see this just know you are not iredeemable if you caused harm whilst you were pro/rq

4. Uses wording that seems to contradict in their ideologies

I do somewhat agree. They use wording that indicates they do not care for people harassing radqueers but specifically word out about NOT harassing minors but also believes it is fine to physically assault radqueers.

Not everyone on tumblr shares their age, and not every radqueer shares their true age ESPECAILLY if they have been led to believe they can be transage.

Again i point out victims of grooming. Apply the same logic.

In short this post is me officially saying I dont want anything to do with the radnormal person. The way they talk about people waves red flags for me as someone with stigmatised disorders AND stigmatised trauma. I dont want them or their followers to interact with me. I am not a fucking radqueer, I just dont agree with harassing ANYONE. Because that just pushes them further back into their harmful communities.

Not everyone is irredeemable, the fact that you think people who have caused harm aren't capable of recovering and trying to help prevent others from doing harm or being harmed is WEIRD.

I support all contradictory labels. I support lesboys and girl gays. I support gaybians. I support bi lesbians, bi pans, bi gays, and anything along those lines. i even support male lesbians and female gays. trans man lesbians, trans woman gays, intersex men/women lesbians/gays, all forms of multigenders who are lesbians/gays, and if a cis man wanted to identify as lesbian, honestly I'm at the point where I wouldn't even care. I'd chill with a cis man lesbian any day over people who exclude our fellow queers.

gender and sexuality are fucking weird. labels are also fucking weird. if a label is ultimately helping someone and making them happy in their own skin, as long as no one is being hurt then why should we care. no one's forcing you to date male lesbians, so it shouldn't affect you what they're doing. and no, being lesbian doesn't make them any less of a man.
