Eli and Liv are considered angel babies, 7 years prior Robert and Nolan experienced a stillborn. For context, Nolans powers allow him to phase in shadows, during this he has to make his body transparent so he doesn't "die".

Unfortunately, their first son developed too fast and essentially was born without a heart, he had the body of a glass frog

During this period, Nolan blamed his powers for putting Robert through this pain and he spent a week in his realms, too afraid to look at Robert (I know asshole move) realizing his actions, Nolan broke down at Robert's door, Nolan never saw his little siblings grow up, and realizing he was turning into his old self came back and apologized. It took some time, Robert and Nolan never full healed from the loss of their son but they had eachother

When Robert fell pregnant with the twins, he was petrified on the what if of their children passing away, they didn't even know they were going to have twins until the first checkup, so they were thrilled when they found out they were going to have twins, a boy and a girl :)

Elis powers are like his papa! He's a very quiet baby, cried the most when he was a few months old

Liv got her powers from nolans mom, talking to the departed, she got her powers on her 1st birthday, they activated as she blew her candles out, when she saw the shadow of her older brother

Me when I try to find a Targaryen x reader but EVERYTHING is incest even though authors can literally make it so that its not incest.

I am very tempted to make an entire post dedicated to this subject, breaking it down, its not even funny. Like just because the character is a Targaryen doesn't mean the ship has to be incest ESPECIALLY an 'x reader'! It's so common that it makes me ill. On top of that it excludes people of color from the conversation most of the time because they make them (for example) Alicent and Viserys child. Like just cause its fiction doesn't make it okay. George literary wrote it so that you feel uncomfortable when that shows up. I'm "fine" (i won't engage) with the ones labeled as "dark" cause it kinda? makes sense. However, the ones I want to read is fluff and pure romance like why the hell did you have to make it incestuous?

Just cause you call it "Targcest" doesn't negate the fact that it's still incest. And don't try to tell me it's not that deep because it is. I don't want to have to avoid searching up characters I enjoy because people keep making them incest.

I'm so tired of this of acting like I'm fine when I go on here (or anywhere) for some fics.

now some oc writers are using the “x reader” tag and giving the excuse that “it’s just a different perspective.” it doesn’t matter if you use that tag IF YOU’RE NOT INCLUDING THE READER! YOU have your own tag, leave us alone.

the “x reader” tag exists so that readers of any background, appearance, or identity can immerse themselves in a story and feel included as the main character.

when you write a story centered around your own original character, with a defined name, personality, and often a specific appearance, you’re no longer inviting the reader to step into that role, you’re writing about your character, not the reader. that’s completely fine! writing oc content is valid and has its own space.

but misusing the “x reader” tag to gain visibility or clicks is misleading. it sets the wrong expectations and excludes readers who were looking for stories where they could truly see themselves in the narrative. if your story focuses on your oc, label it honestly.

use the “oc x canon” tag or “original character” there’s no shame in that. but please stop co-opting a space that’s meant to be inclusive and flexible for all readers, especially those who are often underrepresented in fiction. the “x reader” tag is not a blank slate for oc projection.

it’s meant to include everyone, not just your creative vision.

respect your audience. tag responsibly.

NOTE: writing in another point of view like “SHE/HE went to the market” instead of “YOU went to the market” does not count as “x reader.”

(not 100% but most of the time) don’t try to be clever or sneaky about it.

NOTE 2: by the way, regarding the second image, it’s great to see more asian, black, and mixed oc’s! but even so, that still doesn’t make it a reader insert, let alone fit the tag. the reader needs to be the main character.

it’s becoming impossible to read anything that’s actually reader insert in the asoiaf fandom because almost every post is just ocs.

like seriously, what’s the point of the reader insert tag if the reader isn’t even inserted? a tag meant for readers where readers aren’t included, give me a break. and on ao3 it’s getting even worse.

these oc writers seriously need to get some shame, my god.

you have HUNDREDS of tags to use, and you choose the one that’s meant to insert and include as many readers as possible so they can feel represented.

It's so frustrating. I was literally just going through the Jace tags, and everything was Targ (twin) sister, and it made me want to vomit on top of them being like "you have white hair btw."

Luckily, I've had Platinum hair, so I know what I'd look like, but that was FIVE years ago.

And it's even worse when they are like "oh, btw, you're a targeryen :)"... specifically the direct sister/brother/uncle/aunt/niece/nephew, of the character. Like bro, this is another case of "Y/n does something that I would NEVER do even in a fictional universe." It makes me ill.

Or.

"Yeah, you're a Baratheon, so you have dark hair and "fair skin"........ so you've made me white? I'm not white, my guy.

OR!

"It's just an unnamed OC," and EVERY tag attached to the post is X FUCKING READER.

Try looking for something for a male reader or male oc. You'll get depressed. Or at least gender-neutral reader. It's annoying that even stories labeled GNreader have "vaginal sex" specifically mentioned. Seriously? It's POSSIBLE to describe intercourse without providing biological details. It's not difficult. Or another hack for writing vaginal sex stories, FTM reader. (Yes, there are trans people in the fandom, but that's completely not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about using it as a ploy to write about male readers, but still about sex as vaginal.). Since we're talking about trans people: literally 0.01% is labeled MTF – I've only personally seen a few such stories.

Reader is always a wife, a princess, a lady-in-waiting, a woman. By implication, a woman. This is a problem for many fandoms. It's like everyone writes assuming the reader is a woman and/or has a vagina. Well, surprise, no.

It's really exhausting trying to read some x MALE reader fics in certain fandoms then get bombarded with x FEM reader fics. I'll read like 5 beautiful written fics and then the next will be "character x Wife!reader". Its so tiring and annoying. And then when I see others rant about it they are told in the comments to "block and move on" "don't like don't read" but why? WHY should I have to block people who can't tag their stuff right and invade spaces they know it's not okay to be in? (I'm not hunting down fem reader writers. I'm asking you to please just..)

TAG YOUR SHIT RIGHT.
