You're literally supposed to hold it at a reasonable distance, close your fucking mouth and nose, and spray (that's why it's an aerosol)... If you're spraying it on your hands to apply it elsewhere you're going to get streaky coverage. Just get a pump bottle if you're putting it on your hands first.
