to be clear, I believe younger artists and minors can write good fics (not to say “fanfic must always be good” either because it is a hobby and I still believe that as long as it’s done with love and the artist’s joy, it is good) and I believe it’s good when younger artists and minors start making art at young ages.

that said, a lot of fanfics out there that you read and love are done by adults with kids, jobs and responsibilities. adults who have years, decades of practice under their belts. adults who don’t let life and responsibilities take away their joy in creating.

someone’s love and passion don’t suddenly go away the second they reach a certain age. so if anything, I feel sorry for people who say “adults shouldn’t write fanfics or make fan art” because what these people really say is that they expect themselves to stop having fun and finding comfort in things that bring them joy and comfort the second they reach a certain age. it’s sad that they put an expiration date on their own fun and source of comfort.

Do you think Pantalone resented the clones after they dissected Zandik, a man he was fond of if not only because they had a shared goal? Was he in love with the original who aged? Did he despise the clone who wore the unchanging face of a man who could never become immortal only to create them? Do you think he had to avoid the clones for awhile to not remember Zandik. Because of what happened. To get over the death of a man who had parts of him still living.

Or was it only after Zandik died that Pantalone showed interest in the clone(s)? Do you think Pantalone shows vulnerability over the years to them that they don’t know how to place. Dottore is not a person used to being trusted. Do the clones talk about it amongst themselves? Unsure of how to proceed.

Or was Pantalone always going to be in love with the clone that looked like a frozen in time version of the man who originally treated and saved him. Was he destined to always love and support the most selfish, self critical, harsh, and arrogant version of Dottore?

There are no "exact color" of pride flags.

I see more and more sites and posts talking about the exact hex codes for the lesbian flag, or the right purple for the ace one, and how it should be more or less saturated and I just want to say: pride flags were meant to be sewn in your kitchen. To be spraypainted and to be recognised.

There are no "exact colors" of pride flags because you should do them with what you have ! Nobody should care if you use a crimson red instead of a cherry red or whatever ! Be free ! wave your colors ! The colors you have !

One thing I REALLY like about Yuri on Ice is how NONE of the characters are just one dimensional. Like Viktor could’ve just been this eccentric guy who liked Yuuri for shits and giggles, but no, he’s shown to really care about Yuuri! And Yurio genuinely could’ve just been some stuck up kid with an attitude but it’s obvious from the start how much he’s just desperate to succeed in skating!! And even side characters like JJ that are introduced later are complex; It’s scary to think that JJ could’ve just been some arrogant prick instead of the clearly emotional and ambitious person he is

None of the characters are defined by a single thing—they’re so complex and I just love Yuri on ice

Rin's love is almost as heartbreaking as the love you'd have for a dead sibling, because the brother he grew up with did die and become someone he no longer recognizes. Someone who no longer pulls Rin's hand along while walking in front of him

I wonder why Jean or anyone in the KoF hasn’t actually tried to sit down with Klee and tells her of the consequences of what her bombs could do but in a kid understandable way.

Like, “Klee, have you ever thought of what happened to the fishes that you blasted? What if they have a family to go back to? Won’t Klee be sad if she can’t see her mom or dad anymore?”

Or “Klee, if you keep destroying the pathways people are going to have a hard time moving around. What if some people are waiting for their food supplies? What if someone can’t go home? What if it cuts off the road entirely and someone on the other side needs immediate help?”

From what I’ve known, the punishments she received for destroying buildings are basically being locked in an isolated room, which, tbh you shouldn’t do that in the first place.

And if Klee tells them that she’s making it easier for them to pass, just tell her that there’s a reason for the pathway to be that way. Heck, you can even go on about the beauty of humanity and history and be Zhongli or whatever.
