KENNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
I saw the most incredible dog at the farmer's market.
Please everyone guess what this dog's pedigree is. (My guess was incorrect)
This was my guess as well. It is something else.
Congratulations to you!
This is a Dachshund / Samoyed
Yes it was an accidental litter
these miis are driving me nuts
my pronouns are she/her bc I'll never be him (anthony head playing on his pink ds in full costume on the set of merlin)
Dang I saw a version of this Onion article and I knew I had to make a Shingeki version, just because of the final option XD, but here goes:
a late medieval au
a daughter of the azumabito shogunate visits the court of the house of reiss, which her ackerman father served in, and ends up falling for the court doctor’s son. meanwhile, a reiss princess ends up catching feelings for a mysterious, foreign rogue.

Im listening to a podcast ep about AI usage and the guest is saying he completely understands why people refuse to use it out of fear because he shares the same fears, and it's just so weird to me that it's never ever acknowledged that some people don't use it not because they're afraid but because it just holds no appeal. There are things I'm sure learning models are very useful for but none of them have anything to do with me. Yes I'm a bit of a ludite but I completely failed to resist the lure of the phone, or social media, I've never used chatgpt because I have just never wanted to. I feel like the entire debate is instantly reframed once you acknowledge that it's not a necessary service that people either work to resist or avoid out of fear. For most people it's just an online tool, and for me and I know for lots of others too it's just not that important.
It's not that interesting or useful to me, it's holds no appeal, I am resisting nothing. I could already do everything I wanted I don't need a new tool. It really is that simple and I would feel this way even if it wasn't worrying and evil in various ways. We HAVE to resist this narrative that AI is everywhere because people want it, because it's necessary, because it's an improvement, because people can't live without it. AI is everywhere because tech CEOs and investors want to make something from their massive investments. It is incredibly resistable to me. Just don't have an interest in it. This needs to be part of the AI conversation if we have any hope of saving ourselves from the data mining clutches of big tech (AI specifics aside)
HELP
you have this superpower! BUT you have this side-effect
is it worth it?
yes!!
the side effect is bad but ITS WORTH IT
meh it's okay
the side effect makes it unusable/not worth it

what "death of the author" means:
a lot of people think the only point of engagement with art is just to decode exactly what the author was trying to say, and their intent is the "real meaning," and once you've figured out the real meaning you're done you've solved it. that's dumb and boring. don't do that.
things death of the author does not mean:
every interpretation is equally valid
you are forbidden to treat what we can know or reasonably guess about the author's intentions as something that matters to your interpretation at all
the only valid way to interpret fiction is to treat it like it's a documentary of events that really happened and never think about it in terms of "why would the creator, a human person, choose to present it this way"
authors shouldn't get to have opinions about what they intended to say through their work, they should shut up and let me tell them what it means because i know better
actually i, the person reading or watching or viewing this art, am the infallible source of real meaning, and everybody who disagrees with me is wrong including but not limited to the author
the audience is the infallible source of real meaning, not the author, and that's why they committed a war crime by not treating my own headcanons as authoritative
The other one I've seen that death of the author doesn't mean is:
I don't have to ever give a fuck about what an author says or does and it has no bearing on this thing I like because death of the author means that the art is entirely divorced from them.
This can manifest in a literary criticism way or a you can't criticise me for supporting this author way.
And like... you can discuss to death whether it's okay to financially support an author who's a horrible person who causes material harm to minorities or has done heinous shit, but it still won't be what death of the author means and it drives me nuts when people use it that way 😩
Silver District hates to see her on their doorstep
Too lazy to look for it and I know I've said this before, Levi talks like that because he grew up with Kenny and followed his speech mannerisms, but if Kuchel were alive, the real banger implication is that there's a real possibility that Levi would be speaking with women's speech instead XDD
levi ackerman with a valley girl accent when???
I need to know what a valley girl accent is XD
Rofl it’s a Southern California accent - think Ellie from Legally Blonde. It’s high pitched, nasally, and often ends in an up-pitch in voice at then end of a sentence. It brought us such linguistic jewels as: As if, Like, Totally, and Whatever
It would be about as jarring as the deep-ass voice we already get from the world’s tiniest man 😂
Thank you and @zeco5000 as well for the explanations, and yes, I think this would work well as a speech effect that says "woman", especially when the pitch and mannerisms say "man" XDDDD
And especially @zeco5000's comment about Kuchel's possible accent, I suppose if "Posh British English Accent" says "elegance", then that would be funny as hell too if Levi came out of the Underground sounding like that XDDDDD
I'm a British fanfic writer with a US-based beta reader. One of the comments they've left on my work said, "Please never stop making Levi say British things, it suits him so well."
In my head, he's speaking with a slightly rough London accent rather than RP, though.
20 days later...
Hope I'm not too far off the mark but this is what I imagine for the rough London accent?
And then I wanted to find an example of a posh accent but I found this instead and I'm going to leave this here and hope I don't get murdered for it XDDD
Jason Statham would have been the example I cited if asked, so yes 😁 Not that Levi necessarily sounds like him in my head, but the accent is spot on.
I've done the thought experiment before now of, "Which accent would I ascribe to each character in AOT?", and SOMEONE really needs to sound like this:
Ah, "Seen Been or Shawn Bawn" as I like to call him XDD
Personally I think this would sound best coming from someone you don't expect to swear, and somehow that feels like it would sound best coming from Erwin, especially when completely out of the blue XD
(I love that explosive 'b' XDDD)

"Never let them know your next move" except "them" is me and my next move is specifically my next media obsession. Generally speaking I'm a sweet cinnamon roll who gravitates towards feel-good media. I'm also the kind of aro-ace who is like, really apathetic towards smut. So it makes total sense that the shows that burrowed their way into the deepest darkest crevices of my soul are - checks notes - that giant naked cannibal anime where pretty much everybody dies and everything is awful, THE END and - shuffles notes - angsty hockey boys fucking.
