Hey there raider scum! Haven't dropped a Post Apocalyptic outfit picture in this Tumblr wasteland for a while. I went to Das große Treffen in Aach this year, bringing 3 different wastelander costumes with me. But it was blazing hot like an atom bomb just went off, so I didn't wear my full apocalypse gear. I packed weeks before the event and I thought it would be a nuclear winter. Since I was barely at home, I didn't have time to re-pack. I spend this wasteland weekend at the endzeit encampment of Rotten Raptor, together with my Tribe Riot friends. It was a 12 hours ride to Germany, but we did have fun!

Sometimes you find inspiration for kostuums in the most weird places. This idea for a orange/brown - blue costume came to me during a visit to a museum and there was a part about Royal yachts and their interior. The blue / orange and patterns / textures inspired me. so there you go!

Post-apoc raider mask I put together as a challenge a while back - using only stuff I had laying around the house. Started with the idea of a cable mohawk and grew outward from there.

in case anybody's interested. i made the original art that i use as an avatar pic. it's called "skulls carved with dead men's knives." it's a lino print. i carved the blocks using only pocket knives that belonged to my father (died 2005) and my grandfather (died 1981). the inked area is uneven because i didn't have access to real printing equipment, so i put the paper on the blocks, put a dish towel on the paper and then sat on them and wiggled my ass a bit.

i was holding my grandfather's hand when he died.

i wasn't there when my dad died, but i did help roll his body on it's side to check for lividity. so i've seen my father's corpse's bare ass. as sentences go, that's pretty fucking cool. as experiences go, i would not recommend. (i have plenty of family members i'll be happy when they die. [looking at you here, mom] but i still don't want to see their bare discolored asses.)
