For a more illustrative example, say you go to the movies with a friend and you buy them popcorn, do you expect them at some point to send you money back via cash or through an app of some kind? Will you be upset if they don’t?

#I mean that completely depends on the circumstances #if it's a little treat or a spontaneous gift or like. just something I've decided to pay for just cause I can then no never #but if it's like... hey can you pay for this thing for me while I'm occupied with something else. then yeah probably #or if it's something kind of pricey that we're both going to use/eat etc. then also probably yeah #like I wouldn't ask for payment but I'd be surprised if they didn't bring it up themselves #something like popcorn tho. no way. take ur popcorn dude

sometimes older people get annoyed when i say "no problem" instead of "you're welcome" but the truth is it's literally not a problem

#I work in customer service so people say thank you to me dozens of times a day #and a lot of them are of the generation that finds 'no problem' a little annoying and rude #so to get around the inherent discomfort of saying 'you're welcome' to them I leaned into it and instead say things like #'you're very welcome' and 'my pleasure'#which works well for me because I have a very bubbly and sincere kind of energy. anyway. boomers love me

I heard back from the bird rescue and MY PIDGE LIVES!!!! my pidge's wounds are being treated and it gets to grow up safely and be released in a little flock with the other young pigeons at the rehab centre someday!!!

I love you, small and pathetic fledgling pigeon. I'm sorry you got attacked on my balcony. I hope you grow up big and strong.

#ughhh I rly hope he's ok. he was alert and moving fine but he was also bleeding pretty heavily from his leg #my poor pigeons. first the family annihilating raven and now the toddler terminating raptor. SHOP FOR YOUR MEALS ELSEWHERE!!!!!

GOD #he was bleeding so I herded him into a. well I'd love to say box #but it's a big metal can that used to have popcorn in it. because that is what I had on hand.#ANYWAY he's in a can in a retired cat carrier with a towel and we are headed to a bird rehab center.#FUCK!!!!!!
