Welcome back to the 2026 Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang!

Another summer in Middle-earth is soon to begin, and we are glad to have both returning and new writers and artists joining us. As always, the journey starts with the artists—whose work will inspire the stories that follow. We look forward to seeing the many corners of Tolkien’s legendarium brought to life through your creativity.

To help spark a few ideas, we’ve opened the Art Suggestion Form. This is a completely optional space where writers and other interested participants can share prompts or concepts that artists might find inspiring.

Artists are welcome to browse the list, ignore it entirely, or follow their own road—as all good wanderers of Arda are wont to do. Suggestions are simply a pool of possibilities, not obligations.

Will the event be happening this year? Since the gallery from the previous year usually opens in March, but there’s no 2026 schedule on the site I wanted to make sure it is still going to happen this year!

HELLO EVERYONE and welcome to the THIRD(!!!!!) year of Celegorm and Curufin week! Much like Celegorm and Curufin, I do not know when to quit. Our event will take place once again in the third week of March, from the 16th to the 23rd. I am your host Archi of Medes and I don’t know why I’m styling this like a news announcer.

Prompts will be released either by the end of December or early January, so keep those eyes peeled! Delicious! Thank you all for participating last year, and I can’t wait to see your beautiful entries this year too!
