It’s wrong and gross AND makes highschool kids feel like they’re either missing out or somehow defective if they don’t take part in that culture, I know that I used to think that 21 was the cutoff for ever finding someone to be in a relationship with and that’s just so not true it makes my brain hurt now but when you’re even younger and have even less life experience than I do it seems totally plausible because we’re so conditioned into viewing 15 and up as actual adulthood rather than realizing that childhood extends to at least 18 and that we shouldn’t partake of anything until we have the emotional and mental maturity to handle it.
