Oh they’re going to need salvation.
Not just making it illegal, but making being gay punishable with death.
This is one of the many reasons why I walk by every single red bucket in the run-up to Christmas. They’re not getting my money, I don’t care how nice the people ringing bells are.
Ever since the time they threatened to close all their soup kitchens in NYC if a law that did something as simple as allow companies to extend spousal benefits to their employee’s same-sex domestic partners I have refused to buy from them or donate to them.
It’s that time of year again! In case people don’t know… the Salvation Army is shitty peoples.
Also, the married women are not paid (and therefore can’t qualify for assistance if they should ever divorce, etc). And worth “of course” less than a man.
“ In the Army’s case, the agreement for compensation is that the officer allowance be paid jointly to the husband—the check is written in his name. Officially, the wife is a “worker without expectation of remuneration,” and her husband receives 40 percent more of an allowance as a married man than he would as a single man. “

hey since that season is coming up again!
To my American followers. Don’t support Salvation Army. Not only are they homophobic as shit, but I’ve also heard that they abuse a lot f homeless people. They only care about money, please don’t donate to them and give your money to charities that actually help people
Never don’t reblog.
To be clear: this is specific to America. It is not necessarily going to be true for all countries. Please don’t boycott your own salvos without proper investigation: in many countries they do good work.
Sorry but no, the Salvation Army was founded in the UK and even there still are homophobic as hell, to the point that they still refuse to let out gay people hold positions of power in the organisation. This is a callout for the whole group, not just the US. - Purple
AND Canadian salvation army is just as bad! the whole organization is rotten from the core! Canadians are not immune to bad organizations!

I love every single person who reblogged this
I don’t think people realize how much of an impact this kind of support can have, I don’t think everyone knows what these little things can mean to us.
It may just be me, I don’t know. But every single time I see this on my dash or on someone’s blog or anywhere else, I kind of just breathe a sigh of relief. That’s one more person who cares. That’s one more person who doesn’t hate me.
Because it means so much, especially when all the media is spewing out is that I’m a terrible person and no one wants people like me near them. It means so much because I’m tired of people who won’t sit next to me in class, or who choose to join the longer line at the grocery store because they don’t want to be beside me and my family. It means so much when I have to lift my head any time someone says the words Islam or Muslim because I’m scared that they’ll say something that’ll hurt, when I have to pay attention to the news because who knows what so and so is saying now, who knows which of my people are being attacked now, who knows what’s going to happen to me now.
It means so much because I’ve been given the idea that the world is against me. And a huge part of it may be, but at least I’ve been reminded that some of it, just a small group of people, acknowledges that I’m a person too. That people like me are just that, people.
Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know. But now you do, so thank you for believing that I’m human when so many people don’t.
Have a great day x

So, I am coming back slowly but surely guys. I just built my first computer so all of my CC is gone. It’ll cool to start off new and I just want to do challenges when I settle in. My laptop fried and with my new baby built from scratch, I am not going to overload my computer with CC.
I missed you all.
I just started FFXIV and honestly I am in love ❤❤❤
I need some more friends.
Hello everyone. I dont post much but this situation means so much to me. My best friend is transitioning and has been trying since he was 15. He needs to pay nurse fees and anesthesia. He is a loyal friend and the most amazing blessing of a man on this Earth. It would mean the world to me if he finally gets this burden off of him.
Sorry for using my simblr like this but this is so important.
Hello all! I have always had a sort of dealing for my life all set around my college graduati… Amanda Valentine needs your support for Fina
“Hello, my name is Sharlene Pike and I am a black transgender person originating from South Africa and working as a receptionist/host. I moved to the United States 4 years ago alone and without any support, as my parents died in my home country when I was 18. Being a transgender black female immigrant places three discrimination barriers and makes it extremely hard to socialize and find a job to live properly. Nevertheless, I tried my best. I had been working at 7 different companies as a receptionist/host/waitress for these four years, but 2 months ago I lost my job. The reasoning I was given - ‘staff reduction due to COVID-19 complications’. I have been unemployed for these 2 months, but the reason I can’t start a new job is not COVID-19. In February, I was diagnosed with stage-3 esophageal cancer. I had no prior knowledge of my diagnosis as this type of cancer can be quite concealed, and I had only two or three weeks of eating discomfort before I had a medical consultation. The company I was working at had a special program to support staff members who need expensive surgeries or therapies, and I believe my diagnosis was the true reason I was reduced, since it happened just after I told my office I might need an extended medical leave. The sum I have spent on the medical procedures only to clarify the future treatment equals my 3 salaries. The sum I’m asking for is actually covering first 6 months of treatment and the cheapest drug - basically simply to have a chance to survive. I have no health insurance and I can’t take a new job because my health condition significantly deteriorated. The thing that I have learnt throughout these months is that it is very hard to get any, even basic medical help if you are transgender. The death rate of the esophageal cancer is about 30%, which is very high, and I ask you to help me to have a chance to survive. I tried to deal with everything without anyone by my side, but current circumstances left me with no choice but to ask you to donate and share my story. Thank you very much.”
this gofundme was started on june 19th, 2020 and as of june 30th, 2020 she still needs donations! i’ll reblog with the donation link in one moment.

Hi friends,
I'm sort of having a dilema. Im self quarantined so Ive been playing Sims ALOT. Everytime I screenshot or have my mind on a story, I wanna post it so bad. But as soon as I load the save file, I'm turned off. Yet, if I play a family for the hell of it, I wanna share it but it wont be engaging because it's not edited beautiful or anything. What do I do?

RODNEY REED ❤️
I only heard about Mr Reed’s case last week but I’m sure most of us have heard similar stories. A black man railroaded into the U.S. justice system by an unfair trial, racism, and lack of proper evidence testing. Mr. Reed was convicted of killing a white woman and has been on death row in Texas for 22 years. His days are literally numbered and at this point he has 8 days left till his execution date, November 20, 2019.
Mr Reed has been heavy on my heart and I felt the need to bring some type of awareness to the communities that I’m a part of. Hope that you can take some time out of your day to read or listen to his case, and help in anyway you can to give this man another chance at life.

About the Case
Stacey Stites died in April 1996. Nearly one year later, Bastrop Sheriffs arrested a 29-year-old black man named Rodney Reed. He was charged with capital murder, citing DNA evidence matching Reed’s DNA to a small amount of sperm found inside the body. Prosecutors succesfully argued that this was enough evidence to prove that Reed was responsible for her brutal sexual assault and murder. (freerodneyreed.com)
Texas has scheduled the execution of our client Rodney Reed for this November 20, despite evidence that exonerates him and implicates the murder victim’s fiancé, Jimmy Fennell. Reed has been on death row since 1998 for the 1996 murder of Stacey Stites and he has been repeatedly denied DNA testing, which could prove his innocence. Furthermore, three forensic experts have submitted affidavits recanting their original testimony and stating that the original time of death is inaccurate, making the timeline for Reed killing Stites implausible. New witnesses, including Stites’s own cousin, have come forward and corroborated Reed’s claim that they knew that Reed and Stites were romantically involved. At this point, the state’s original case has been completely discredited and deconstructed. (innocentproject.com)

HOW TO HELP
Celebrities like Oprah, Kim Kardashian, TI, Beyonce, Rihanna have also spoken up about Mr. Reed’s case.
Rodney Reed has ONE WEEK before he’s due to be executed for a crime he did not commit. I know sims is an escape from everyday reality for a lot of us and I understand that 100% but you need to understand that politics are personal and if they aren’t for you, that’s privilege in action. In matters of life and death, there should not be a shadow of a doubt, and this sounds shaky at best. I will never understand death sentences…
