It's 1970. The war worsens, temporarily halting Charles' dream of his school for mutants, and Charles continues to struggle under the moral responsibility of his mutation. Meanwhile, Erik has invested himself in the support of Charles, despite its price of patience and inaction.
Early 70s alternate timeline diverging after XMFC with established Charles/Erik relationship featuring Raven, Alex, Hank, and Emma.

For those who need a refresher, here's a quick overview of what the Remix Event entails:
But what is Remix exactly? Remix is a challenge where you rewrite someone else's X-Men story or redraw someone else's X-Men art the way you would have written/made it if it were your story/art.
What is X-Men Remix Main? X-Men Remix is when you sign up, you will be matched with another participant in the exchange and be asked to remix their work. Someone else in the exchange (not the person you write/draw for) will be remixing one of yours. Remix is a GIFT EXCHANGE i.e. you will get one of your works remixed.
What is X-Men Remix Madness? X-Men Remix Madness is when you sign up to give anyone permission to Remix any of your works (you may list safe stories which can not be remixed). You do not have to sign up if you only want to remix others but don't want anyone to remix your works. Remix Madness is a PROMPT CHALLENGE i.e. you are not guaranteed to have any of your works remixed. Other people’s phones are truly hell on earth. Ringer on, full volume, automatically connects to any Bluetooth speaker. Eight pages of apps, thousands of unopened notifications, ten times as many unread emails. A busy, low res picture of a loved one as the wallpaper that makes the app names impossible to read. They have notifications on for every random game they’ve ever downloaded. Every five minutes they get an alert about a gas explosion thousands of miles away or a text from an unsaved number or a notification about a new pizza place in town. And they just swipe it away and return to etching patterns in the screen grease from playing some 3d car game that makes the device hot enough to cook an egg

Dean's rudderless when he limps ashore in West Cibola. 23, with nobody and nothing but a couple bucks and a broken-down old car to his name. It's October. Nothing's been right for a long time.
He turns 24 in a rundown long-stay motel room with an under the table turned actual job at an washed-up dive bar— the only place that'd take him without a real job history or a permanent address. It’s way off the tourist strip and the money’s terrible, but it’s steady.
Two years and some change later, just as the restlessness really starts to seep in, he meets Chuck Shurley for the first time.
That he knows of.

NEW CHAPTER (first half) UP!
We just got too overwhelmed trying to edit this chapter all in one piece (it's the entirety of season 4!) so we split it up. Here's the summer, and then fall/winter we'll post as soon as we can.

Usually, Hell isn’t even on the game board for the angels.
It’s unspoken law: demons stay out of Heaven, angels stay out of Hell, everyone’s happy. The angels would never even think about crossing that thin brimstone line to get to Dean.
But, also, the angels don’t have free will— not how humans do. Chuck can pop open their collective celestial cans, spit an idea in and by the end, it’s like they came up with it all on their own.
It got boring eons ago. All his previous drafts, Michael and Lucifer fighting to the death, Raphael and Gabriel choosing sides, both betraying and assisting…. It wore thin without any real surprises before Chuck gave up and admitted they were absolutely worthless for writing any stories with lasting drama. They’re the rough drafts of an amateur that Chuck doesn’t dare re-read nowadays. Total cringe.
But it’s useful now, he has to admit.
Chuck plants one simple seed about retrieving the Righteous Man from the Pit, mounting an epic offscreen attack on the Infernal Gates. It's easy, right? Angels: warriors of God. Demons: sinful cowards. Heck, he even rewrites the narrative to give them a deadline, gifting Dean the burden of being the very first of the Sixty-Six Seals.
And the angels, busy bees that they are, get right to brass tacks planning their siege.
(And oh but Chuck loves this part: when the pieces start to fall together and it all feels so natural, like conducting a live-wire orchestra, pulling strings from one plot thread to the next as the ripple effects play out—)
It’s not like any other version of season four he’s written. He’s flying blind. Normally, some angel would simply come visit Dean by this point— shift the world bigger than the demon-centric small-fry stuff that Sam-and-Dean have been getting all too competent with. Like any biblical story, true harbingers of exposition they are, that angel appears in Dean’s dreams. But usually, it’s just that: they patiently fill him in on the whole Righteous Man deal, and kick season four off the starting blocks.
But kicking off the season by going full Lazarus with Dean? Besieging Hell itself to punt Dean back onto the playing field?
Goldmine.
The only real problem is figuring out which angel to send. Spearheading the whole deal and getting real face time with the Winchesters means it’s gotta be a good one. (And most of them, to be honest… they kinda suck.)
