How did you get started?
I first discovered the art of archery when I was 9 years old. As a 5th grader, we we're signed up for 4-H. Throughout that, I was able to experience archery.

Ar•cher•y - ˈärCH(ə)rē/
The word archery is a noun. It is defined as “the sport or skill of shooting with a bow and arrows, especially at a target”. To me, archery means so much more than that. Archery teaches leadership skills, independence, and determination. It is a great way to met so many interesting people and to make a ton of friends. What is your definition of archery?
It’s been a pleasure an a joy to watch these top athletes shoot for the Olympic spots. On the men’s team, Brady Ellison is first. Followed by Zach Garrett and Jake Kaminski. Daniel McLaughlin is the alternate. On the women’s side, Mackenzie Brown is secured to go. Hye Youn Park, 2nd, and Khatuna Lorig, 3rd, will be fighting for their tickets next month. LaNola Pritchard is their alternate.
The 1st ever Regional Dream Team camp . I am in the back by the doors. I'll keep you updated!
So excited for Gator Cup! Are any of you shooting this weekend? I’ll be shooting in the afternoon with the Cadet recurves, come and visit me at target 12!
Okay archers! I have an amazing app to show you all! @worldarchery has developed an app so us archers can shoot “head2head”. For an archer who is used to shooting alone 99.9% of the time, I’m excited to see how the app will grow and develop. Feel free to send me an invite though my nickname archery-girl7. Happy shooting!!
Friday I took a break from archery and got dolled up. Here is my picture from prom! Since it takes a little while to curl thick hair, I didn’t have any time to get a picture with my bow, but I will, for sure, have one the next time I’m dressed up!!
So a friend of mine take the most amazing pictures! You’ve got to follow her pages on Facebook, One Shot Photography and Christian Archers. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
Yesterday I had an amazing opportunity to enjoy a different aspect of archery. The technique was a Chinese style of shooting. In the above pictures, you’ll see bows and arrows handmade by Jaap Koppendrayer, or Yumi archery. The next photo is of thumb rings. They’re basically our equivalent of finger tabs. The last photo is of arrow heads that would go in the older arrows, quivers, thumb ring pouches, and in the corner is a great book called The Way of Archery, by Jie Tian and Justin ma. They are both really cool people, by the way. If you’re interested in trying this style of archery, you can go to cinnabarbow.com. The page sells Mariners (水手), or Traditional Chinese Bows, and thumb rings. So archers, I hope you all have a great day, and shoot straight my friends.
Happy Easter archery friends
Happy Easter ya'll!! I should have a post coming out little bit later today. Just editing the last bit. 😊
That one arrow.
Just need a little sight adjustment. What do y'all think?
Happy Valentines Day ya'll! Hope you've had a great day, and shoot straight my friends!
Thanks everyone! The page has finally reached 100 followers!! I'm so excited to see our community grow, and I am looking forward to see where we go from here. To my older followers, thank you for sticking with me, and to my new ones, welcome! I look forward to getting to know ya'll better! So, as always, I hope ya'll have a great day, and shoot straight my friends!
“The master has failed more times then the beginner has even tired.”
I love this quote. It reminds me that even the best have had bad days to get where they are today. This gives me encouragement and hope to keep on shooting even in rough patches. I hope you find strength in this quote. Have a great day today, and shoot straight my friends!!
So, I printed a pancake. We live in the future. I can have my handwriting as a pancake.
Love this!! I must have my own! 😃
