Okay so I've tried to avoid the whole cabaret discourse about Eddie Redmaynes portrayal of The Emcee and how people are saying "well you clearly don't get the show if you don't like his performance 🤓" because it genuinely gets on my nerves so badly??

Cabaret has been my special interest for a while now and I adore it more than anything else in the world BUT I never really liked the current revival or Eddie Redmaynes Emcee, not because I don't know what the show is about, but because I just don't like Redmayne as a person 💀. The other emcees in the revival, especially the from the west end, have generally been pretty decent!

I personally think Alan's and Joel's portrayals, being sort of opposites anyway, work really well with the story and I find that those performances are the best for me. This does not mean that I go shit on Eddie Redmayne Emcee likers' front porch because I don't like him? It's like people genuinely can't have opinions anymore.

So please stop being so hostile and pretentious please!!!!
