It’s something I’ve noticed over the past two years of using this site. It was gradual, imperceptible at first, something that most would brush off as a silly concern, or fault Tumblr algorithm for. While it’s true that Tumblr’s engine leaves a lot to be desired, I’ve noticed that even popular blogs have started to dwindle in terms of interaction or motivation. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but the biggest two I’ve noticed, experienced myself, and asked fellow writers about is this: (1) content being stolen, and (2) lack of feedback or interaction. I’ve never seen any logical person defend content being stolen, so I want to address point 2 instead.
Lack of feedback and interaction. I’m not saying this on my behalf so much as I’m saying this for friends and smaller blogs who have lost motivation to write. I was looking at my yandere writing blogs list the other day and noticed that a good majority of them no longer write. I usually update the list every few months, and by that point, more and more writers have stopped writing entirely. This isn’t a problem confined solely to the yandere fandom; in fact, there’s less writing blogs in general these days, especially ones that are active. I used to run a very popular BNHA blog with some friends, but that dissolved after our content was stolen and our followers stopped interacting as much. Out of our 8,500 followers, we hardly got 0.015% notes (~128 notes) on an average post. Tumblr is to blame for the lack of eyes seeing our posts, for sure, but that also means that at least 128 people saw one post and didn’t leave a comment or ask. We were considered a big blog; imagine what it’s like on a small blog.
My friend recently made a post that summed this up perfectly:
“I’ve seen people say “Be grateful that people even lurk on your page.” and, while I get the message they’re trying to say, it’s more dismissive and hurtful in my opinion. Like you’re saying, “Oh your writing is mediocre, you should be grateful people even LOOK at it.”
Me personally? I’ve heard the argument that AO3 is a better place to post fanfics, and while that might be true, I’ve had friends experience firsthand the lack of interaction there too. I’ve heard the argument that interacting with some writers is intimidating (me included). I’ve heard that argument that followers might be too shy to interact. I’ve heard the argument that writers should write for themselves and not for views / likes / reblogs / etc, and while that’s ideal, it’s not sustainable for everyone. What works for one writer won’t work for another, but you know what will? Interaction.
That comment or ask that took you 2 seconds to write? We remember it. That reblog with the compliments in the tags? We remember it. Every single ‘named’ anon we get (heart anon, sunflower anon, etc)? We remember them. And the best part is? It’s actually easier to do these things on Tumblr since you have the option to send anonymous asks or make a sideblog specifically for reblogs! Trust me, whether the lack of interaction is the cause of a lack of motivation or what have you, every writer appreciates feedback (don’t be shy to offer some critique or compliments) or even a simple keyboard smash with some emojis. Even sitting down for 5 min a day per week to comment on your favorite writers’ new pieces makes a huge difference. Personally, since Tumblr’s activity feed is beyond terrible and I have over 1,500 posts, I don’t always see new reblogs or comments on my content; asks though? Always see those, can never go wrong with those. If you don’t want to reblog or leave a comment, then you can never go wrong with an anonymous ask.
As my wise friend says: writing is an art, and in order to improve that art, we need other people’s eyes to see what we don’t.

I think almost every yandere has the potential to kidnap their darling if they’re pushed far enough. There’s a lot of reasons to kidnap a darling ranging from wanting to protect the darling to a desire to keep the darling all to themselves. That said, some yanderes are more likely to kidnap their darling than others. For this list, I’ll just go through Karasuno and rank them from least to most likely.
Yachi wouldn’t dream of locking her darling up. She’s undeserving of even the slightest glance. She could never bring herself to do anything that could potentially harm her darling. Plus, she doesn’t have a clue about how to kidnap her darling. The furthest she’ll go is sneaking into your room to watch you sleep and maybe grab that old t-shirt in the back of your closet. You can always feel her presence just over your shoulder but she’s good at hiding herself away before she could get caught. Honestly, it’ll take ages for her to gather the courage just to speak to you. And when she does, she can only stumble through a compliment. She’s so adorable that you’ll forgive her stranger habits, even though she leans in to smell your hair from time to time. She won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to and it’s because of that very kindness chances are you’ll become such a cute couple. With her doing her best to make you happy, you find yourself making more and more time for her. Just pray that you never stumble upon her twisted shrine. All in all a 1/10.
Asahi worships his darling and would never risk anything that could potentially make his darling hate him. He desperately wants to ensure the safety of his darling, but the thought of them being angry is too much to bear. He’s far more likely to try to persuade his darling to stay with him. It’ll start with him just suggesting the two of you becoming roommates to cut down on costs. From there he’ll push himself into your life, staying on the sidelines, but always nearby should you through any scrap of attention his way. He’s so needy and clingy, but he’s such a sweet guy. He’ll make you paranoid by subtlely pushing his anxieties off on you until you become just as afraid of the outside world as he is. It takes some convincing, but he’ll do everything he can to make you work from home. You’ll spend most of your time indoors. He’ll beg you to stay here any time you mention the outside world. But if you push wanting to go outside, he won’t stop you. He’ll trail you like a helpless puppy, but he won’t ever stop you from doing something you want to do. He also gets a 1/10.
For the most part, Yamaguchi is in the same vein as Asahi. The main difference is that Yamaguchi’s fears lie less with the outside world and more with you leaving him. He’s not used to being completely independent, it’s something he’s only beginning to learn throughout being on the team. He’s very dependent on you. Whenever you’re around he wants you to make every choice for him. He’ll ask about which shirt looks better on him, what kind of meals he should make, what kind of flowers he should plant, whether or not he should change his hair. He wants you to praise him at every turn. And he’s willing to go to any length to become your ideal man. Because he’s so dependent on you he’ll beg you to stay by his side. He simply can’t live without you and it’s so hard to say no to him. He’s a lot pushier than you’d expect. He’ll cling to you and cry if you try to leave. You can push him away and go despite his protests, but it won’t stop him from stalking you. I’d put him at a 2/10.
Suga seems like such a sweetheart, but he’ll do almost anything to keep his darling safe and happy. He’s already incredibly clever and when you combine that with his intense love for you it results in a very manipulative yandere. He’s not cruel about it, he merely wants to convince you that the two of you are perfect for one another. He adores you and that comes through with every gift he gives, every smile he sends your way, and with every compliment that is just so genuine, it makes your heart soar. What you don’t know is that he’s spent hours watching you in order to ensure that he can give you the perfect gift and know the exact compliment to quell your anxieties. It’s painstaking work but it’s worth it if it means you’ll stay with him. When he asks you out you won’t hesitate. Your relationship is the best you’ve ever had, at least from the perspective you have. Suga’s good at keeping all of his less desirable tendencies out of sight. But now that he knows every need, every insecurity, every desire, and every thought that goes through your head, he’ll have no trouble finding the right words to keep you away from the world. He’s so subtle about it you’ll forget why you even wanted to go outside. There’s nothing for you there, he’s all you need. He gets a 4/10.
Kiyoko believes that she knows what’s best for her darling. She’s spent most of her highschool life subtly mentoring a team of volleyball players. At this point, she’s so used to people looking up to her that she’s shocked to find someone more perfect than she is. Even if no one else can tell, she knows what a catch you are. She’s so sweet as she babies you. She’ll act like an older sister type, always watching over you. She’s there to help you with your homework, so kindly fixing your mistakes. You can come to her for advice anytime you need. It won’t be long before she gets more and more controlling. She’ll pick out your clothes for you and she’ll cook healthy meals for you. It feels like she’s just a loving girlfriend taking care of you, but in reality, she’s making you dependent on her. Soon you’ll be coming to her for every little problem you have, not realizing how helpless you are without her. If you try to leave, you’ll find life to be significantly harder without her. As soon as you face any challenge Kiyoko will appear by your side, showing you how much easier life could be if you’d just let her love you. Matching Suga, she gets a 4/10.
Right in the middle, we have Ennoshita. He’s used to being left in the background to make room for other, more passionate players, which makes it very easy to fly under your radar. He’s always around you, hovering on the outskirts of your gaze until he can build up your trust in him. You’ll get used to him being by your side for a while. And then things will start to get uncomfortable. He’ll hang around you much longer than he should, coming over to your house to study, only to stay despite the fact that the two of you are done studying. He’ll go through your stuff in a casual way, as though everything is totally normal. The comments he makes about your room and the things you own are… off-putting. It’s like he already knows everything about you. He brushes it off as he just knows you well but there’s this one-sided intimacy. He doesn’t do anything, not really. And yet, you feel trapped. He won’t physically kidnap you. He doesn’t say anything cruel. It’s just the atmosphere, though there’s no evidence to suggest otherwise, you know you can’t escape. Dead center, 5/10.
Tanaka is a unique blend of a worshipper and a possessive. He reveres you as a god. He expects you to hate him, most women do, but that won’t phase him in the slightest. He can take your hatred, he’ll relish in anything you give him. He’ll let you curse out his name or kick him to the ground if it’ll bring a cruel smile to your face. But that doesn’t mean he’ll let you do whatever you please. He doesn’t want anyone else to dirty his precious darling, so he’ll keep you separated from anyone that isn’t him. He knows how disgusting people can be and he views it as his life’s mission to protect you from them. Everyone is a potential threat. And you’re just too kind, too forgiving, he has to step up. He can keep you away from those perverts while still basking in your presence. Of course, if you want to it’s easy to escape. Tanaka will inevitably make more than a few mistakes. The only thing is, he’ll work terrifyingly hard to find you. What he lacks in intelligence he makes up with pure determination. When he finds you he’ll take you back to your shared home, carrying you so gently despite how much you thrash and fight and struggle. He’ll apologize as soon as the two of you are home together. Was he not good enough? He’ll be better, spending every free second by your side. He leans to a 6/10.
Noya is insane. There’s really no other way to put it. The most perverse out of all of them, he’s practically drooling at the chance to be by your side. He has such little relationship experience it takes 0.5 seconds for him to be head over heels. He’s also the clingiest one on this list, if you stray from his side for an instant he’s immediately panicking and calling the cops. He’s basically a needy puppy, glued to your hip and begging for attention. He’ll do anything to please you, he’ll learn to cook, show off his volleyball skills, listen to every word you say. He’ll conform himself to being your perfect husband. If you praise him, do it sparingly. If he receives praise too often he’ll become more deluded and push past your limits more and more. You didn’t want him to lock you up? But he’s been such a good boyfriend, you’ll let it slide, won’t you? You said he was a perfect match for you and you can’t go back on your word. Going to the opposite side and being cold makes him more desperate for praise. To finally get you to notice him becomes a goal and he will achieve it, even if he has to chain you to the bed. He gets so jealous it won’t take long for him to be the only person you’ll ever see. 7/10.
Daichi just wants you to be safe. This world can be so cruel and he can’t bear the thought of you getting your heart broken. You’re too sweet to be working so hard, just let him take care of you. All you have to do is sit at home patiently. Don’t talk to your friends, they might seem nice but Dachi knows that they’re all wicked. Trying to lay their hands on you and abuse a gentle soul like yours. He can’t let that happen. He’s the only one you need. The only one you can trust. Everyone else would use you as a stepping stone, but not him. He loves you. You just have to obey and your life is set. The two of you will be married after high school finishes. He’ll go on to college and you’ll be a house spouse. Once he gets a job, you’ll be dependent on him for a steady income, it seems every company you apply to turns you down. Complaints you have about your monetary vulnerability seems to upset your loving boyfriend. Why would you need a job? You have him. Every little thing you don’t like gets shot down by him. No friends, no family, no jobs, no freedom. He’s just trying to protect you, why would you ever want to leave? He sits at an 8/10.
Tsukishima loves the power he has over you. He’s smarter, stronger, more attractive and he’ll spend every second rubbing it in your face. He’ll taunt you, but if you show a negative reaction to his words it’ll make him awkward. If you cry or yell, he’ll be stunned for a second. He feels like it’s right for him to jeer at you, but if you do the same, his love for you will result in him crumbling. He puts on a facade of cruelty because he hates feeling powerless and his love for you is power too strong to be acknowledged. Yell at him, scream, cry, and he’ll snap like a twig. When he’s upset, he’ll isolate you, trying to separate himself from the fact he really does care, but can’t ever show it. He wants control. To feel like he isn’t addicted to the feel of your skin, the taste of your lips, the reflection of himself in your eyes. He’ll kidnap you and is smart enough to get away with it. He’s not kind to you, chains are forever around your ankles and his room becomes your hell. But there are moments of softness, though rare, where he’ll give you a gift or compliment you like he’s trying to gain your affection. Make a comment about it and he’ll have no qualms about abandoning you for a few days. Be unfailingly kind and act as he wants, and maybe he’ll be gentle, but he will never ever let you go. I place him at a 9/10.
If you’re looking for someone completely delusional, Hinata is the one for you. He’ll believe that the two of you are made for each other and no amount of protesting can ever change his mind. He’s basically a lost cause as soon as he meets you. You’ll engulf his every thought, the same fixation he had on volleyball now focused on you. You’ll have almost no free time once the two of you start ‘dating’ but you’ll have no problems with it because you clearly love him as much as he loves you. And perfect couples should live together, of course. The two of you are so happy together, he can’t stop talking about how great you are. It’s such a lovely mask that he can’t ever look past it to see how you really feel. He’ll do anything to keep his idyllic vision. If you tell him you hate him, he’ll say that he just hasn’t been giving you enough love and will increase his clinginess tenfold. If you try to run away, he’ll say that you needed a breath of fresh air. The two of you can go on a walk together, as long as you’re handcuffed to him. Sometimes you need to be tied to the bed because your ridiculous temper tantrum is getting in the way of hugging you. For better or worse, the two of you will be together forever. 10/10.
Kageyama is one of the few people that can match Hinata’s obsessiveness. He’s been attached to volleyball all his life so it basically gave him whiplash when he met you. It was a cheesy love at first sight situation, but Kageyama never knew how to love. His love is unfortunately vicious. His love letters are scribbled and unintentionally threatening. His gifts are strange and sometimes bloody. His touch is rough. He’s trying so hard, but can’t seem to find the words to tell you how much he loves you. It doesn’t take him long to get jealous, the more afraid you are the more you run to somebody who isn’t him. He unlearns all the lessons his team has painstakingly taught him and suddenly he can’t get along with others. He’s practically hissing at anyone who comes near you. A glare from him cuts through bone. Your friends will stop being your friends when he pays a visit. He’s always been good at volleyball, great even, but he can’t do a damn thing to earn your heart. So he just takes it. Regardless of how you feel, he’ll have you trapped in someplace secluded where he can practice being a better boyfriend. He loves you and you should love him too. Even if it takes time, he’s sure you’ll come around. He’s the only one you’ve got after all. Another 10/10.

ruggie bucchi
ruggie is more needy than others. he’s so used to having to scrounge for things, to barely scrape by, to have to juggle many jobs in order to live, that he naturally wants to hoard his darling to himself
it’s... so hard for him. he knows his darling loves him, they assure him; they just want him to be a little bit lenient, want him to let them be a bit free, to not hurt others.
it shouldn’t be that hard. even in his love-addled mind, even in his dark thoughts, he knows they aren’t asking for much. hell, they ask for the bare basics of a functional relationship; but this isn’t a healthy, functional relationship.
the fact ruggie’s darling is so desperate to try and be able to return the hyena’s feelings is almost painful to watch. they clearly try so hard; to cope with the isolation, with the fits of jealousy, the possessiveness, to try and use words and affection and pray for some miracle to make the relationship work
it won’t. it was doomed to go awry from the start- ruggie and his darling are in love, yes, but it’s not the same kind of love. his darling’s love is bright and warm, gentle and caring. ruggie’s love is dark and encroaching, defined by a desire to protect and keep.
it does make ruggie hurt a little to see his darling so sad and so very clearly trying. they love him, yes, but... he can’t just... let them be free, be there for anyone else to grab and see- they’re his. however, his more crafty side revels in their desperate love: he’ll use their emotions and their desire to fix and work the relationship as levers to manipulate them
loving ruggie back and trying to cull his bad tendencies won’t fix anything, but it might make the experience a bit more bearable. the intent to “fix” the relationship will eventually melt into just being glad ruggie isn’t being worse, and soon enough they’ll just be complacent to not make him mad.
trey clover
the fact is, trey’s darling just wishes things could be like they used to. trey starts the relationship like a prince charming; he’s the reliable, well-meaning, a bit teasing third year, the one who cares for most of the heartlsabyul students after riddle scolds them, a man who can bake like a god. he’s downright boyfriend material, and the first weeks of the relationship reflect that
it’s so hard for his darling to pinpoint when things went wrong- it was so... so gradual, so slow; like a frog in a pot of water that’s being boiled, trey’s darling feels like they didn’t notice how horrible things had become until it was all so wrong
trey is fully aware of how his darling feels. he’s flattered they love him so much, enough so that they feel this way even as he does what he believes “is needed”. he’s not so delusional he doesn’t know he’s pretty much pulling every manipulation and isolation technique right out of a textbook; he knows what he’s doing, he knows why he’s doing it
in trey’s mind, he’s just taking care of them. he’s being the reliable, caring guy he is- isn’t that why they fell in love with him, hm? he’ll even point it out to their face that they’re still in love with him. they should just stop worrying and stressing out. stop picking out the little details; wouldn’t they be happier if they just let the relationship run its course?
the upside to a darling that so desperately wants to love trey back and make everything work out is that he’ll be a bit more lenient. don’t get him wrong; he’ll hold his darling’s leash and be ready to hold it and pull it tight the second he believes they’re “stepping out of line”, but as long as they act in a way he thinks is good, they’ll be fine, for the most part
kalim al-asim
kalim lives, breathes, and eats affection. his love language is gift giving and he loves to shower his darling with gifts; all he wants in return is to be loved. the biggest gift his darling can give him is their love, really- and if his darling is so determined on loving him back, kalim is as happy as can be
it’s important to see exactly why kalim acts the way he does, and it mainly boils down to two points: he wants to protect his darling, and he sees his darling as part of his treasure. in the end, even though he’s naturally empathetic and gentle, he becomes a deeply possessive. he wants to show off his darling like a fine jewel, wants to show they’re his
at his best, kalim will listen to his darling. he’ll discuss and let certain things happen: go on a walk? sure, as long as he’s there! talk to their friends? well, if it’s all going down in the scarabia common room and he’s there, then that’s fine! have some alone time? well, everyone needs some “me time”, so they can chill in their assigned dorm room in scarabia and relax! want to talk to someone other than kalim? that’s ok, jamil is right there!
at his worst, kalim is torn. his darling cries, say they love him but need things to change; but... how can things change? he’s doing the most he can, isn’t he? he’s- he’s just trying to keep them safe, he’s really doing all he can...! he’ll get a bit mad; maybe he’ll shesd a few tears in frustration. he doesn’t get why his darling complains. is he not providing enough...?
it’s quite lucky for kalim’s darling that they are so willing to love him and make it work out. sure; pure love won’t fix the problems (they’re still a glorified belonging, entirely under kalim’s control, subject to his whims) but it makes it bearable. it certainly makes kalim’s behaviour way better- it’s not perfect, not healthy by any means, but his darling can be comforted by knowing it could be so much worse
I adore these headcannons! Our favorites are roughly the same with Ruggie and Kalim being at the very top of my heart. I love how you dig into their emotions and thought process. It gives them a feeling of being real, which makes the headcannons tense. These are characters we know and love but now they’re yan. It feels so much like them which grounds the work. I noticed your work focuses heavily on how the yandere feels, which is great for making the reader feel the horror within their love. I also think that the way you use italic and bold words really punches through the impact of their twisted desires. I try to read every post of yours because they’re just so good and I look forward to them all. This one stuck out to me particularly because of the sweetness and sadness their relationship with the darling contains. They try so hard to be good, they really do, but it’s impossible. They’ll remain insane for you ‘til the very end.
So, I’m making a few changes to the blog. I know I haven’t been back in a while, but now that I am I’m going to redo the rules, hopefully fix the links in my description, credit all the art I’ve used, and change my fandoms. For now the blog will be under maintenance as I get all that stuff fixed up. Please do not send in any new requests, as I will delete them. This means that once I update my rules, a good chunk of current requests are going to get deleted. I’m very sorry, but some of these things I just can’t bring myself to write and I would really like a fresh start. I know, right? It’s funny how our opinion changes based on the reasons behind an action. It doesn’t change the fact that your legs are broken, but I can take it being due to protective tendencies a lot better than I can take sadistic tendencies. I get that for some people the idea of a sadist is really appealing, I can’t judge anyone when I’m writing all manners of twisted stuff. It’s just not my cup of tea. I’m a weakling really, so what I want is to be pampered and cared for. Sadism can’t really be considered care, but something done out of love is something I can warp to fit my ideals. A typical yandere would make sure that my legs were appropriately bandaged and that I received the minimum care of painkillers and medication even if they weren’t happy, but a sadist would be content to let me rot in the basement. That’s something I find much less appealing, so I side with pretty much any other type
okay so I have an unorthodox idea and I’m really hoping you’d be willing to try it out. What if Sanemi was yandere over Genya?? Not in a romantic way obvi, but in an extremely overprotective bro way? Like let’s say he manages to save Genya from dying and they agree to reconnect. At first Genya is just so happy to have his older brother back, but then Sanemi starts to isolate him or flip out on his friends for putting his baby bro in “danger”. I’m so sorry for not writing anything for ages and then not even doing your request. Anyways, I think that platonic yanderes are an interesting concept, but I don’t think it’s something I‘ll write much. I’m pretty romance obsessed, so romantic love is more my style. Also, I’m trying to stick to reader inserts as for my writings. That said, it is a really cool idea. I hope you find someone to write it! I’m doing okay! I’m sorry that I disappeared for ages, some personal stuff came up, but that’s solved now, so I should be able to go back to posting regularly. I'm glad you also don't like sadistic yanderes , when I ask for a yandere I mean someone who's obsessed with their darling and worship them but I see it elsewhere always mixed up with abuse and it really turns me off, I don't find anything sexy about someone being beaten and tortured too or having their loved ones murdered 😩😩
Yeah, I get you. I feel like yanderes are supposed to love their darlings, they just go waaaaaaaay to overboard with their feelings, but it doesn’t change the fact that their relationship revolves around love for their darling. And let me tell, getting beaten up for no reason other than they get off on it don’t feel like love. I can deal with writing yandere’s hurting their darling or murder others but only if I feel that the darling has done something to warrant a punishment and it fits the character. Some characters are just softies and I can’t ever see them murdering or torturing others no matter how fucked up their love gets.
I adore overprotectives and worshippers for this reason. I mean the very first thing I wrote on this blog was for Tanjiro, who I feel fits overprotective to a T. All these types want is for your safety and happiness. They just go way overboard to get it. I think the biggest difference between the two is that overprotectives prioritize safety over happiness and worshippers do the opposite. That’s why overprotectives will barge into your life and get rid of anything that poses a threat. They care about your happiness, yes, but they think that it’s more important for you to be safe, so they’ll end up locking you away. Worshippers want you to be happy, so they’re fine hiding in the shadows and quietly giving you offerings(hey man ‘worship’ is an inherently cultist word, so just lean into it). They adore everything you do, because who better than you knows what right truly is?
Anyways, that’s just my opinion and this might’ve gotten longer than you wanted. but it’s fun to kind of analyze yanderes and their different types. I hope you have a nice day, anon!
We can totally talk about Haganezuka! I love him, and honestly, I wish there was more content of angry boy. For whatever reason, I’m just inherently attracted to every single character of kny, no matter how minor. The only exception is gyokko. I’m not touching that. so we’re going to celebrate 250 followers now! Sorry I missed the 100 milestone, but I’m so excited for 250 followers and it hasn’t even been a whole month since I posted my first creation!

In celebration of Nezuko’s birthday! I adore the softie and so I wrote this. I totally made her OOC because it’s hard to make such a sweetheart yandere, but oh well. Also, I finally wrote a non-bloody oneshot again. Everything’s been gory recently, so I tried to make this softer. Also one of the few that has a happy(ish?) ending.

It was easy to assume that Nezuko was safe. She was so sweet and despite the fact that she couldn’t speak, she was great company. You could tell her your deepest secrets and she listened to every single one. There was no fear that she would spill them to anyone else and it felt wonderful not to be judged. Because of this most of your time was spent with the demon. Even Tanjiro joked that you had a stronger bond with Nezuko than he did. You denied it, but it seemed like Nezuko was always by your side. It was comforting to see her by your side, but recently you had been longing for daylight. You adored her, but these days her presence was overbearing.
Nezuko clung to your arm, cuddling into your chest. Her bamboo muzzle pressed uncomfortably hard against your skin. Shifting was impossible, although she looked like a little girl her strength held you in place. She curled into you, something you had found adorable when she first did it. You knew she didn’t mean for it to be as torturous as it was. She wasn’t trying to hurt you in any way. And yet you hated the fact that you had to sit here, unmoving, for hours while Nezuko played with your hair.
There wasn’t any point in trying to move. She wouldn’t even feel your force and would stay locked in place, pastel eyes smiling up at you. You could complain, but she’d look hurt and you’d relent, resulting in her spending even more time with you. The only time you had to yourself was when sunlight came creeping into the room. The golden glow had become a sense of relief for you as the small demon had to return to her wooden box.
You felt bad for how bitter your feelings for Nezuko had grown. She only wanted to make you happy. It was clear from the flower crowns she gave you under the pale blue moon. From the way she melted into every touch you gave her. From the way she would drag out into the garden to show you the flutters of butterfly wings. From how she gazed at every expression you made with a warmth that still surprised you. But even though she meant well, everything she did unnerved you in some way.
The flower crowns themselves were sweet, but the shivers that ran down your spine when her claw-like nails brushed your scalp weren’t. When she melted into your warmth you were pinned down, unable to resist her when she held you like a doll. You didn’t want to see the butterflies, you didn’t want to go outside, but there wasn’t any way to wrench your hand from her vice-like grip. You had to constantly be good, as every action was monitored. There was no way out of her grasp. She was killing you and she didn’t even know it.
Her hand had moved to cup your face, concern evident in her eyes. Her nails traced the outline of your jaw. There was an inquisition in the way she tilted her head.
“I’m okay, Nezuko. I’ve just been a little distracted as of late. Nothing’s wrong, I promise.” You faked a smile. She took it and nuzzled into the crook of your neck, giving a small of contentment from beneath her bamboo muzzle. You leaned back, one of the small movements you could actually do. It was interrupted by the door sliding open to reveal a kakushi.
“Is there a (Name) here?” a feminine voice asked. Curiosity filled her tone and she likely wondered what you were doing with the only demon in the demon slayer corps.
“That would be me,” you answered, giving a small nod to the woman.
“Good, the insect hashira needs you to go on a special mission. I can’t disclose the details around anyone else,” her eyes dipped to Nezuko partly cradling you, “But the mission is incredibly dangerous, so you have the right to refuse if you feel it surpasses your current rank.” The kakushi declared in a formal tone.
“I accept the mission. We can discuss the details in my private room,” you answered with a nod.
You tried to lift yourself from the floor, expecting Nezuko to allow to leave but her weight encased you. You squirmed against her, but she didn’t let go of your wrists. She didn’t even lift her head up to address the situation, opting to trap you beneath her.
“Nezuko, please. This is important. You have to let go of me,” you said, trying to sound as patient as you could. There was no response from her, except for her pulling you into her with an even harder grip. Her stance grew protective and you hadn’t noticed earlier how her pupils grew into slits at the word danger. Her arms had coiled around your waist and her head moved from her favorite spot of your neck to glare at the kakushi. You had seen how her eyes would dilate in extreme situations. It was a sign of her demon urges taking over and fear flooded your veins. The kakushi flinched.
“Nezuko,” you pleaded, “you don’t need to worry. I’ve been on lots of missions before, I’ll be safe, I promise!” Nezuko was unmoved by your words, growling at the woman before you. Pain bloomed in your abdomen as her grip grew suffocatingly tight.
“Ma’am, it’s quite alright! I’ll inform the insect hashira of your refusal. Goodbye!” She scampered away, practically sprinting away from Nezuko.
Nezuko eased her grip and her eyes softened as they turned to you. You had seen her worry over you and she always ran to save you from the heat of battle, but she had never turned on a human like that. You couldn’t help but stare, shock and horror scrawled over your face like a tattoo. She pressed her face against your collarbone, hands running over your back before settling between the strands of your hair. You wondered if she was trying to comfort you or herself. You couldn’t help but embrace her back. Despite everything, she would protect you. She would save you from peril. You could deal with the pain of entrapment in exchange for safety. Nezuko hummed against your clavicle, giving imaginary kisses to the skin. As her rosy eyes reflected a pure intense love you wondered if maybe this life wouldn’t be so bad after all.
I like the yandere trope but I always want everybody to be happy and healthy so the fact that Kenma wouldn't kill anybody unless it was requested made my heart go badump. Sorry, I'm just so? Happy right now? Djnshehs I love Kenma so seeing 'Mhm, he's not an extreme yandere' also makes me happy??? Like he's amazing no matter what????? ANYWAYS nice writing and have a lovely day.
I’m so sorry I didn’t answer this earlier! I had to fuck off into the distance for a solid three days. But! I totally agree with you, I adore soft yans and I really think we need more of them. Like, I hate sadistics because I don’t like the idea of someone getting off on the pain of their loved one, because to me that isn’t hot, it isn’t love, it’s just fucked up. But hey, I’ll still attempt to write them if requested because I get that some people are into it, but I try to make pain come from punishments instead of “Oh I’m going to torture you just because”. I’ve spoken with @degenerate-yandere a bit on the subject.
Also Kenma is good boy and he’s so anti-social, but so sweet, I just die. I’m 100% convinced that he’s a stalker who wouldn’t ever want to hurt you if it could be avoided. I also feel like I made Suga too manipulative when he’s such a softie as well, but that’s a mistake I hope to rectify in future requests.

Honestly, I have so many requests that I should be doing right now, but I felt like doing a soft yandere and kenma is such a sweetheart so I couldn’t resist.
Kenma Kozume: Yandere Alphabet(L, X, & Y)
Love Letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
Kenma is very shy, so he’d start by watching you. He isn’t bold enough to approach you at first, so he’ll stalk you. It starts slow, him just watching you between classes, but it’ll soon grow to a point where he’ll follow you home. From there he’ll begin taking things from you. Nothing you’d miss, and certainly not enough for you to notice. He’d love his growing collection of chap sticks, pencils, charms, anything that he could find. All of this will happen long before he’s become your friend. He’ll still be just a classmate to you. Maybe he asked to borrow a pencil once or twice, or let you copy down notes when you missed the day before, but he didn’t stand out too much if you were honest.
He’ll start talking to you likely because Kuroo caught onto the crush and urged Kenma to talk to you. Kenma isn’t good at conversations, but he’ll try his best. He’ll compliment how your hair looks today, but from there he’s kind of at a loss, so you’ll have to hold most of the conversation. If you do make an effort to keep the conversation going, he’ll be very pleased. He’ll ask a lot of questions, most that he already knows the answer to in order to make you rant. He loves hearing your voice, so he won’t talk nearly as much as he’ll make you.
He has your schedule memorised, so he’ll make sure to coincidentally show up where you are. If you’re out to get groceries, he’ll be at the same supermarket. He’ll offer to help you figure out what to buy and he’ll carry them home for you. It’s a perfect opportunity to talk to you and up his standing in your eyes. He desperately wants to be on your good side and this is one of the few things he’ll show motivation for. He doesn’t want to be too clingy, but he can’t help how much he craves you. Soon he’ll be bumping into you too often for it to just be a coincidence. His behavior gets stranger and stranger the longer he’s known you, but never to unnatural for you to worry about your safety. He’ll still lie under your danger radar.
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length will they go to win their darling over?
Kenma adores you. You’re a goddess in his eyes, so of course he worships the ground you walk on. He never wants to cause you any unhappiness and he’ll try his best to make you happy. He’s good at analyzing people and combined with his stalking, it doesn’t take him long to find out what you love. If you happen to love a certain book series, a copy of the newest volume will somehow make into your hands. It you’re a fan of flowers, the most beautiful bouquet will show up on your doorstep. You get the idea. Poor boy is too shy to give it to you directly, so he leaves them in places he knows you’ll find them. You’re lucky if he even writes his name on the card, mostly leaving it unsigned.
He does take your stuff in return. If you ever showed the slightest hint of missing anything he took, he’d give it back immediately, but for the most part it belongs to him now. He didn’t mean to make a sort of alter out of things he’s gathered, it just happens. He needs a place to put everything he’s gained on display, he doesn’t realize just how perverse it looks to anyone else. He takes good care of everything he’s stolen too. He hardly touches anything of yours, only gazing at it, glad that he has something that has actually touched you.
As for how far he’d go, it depends. He won’t kill someone for you, unless you specifically request it. But it’s not something that he does because he wants to. That takes far too much work, it’s so messy, and it’s easy to get caught. But for more traditional methods of wooing someone over, he’ll try his best. Anything you want, he’ll get it. He’s desperate to make you happy. If you so much as smile in his direction, he’ll treasure the memory and think about it every night before he goes to sleep. Although his outward appearance is nonchalance, he would die for you.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
It’ll take a lot for him to ever snap, and if he does it’s not ‘kill everyone stealing you away’ it’s more guilt tripping to keep you from leaving. He’s a patient boy, he can wait as long as it takes for you to love him back. He won’t kidnap you or do anything that could ever upset you, he values you far too much. If you push him away, he won’t take it out on you or anyone else, but he’ll isolate himself. If you fall in love with someone else, he’ll cry into his pillow every night, but he won’t try to destroy your relationship if you are truly happy. He’ll only step in if there’s a risk of you getting hurt by whoever you were dating. Even if you never loved him back, if you were happy, he’d be too.
As for what actually makes him snap, it would be moving to an entirely new country. Someplace where he can’t bask in your presence. He’ll have so much anxiety about you leaving, he won’t have a second thought about self harming himself until you pity him enough to stay. You’re so sweet, you’d stay if you knew just how much he needed you. So he’ll have to show you. He doesn’t really want to hurt himself, but he’ll do whatever it takes to get you to stay. He needs you so much, he’d die without you. You can’t let him kill himself because he misses you so much, so just stay, alright? You’ll cave, it’d be cruel to just leave him like this. He’ll make you happy, he swears. So long as you’re with him he’ll do whatever you want.
From there, he’ll wedge himself into your life as best he can. Having your sympathy is a great tool for him to use. You’re so desperate to make sure that he’s happy and safe so that he won’t ever think about doing something like that ever again. Chances are, you won’t dare try to leave again. Even years in the future it’ll remain in the back of your mind, a silent pressure to keep you with him. When he suggests that you move in with him, you’ll do as he says. You’ll adjust to living with Kenma, he makes it as comfortable as can be. Your room is modeled just like your dream room. Everything you’ve ever wanted is at your fingertips. There’s no way you’d even want to leave, right?
