Guys, if you like the art I post please head over to @null-artie Thats my main blog and im trying to be more active on tumblr in general
Nearly a year ago now I got very heated and was removed from a community I was fairly active in. I still miss it. At basically the same time someone I thought I knew told me they had lied to me and I had known them under false pretenses.
And this person was also active in that community.
So it's like. Even if I wanted to go back, I couldn't, and even if I could, I wouldn't want to interact with that person again

Yes the small humanoid machine is inside the big machine. They do have a bigger version of their head that's incorporated into the big machine
After paying a bit more attention to the rune harps, I think Eva would have looked a lot like Grand Mother Silk
I think they're neat
In the Epilogue of Silksong/finishing out the collectibles and I figured the fleas would eventually gift Seth a fur-coat.

PSA: no name is impossible to pronounce. no name is too hard to learn, no name is justifiably butchered. kids with 'different' names should be taught again and again that being called by their name is a right, not a privilege
there are over 2000 unique phonemes (individual sounds) in the world’s languages, and each language has anywhere from around 20 to 60. you stop learning new phonemes it’s theorized at around age 12. this is where accents come from -- using your own language’s/region’s phonemes to speak
so no name is impossible to pronounce world-wide, but it is very easy to not have the linguistic archive necessary to pronounce a given name entirely correctly. it is a simple case of physically not knowing where to place your tongue, whether or not to vibrate your vocal chords, etc. the only one of the dictators of sound you could be shown is how to position your lips
that being said... obviously you should still try. saying a name as correctly as you physically can goes a long way for making someone feel respected and humanized, and dismissing a name entirely as too hard goes a long way to disrespect and dehumanize people. just also accept that someone’s accent interfering with their pronunciation isn’t a sign of lack of trying, but a sign of physical limits
This is very true. I met a baby at my old store whose name was Navajo. I did my best and actually got a bit frustrated because there was a syllable I could NOT get, and her dad was like “it’s very hard if you don’t actually speak Diné, but thank you. Most people won’t even try.”
Be the one who tries.
Yes, there’s a big difference between getting as close as you can with your native language’s phonology, and just not even trying

Been playing alot of silksong, having design ideas. This game is really sparking my passion for game design once again, and for character design. So have some hornet studies
I decided to design what I think Eva looked like, since I believe she is an iron weaver. Tried to base her on weaver tech and the servitors
It's genuinely so embarrassing being so invested into friendships. I want to make these people laugh. I want to make them giggle. Even if I'm the fool about it, I want to be wanted. I want them to see my name and wonder what I'm doing. I want them to hear my voice and smile like I do when I hear theirs. I want to be a light for them like they are for me.
It's so embarrassing to love like this, to overshare who I am just for a laugh or a giggle, to do everything to make others laugh. And the worst part is that most of the time? I'm enjoying it.
What happens when things are quiet, when the doubt creeps in. What if they don't like me? What if they want me to leave. Am I just being annoying? Are they just humoring me?
When they laugh at my jokes I feel pathetic and invincible at the same time
Peter Parker joining the Fantastic Four as a permanent addition: "Great to be on the team guys"
Johnny: "It's good to have you, but what are we gonna call ourselves now?"
Richards, erasing the letters O, U, and R from the whiteboard
Johnny: "Fantastic Eff?"
Richards, writing the letter I
Johnny: "Fantastic Fi?"
Peter trying not to laugh
Richards quickly scribbles V and E
Johnny somehow still manages to suggest: "Fantastic Fixers?"
Characters who know eachother so well, they act on what they know the other will do even when they're separated. Characters who are such good friends/lovers/allies/whatever that they know what the other will say when something comes up.
Then they argue, because one of them thought the other would want something done, and the other says "I would never", and they both feel betrayed
I don't like machines because I want to escape decay. I like machines because they are kin to me. The ease of customization and the ability to ignore neurotypical standards is what appeals to me.
The cold comfort of steel, the consistent mechanical hums and clicks. A machine doesn't need to pretend to be something it's not. A machine doesn't need to make the right faces or say the right words. Machines simply are. Especially in fiction. Machines are free to not have to follow the social rules. They are free to act under strict reasonings and morality.
My desire for metal is not one of abandoning who I was, but one of embracing who I am.
