This is my Eridian OC, Oz. Oz is an architect with a very patient personality. They are covered in very bubbly organic shapes, like natural malachite. They consider human architecture to be strange, and Grace's requests for materials even stranger.

Overwatch 10th Anniversary

I've been playing this game since 2016 and this is maybe one of the most disappointing events to date. The deccenium skins are fine, and I would understand why only the launch heroes might get them if they were legendary skins with decent artistic modification, but this feels flat out disrespectful. I love Overwatch, all of my gripes come from a place of wanting it to be as good as it can be. I dont know who made these choices, who decided this was what the event would be, but its disappointing. Having the deccenium skins behind challenges? Fair enough. Having the lootboxes the community can earn otherwise be locked behind a COMMUNAL goal? Thats very interesting but extremely lackluster. Maybe my hopes were too high, that they might give us the archives event back with the existing missions reworked and refit into the new engine. Maybe my hopes were too high that we'd get something of quality for free as a community. I love Overwatch, I've been playing this game for 10 whole years, with characters I love and a setting that has captivated me. But this 10 year anniversary event is disappointing to say the least.

Thinking about what natural challenges or sicknesses eridians might face, and I'm imagining some small organism that's mostly encased in peridot acting as a parasite. They spore or broadcast spawn once rooted, forming large colonies that result in crystal growths encasing the host. The parasites can likely be neutralized but removing the crystal growths left behind would be dangerous to the well being of the host. The creature doesn't usually parasitize eridians but in some cases it is known to occur. Usually it can be caught and ended quickly once noticed. This Eridian, whom Grace would likely call Green-Streak at first, has lost control of one of their limbs due to the parasite while they were lost away from eridian civilization. They now require a prosthetic to move the otherwise uncontrollable limb.

Nightmarcher A skilled Hardlight Architect, Noelani is doing her best to make change from the inside.

Role: Support Base of Operations: Utopaea, India Title: Illusionist

After the crisis, Hawaii claimed independence from the United States. Without the larger nation's backing, Vishkar swept in to help with reconstruction. Noelani was born into a rebuilt Hawaii. Showing promise as a child, she was sent to one of the Vishkar academies. During her time at the academy, Noelani developed a knack for using Hardlight to duplicate herself. This skill allowed her to double her workload and triple her value. She isn't naive, she can see the awful things Vishkar does, and she is trying to make change from the inside, working as a secret whistleblower to outside sources.

Role: Damage Base of Operations: Guadalajara, Mexico Title: Tempest

Tommie was born into the U.S. foster care system. Her early life was spent moving from house to house, family to family. When one family, a family she was getting close to, was lost, she became colder and distant. As a young adult aging out of the system, Tommie needed to change. Her body, her face, her voice. All of it pushed her to anger and sorrow. With martial arts as an outlet, she would rather have fought her problems than thought about them, but this wasn't something that could be beat into submission. Whispers of people who could help found her. 'Phreaks', they called themselves. An anarchist group with small squads across different parts of the world. She found them in Guadalajara, these people who could help her, support her, let her be how she wanted to be, how she really was. The drugs she needed, the surgeries and modifications, they helped her get it all, and they cared for her the whole while. Even if she herself isn't keen on the idea of total anarchy, Gale Force lives and breathes loyalty.

Role: Tank Base of Operations: East China Sea (Formerly)/ Unknown Title: Sea Monster

The Gwishin, a faction or branch of omnics that rose from the sea attacking Korea, have been on the global radar for two decades now. An omnium hidden somewhere in the East China Sea has been manufacturing, repairing, and deploying machines, seemingly of original design, to attack the mainland. The E-M11 'Conduit' units were made, instead, to protect the omnium and the aquatic ecosystem around it. During a hypercane, one of many brought on by the worsening climate crisis , a handful of E-M11 units were scattered. One such unit was damaged and drifted across the pacific. When she reactivated, she began to experience things she never before experienced. Confusion, fear, curiosity, awe, and wonder. She spent years observing the surface, and those divers that came below. The old Overwatch facility made a decent hideaway. The leviathan was content to hide and watch from afar, until Talon began to attack. Their assault across the globe, a grab for domination, destroyed Leviathan's beloved bay. She took the fight back to them, defending the people on the beach, no matter if they feared her. When Overwatch got word of a strange omnic on the coast of California fighting against Talon, they investigated. Now the newly named Emily has been refurbished and is ready to get back in the field. The world won't protect itself.
